  1. NP. I`ll check it when I back from work.
  2. I`ll install the drivers, but didn`t tried it before as it was recognized by XP and plain MIDI worked OK but worth trying. I cut the cable off the interface and will solder new USB plug on 10cm long cable as it will be connected to the USB hub inside of controller. Mike, thanks for the links. ;)
  3. Wiki edited. Thanks for pointing me Michael. So, shortening long cable wan`t help?
  4. I`m very sure other companies are making some similar buttons. Not sure but check German Knitter-switch http://www.knitter-switch.com/

    Controllerism

Well, it is new to some people. Most controllerists still use commercial controllers, so simplest modification like this one is "a new thing" What I like is that more and more DJs/musicians are doing some modification to their gear just because they are not satisfied with it completely. Big companies could easily do the research for most wanted features so they can make ultimate, fairly priced, very useful and full featured controller, but what would they do if they don`t left something for V2, V3... Technology exists today, but we still need to wait. That is why I love MB! I don`t have to wait, and I can do it much better in most cases. Money is our only limiting factor ::) Companies have to balance between their future production and current place on the market. How many times we see PCB that are not fully stacked in our products..? ...everything is already designed, but it`s not time for it yet. But, that`s the business. I think modular design is the way to go. I`ve seen some modular controller somewhere with modules with 6.3mm jacks but it is nothing special. :| One modular design is somewhere on the forum too.
  6. I recently bought MIDImate - USB MIDI interface/cable for integration into controller I am planing to build. The interface is built into connector which makes it perfect for integration as it will take very little precious space of my controller. I really like it but it`s not working very great always... Sending/receiving MIDI go without any problems, but sending aplication from MIOS Studio sometimes don`t work. Sending presets to MB6582 from MIDI-ox never worked with it (tried it with 750ms delay and more). :-\ Is it the problem maybe exceptionally long cable it has. It must be at least 3m long :o For plain MIDI data it obviously is not too much but what about sysx? I can cut it short and make new connector if it will make a difference. What do you think?
  7. Exactly. I want to rotate mine 90 deg. and allow other to rotate it as they wish.
  8. I don`t think shipping cost should be considered at all. Chips are small and lightweight and can fit into smallest bubble wrap envelope.
  9. I`m not sure how MIDI signals are treated by SEQ when coming from MIOS studio, but gates are pulsed with 1ms pulse when coming from SEQ. That is too short for standard meter to measure, I think you need an oscilloscope. But as you say you are having steady 5V on gate 6 I might be wrong. :/
  10. Thank you for informing us mr. faderman. It is nice to have you here. ;) Much higher or bit higher? What`s the range?
  11. Can you please explain your question. I really don`t understand it. ???
  12. I think some porno search engine could bookmark this pages as there is to many "X" here. ;D
  13. I just get email from PCB company. The deadline for is 20.01.2008. Not very soon, but at least we know the deadline. ;)
  14. Still waiting for PCB company to inform me when can we expect the PCB`s but I don`t think it will be this year. I`ll keep you updated.
  15. I just arrived home from work and found LCDs on my table. :D It arrived quicker than I expected. Thank you Vlad once again.
  16. ;D ;D ;D
  17. I collected some of those optocouplers and stripes myself thinking of experimenting with it. I never did some experimentations but I guess on the other part should be 2 photo transistors as 2 contacts in encoder so it should be pretty easy to hook it onto DIN. I tested some single interrupt optocouplers from printers and they work fine. Maybe yours are broken.. :-\
  18. First useful Wii misusage. I didn`t know it has camera on top. Very nice find. Thanks for pointing it out.
  19. Congratulations. ;) I hope you not get inspired by this design: http://matrixsynth.blogspot.com/2007/08/sid-6581.html
  20. I just back from my lunch brake with 506 EUR in my pocket. Thanks everybody for paying and Jaicen for favor.
  21. Sure. Tanks ;)
  22. For sourcing the parts I used list from the ladyada website, and it was helpful enough. Ebay is the good source too. As the Mike said getting Greyhill absolute encoder might be small problem. It sells only in US, but can be ordered from newark or digikey. I find harder to get non-rare parts from US than rare ones. All rare parts are small and can be shipped easily, but digikey asked me 170$ to send me smallest parcel. That is insane. But, as the shipping prices are not the same for all countries we better organize some batch. I would probably need more than 30 myself. There is alot of x0x builders in Serbia. I found a distributor from Newark but they say they are getting goods over Farnell so 16GBP are added to the price from Newark+VAT+custom taxes+their percentage (20%) so at the end it end up pretty expensive compared to the original price not to say VAT is payed 2 times. So, I think some other option would be better for us here.

mile widziany zk12 i gratulacje u budynek SEQ
  24. PCB already. Great! :) Thank you Nils. It would be nice to publish the brd and send the copy to the creator so he can include it to the other files.
  25. You sent the money yesterday? How come you didn`t notified me, nor community about that. As you know in order to receive the money I need transfer code, your full name and exact amount you sent. That details I never received so as I`m concerned you can keep saying whatever you like now. After all it is really hard to believe any of your words but that`s your fault. Regarding your life and delay... I can understand reasonable delay but 1 month is too much. Whatever was happening you could inform the community about that. That is not about priority, that is about responsibility A month of silence and coming and going without a word is way to much. About what you deserves... well, you know the best what you deserves but it`s surely not respect. I am reasonable man, and can understand problems and priorities but you didn`t even tried to let us know you have a problems. If you simply say... I`m in shit, lost a job... spent your money to pay a rent... I`m sure we could understand that, and we`ll wait for you to collect the money, but ignorance is hard to tolerate. You spit in our face. I have nothing to say more. I expect the WU transfer details or I`ll proceed as I said. I`m sick of this hide and seek shit. Over and out.
