i'm making a solid mold, so i'll (hopefully) be able to inject it. by mix the 'white and clear' do you mean there's a white version of the sealer, or is there some powder that makes the clear more opaque?

is there no way of getting transluscent rubber buttons then? i was thinking along the lines of using silicone sealer, which is not pourable, but is transluscent and flexible. the only problem is that it is probably too squishy. any ideas?

yeah i meant to say: wax works pretty well too, plus you can polish it up to a fine finish. they use wax in boatmaking, that much i do know, but the molds are resin/fibreglass not plaster, so not sure how well that would work. i remember making a mold in plaster in art class at school, and the forgetting to wax it before pouring clear resin in! boy that was a few lessons wasted in chipping the plaster off!!! ;D

they 'look' correct, but you'll never know until you get them and try them? i really don't know why these places can't say these pins are for such and such an item number. crazy. pc modding websites also have these pins toneburst, but they're more expensive than farnell.

ahh, ok thanks. are there coloured pigments/dyes for use with resin? my dad uses resins all the time to cast his sculptures with and in, so i know there's white and black, i've asked him but he doesn't know of anywhere. an interesting point: powdered metal can be mixed with the resin to give a metallic finish if required.

it uses the ground of the 5VDC, so 5+9=14VDC.

by 'coloured pigments' what do you mean? are these specifically for use with resin? thanks

for everone's info: i just got quoted £15 plus carriage for a Kaoss Pad touchpad brand new from Korg UK Support. from the looks of 13rian's pics, it's resistance based. hope this helps

the core boards from smashtv are dual layer, and as such, don't need bridges. bet you're glad you got those now, aren't you? ;D

short answer: yes. the optimised PSU is capable of powering the full turnout of 4 Cores and 4 Sids, as well as the full control surface 'C', so it'll have no problem with your setup.

the connector looks the same as my iPaq touchscreen, i guess any resistance based touchpad will do!

the polarity of lcd screens is down to the polarizing filter, so you would have to take it apart.

yeah, you just have to watch you don't knock the connection off the glass, cos then the screen is junk.

sometimes a -Voltage on the Vs pin helps, but be sure before you do this.

yeah it's 0.5mA or 0.0005A. so, the current is minimal through the switches. ah well, my nightmares of universal annihilation are meaningless... 8)
