Hi K, Welcome to the MB forum. Some answers on your questions. The one core you have and the sid and din board can be re-used. Nothing has to be thrown away :D At the moment i'm building what you want to build and i'm at the stage of connecting everything. You can take a look in the thread called SIDDER. Which is a MB SID v2 build with 4 SID's with full control surface. MB SID V2 -2 cores with pic 18F4685 to control 4 SID's -4 SID boards + parts -3 DIN boards + parts to control rotary encoders and tacticle switches -2 DOUT boards + parts to led's a whole lot of cable, connectors, pcb spacers :o

Yamaha RM1x.........great sequencer(but who needs it when you can build the MB Seq) and the internal sounds suck big time.......wouldn't spend much more than a 100 euro's......sold mine a long time ago, thank god......same counts for the Korg EM1.......glad i got rid of those for a fair/good price..actually made some profit on them ;D

Modifications for Sample based Drum machines (707,Linndrum etc)
DenDer replied to Futureman's topic in Design Concepts
I own a 505 which HAS to be modded, so yes i'm in for a new venture into unknown terratory :o Allready got a lot of cinch patch bays etc......but driving each sound with a separate 555 timer was for me to much of a hassle...So if there is a MB way to this, that would be nice. -
Totally.....but are there different kinds of SSM 2044 chips? I know you also have a ceramic type....there is a guy here in Holland that sells them but for around 20 euro a piece...is this to much or has Wilba made the deal of the century??
-
I've made mine on stripboard....and it's working......just follow the white rabbit. I didn't make a drawing or what so ever, just moved parts around till it fit and yes you will get some jumpers. Maybe i will make a drawing tonight if i can find the time for you. ;)

"Check out the big brain of SLP" ;D ;D "The metric system that's right" No quarterpounders here.... :P -
@DW do you think its possible that the panels and the pcb's from Smash are shipped as one item? Don't know if that would be a big hassle and if you guys are situated in the same area and all that stuff.....would safe me some shipping costs. Whiiiiii post 200!!!

Dimension fault in dokuwiki MB6582???

Dimension fault in dokuwiki MB6582???
DenDer replied to DenDer's topic in MIDIbox Documentation Project
Then what is a mil ??? A windmill? We got lots of those here.... ;) Very confusing ??? We, here in Holland, use 'normal' measures.. :P And isn't a mm 1/10 cm.... -
Just noticed a fault in the pcb dimensions given in the dokuwiki. http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/wilba_mb_6582 -The base PCB is exactly 9200mil x 7215mil (9.2 inches x 7.215 inches). This fits exactly into the PT-10 case by PacTec, with mount holes that line up with the case standoffs. If i take 9.2" multiply this with 2.54 cm (1") = 23,36 cm or 233,6 mm If i take 7.215" multiply this with 2.54 cm = 18,33 cm or 183,3 mm Am i right?

Jep that seems right...i also counted 123 panels.

PIC branden?

FF een quote van uCapps: JDM MODULE This module has been discontinued due to problems with newer PC hardware. If you don't own a working PIC programmer yet, please consider the use of MBHP_BURNER, or buy a preprogrammed PIC from SmashTV or Mike. If you are searching for informations on the old module, please click....

And if you plug in both SID, l & r separatly into your mixer does that work? This seems like a connection of audio line problem. Are you absolutly sure you soldered both SID audio channels right?

Everything is working fine over here so it should be allright ;D had a mayor harddisk lockup under windows so re-installing the lot now in the windows partition. Came across this post because after the first install it didn't work.......so then you have to read some more and look for similar problems with other users. So when things where running i compared my cmd read out with Thorsten's and found it to be different. Just wondering, now i know. ;)

Sorry for bumping this up but i came across a contradiction........if i look at the PATH variables of TK for example, previously in this thread, i noticed that he doesn't have have the variables of MSYS etc. as first like it's described in the dokuwiki toolchain for windows setup. Like this: C:\MSYS\1.0\bin;C:\Program Files\gputils\bin;C:\Program Files\SDCC\bin;C:\MinGW\bin;C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools\;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI Control Panel;C:\Program Files\Symantec\pcAnywhere\;C:\Program Files\ActivCard\ActivCard Gold\resources;c:\program files\MSSQL7\BINN;c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQLServer\90\Tools\binn\;C:\Program Files\MKVtoolnix; TK's: Path=D:\posix_bin;C:\Programme\Perl\bin\;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;C:\P rogramme\Intel\DMIX;C:\Programme\Gemeinsame Dateien\Roxio Shared\DLLShared\;C:\Programme\Java\jdk1.5. 0_10\bin;C:\Programme\QuickTime\QTSystem\;C:\Programme\SDCC\bin;C:\Programme\gputils\bin PATHEXT=.COM;.EXE;.BAT;.CMD;.VBS;.VBE;.JS;.JSE;.WSF;.WSH He has the system32 etc before the MSYS etc. Does this make any difference? If i type >set path in cmd DOS i get this: C:\>set PATH=D:\posix_bin;%PATH% C:\>set path Path=D:\posix_bin;C:\MSYS\1.0\bin;C:\Program Files\gputils\bin;C:\Program Files\ SDCC\bin;C:\MinGW\bin;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem; PATHEXT=.COM;.EXE;.BAT;.CMD;.VBS;.VBE;.JS;.JSE;.WSF;.WSH Which is the right one and should i change my system path variable?
