  1. If you ask the school book, one cap wold be needed for a first order filter resulting in -6 dB/oct while two caps would be needed for a second order filter and -12 dB/oct like the SID specs. So it might be that both caps are used for the filter and that would definitely result in most resonance if they are matched well. However I have no idea about the SID filter construction, so I am just guessing...
  2. Not even the 5-pin socket seams to have a standard footprint. I have seen at least two...
  3. We apreciate it and worry for your health :o
  4. What are the other components fitted on the back panel. There is some led and some socket on top of that. Anything special?
  5. It is, but I think it was a joke ;)
  6. I think software would be enough for individual channel mute. The mute all functionallity present today(?), is it controlled via software or hardware? EDIT: I saw you allready answered that question.
  7. I had the same problem. This seemes to be a more or less standard footprint: D7 (CL1909) @ http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/59156.pdf I guess yours have the same footprint eventhough they are not from the same manufacturer, skyline7.
  8. I think it would be useful with mute and solo for each channel. That is not implemented is it? I guess it is a pretty easy task though.
  9. What would be the best way to do this? OpAmp voltage follower?
  10. So, for europeans that want both case and panels there are two options. Getting both case and pannels from Doug Wellington or getting panels from him and case from this http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php/topic,12073.0.html bulk order. Goblinz: am I right?
  11. Does the data wheel mate with the same kind of encoders as the 16 ones used for the note select? -> Will 17 of the Voti style encoders be used on the cs?
  12. This is really beautiful
  13. So, eventually you will be able to buy the pcbs from Smash TV's store.
  14. You are so right! I will just build the two projects separately. When my 5x5 gm5 module is finnished i will have plenty of ins and outs anyway :)
  15. What about the 2200uF one? It should be OK to replace it with some cap of higher capacitance as long as the voltage rating is 25V or higher? And by the way, does the voltage rating have to be as high as 25V?
  16. I got an idea. Would it be possible to attach a mb-mixer to an excisting mb-lc for a complete analog audio mixer that can remote control / be remote controled via midi? Are there some obvious limitations that makes this impossible? I understand that the software of the two projects has to be merged in some way and that the memmory of the 18f452 might not be sufficient, but i guess upgrading the pic should remedy that issue.
  17. I have read through the thead now and realize the status of project. I'll follow this thread and see what comes out of it.
  18. I've been browsing the wiki and must say this project look really cool and extencive. I will read through the complete thread now to gain some more understanding. What is the future plans for the mb mixer? In the wiki I read: "Circuit boards are available." I'd love to build my own. PCB's are not available yet, are thay? Are the .brd files available?
  19. Did you look here? http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php/topic,12155.0.html
  20. I just completed my first gm5 module and it works great! Thanks TK and screaming rabbit!
