Das ist allemal billiger als ein USB-MIDI-Adapter, kommerziell, und außerdem mit der Plattform getestet ;) Bei Mike bekommst du mit Bootloader programmierte PICs, für dich wäre der PIC18F452 richtig. Die eigentliche Firmware spielst du hinterher mit MIOS Studio über MIDI auf.

Für RS232 (COM) bräuchtest du in jedem Fall spezielle COM-to-MIDI Treiber, weshalb das keine gute Idee ist. USB geht zwar, ist aber mit den PICs so ne Sache... ich würde zu normalem MIDI raten! Mit gm5 ist das natürlich was anderes ;) Wie SLP bereits sagte, die alten Projekte mit dem PIC16 als Plattform sollte man heute nicht mehr in Angriff nehmen... Das Setup wie du es beschrieben hast ist korrekt, und mit einem DINx4 Modul kannst du bis zu 32 Taster anschließen, das sollte wohl für ein Floorboard reichen ;) MidiBox64 als Softwareplattform ist genau das richtige, die ist auf digitale Eingänge ausgelegt und kann auf Signalwechsel (programmierbar) im Prinzip beliebige MIDI-Kommandos senden. Selbstverständlich brauchst du die 64er Box nicht in voller Ausbaustufe, aber als Basis ist die für dein Vorhaben genau das richtige.

That depends on what you need and which box exactly you want to build. (modular MB-SID with Step A,B,C CS vs MB6582 vs fnpsid vs ...) So, if you could detail which box to build, one could surely help you in a way. e.g., my MB6582 cost me all in all around 400€, including C64s, Wilba SIDs, parts, case and whatnot.

Since my MB6582 is essentially finished, I put together some photos of it under http://users.sr-iserlohn.de/mb6582/ I know the panel sucks badly, and I intend to replace it soon :( The box is currently stuffed with 2x6581, 2x6582 and 2x8580, and I plan on adding 2xSwinSID as well to cover most varieties in SIDs. I did not mount a fan or used feedback pots, as I want to design an outboard box for analog expansion using the DB25 expansion connector.

Probably shipping from .de is too pricey, but I have at least two C64 keyboards surplus which I'll never need.

That's why I stuffed the three-pole headers. I have no feedback pots in my box, as outside feedback control gives you sooo many more possibilities :) Using a simple impedance converter circuit, you can get e.g. feedback, active mixing, analog filters etc. all at the same time!

I haven't yet connected it, but I will connect all audio signals (in and out) to it, plus four Analog In signals and supply voltages. This way, I can add some weird stuff messing around with the analog signals in a handy manner :)

rosch: No, the router isn't based on midibox, due to the lack of uart interfaces. It's based on the mega2560 and will contain two of them. Professional SMT soldering is done quite differently, nevertheless such an oven helps a lot ;) Thx for the comments

It's the next step on the path to trve geekiness... No, seriously, I loved the C64, and still own a handful (very useful things still today!). I started programming on that damn thing! And one o fthe first things I did was the "Michael ride your boat ashore" demo songs from the manual - at that moment, I fell in love with the SID. So, as I stumbled upon this project a few years ago, everything fell into place :)

Beware of the double-sided nature of this board if you're going to etch yourself! For most to be useful, the board should be adapted to single sided plus bridges.

Wie gesagt, für RPN und NRPN Controller gibt es Inkrement und Dekrement-Nachrichten. Wenn deine DJ-Software es ermöglicht, RPN oder NRPN der Playlistposition zuzuweisen, kein Problem. Wenn die Software eine Lernfunktion hat, mit der du Controller "live" zuweisen kannst, ist das in der Regel ein guter Hinweis darauf; im Zweifel steht es in der MIDI-Spezfikation deiner Software. Dein "Billigkeyboard" wird vermutlich nur CC-Controller unterstützen, deren Wertebereich nunmal nur 0..127 annehmen kann. Wenn du die Möglichkeit hast, leih dir mal nen Controller aus, der NRPN/RPN unterstützt; ansonsten kann man dir sicher auch im Musikladen um die Ecke helfen, sofern die ne vernünftige Keyboard/Synth-Abteilung haben :) Batterie ist ohne Weiteres drin, und solange du kein Display oder (viele) LEDs anschließt, ist USB powered auch möglich, nur dann halt mit vernünftiger Filterung. Du kannst prinzipiell auch alle drei Varianten vorsehen, das spielt ganz gut miteinander und du hast je nach Location alle Möglichkeiten (Batterie, USB, Netzteil). PS: Standard schreibt man mit d ;)
