  1. should i add those 2 PCB's to my order on the wiki or just add them when i respond to your email (i'm above the 498 mark)? thanks for doing this TK!
  2. hey TK, can i still add 2 PCBs to my order or should i wait until next run? sorry, i haven't kept up on this thread very well... my bad. :-[
  3. man, you are cruisin'! that's awesome!
  4. oh man! that is sooooo great! i can't wait to start on this thing... ;D
  5. Shit! i didn't even notice the new schematics until just now! is the amplifier circuit from the audio out pin the only thing changed from v.0.3 schematics??? i hope so! well... i've got some de-soldering to do.
  6. man... i used to love stryper! ::) Foona! your stuff is looking better and better every time i check this thread! great work man! soon, hopefully, i'll have some new projects to post pictures of...
  7. Oh man! i just got an AY38912 to do this very thing! well... i guess i'll add this to my list of midibox projects! great work!
  8. 1. it depends on the machine you are planning on working with 2. for binary codes (i.e. ROMs) you need EPROMs, generally 2764 or 27128 chips 3. you need an EPROM programmer and an EPROM eraser 4. you need a PCB with the right pin alignment of the cart port on your machine. i.e. unless you plan on having one ROM per cart, you're better off getting a Smart or Multi cart for your machine to run multiple ROMs. the problem though, is finding a program that will allow you to transfer the ROMs from a PC to your machine... for example, APE(software) and a SIO2PC cable (which there is also a SIO2SD now!) for the ATARI computers or 64HDD(software) and an XE1541 cable for the C64.
  9. what does being young have to do with it? are you an experience solderer? the MBFM calls for a little SMD soldering which can be quite intimidating and has been known to fry a few IC's... you may want to stick with the MBSID if it's your first project.
  10. @ nILS. i'm going to be contacting you through ICQ soon. i just got internet in my new place and i just need to get a hold of a core and PIC etc... i'm going to try and help you as much as i can! ;D talk to you soon!
  11. i actually haven't noticed but i wouldn't rule out the possibility... i'm in the middle of a big move so i can't test it but i will definitely check once i'm settled in my new place. i did test another LCD when i was troubleshooting my PLED and i didn't notice any difference in noise levels... i am using 6581's though and you're using 6582's so there may be a huge difference in what's audible in the background noise. i'll get back to you on this one.
  12. woo hoo! got the chips today! thanks wilba! ;D
  13. i didn't even consider artifacting... woops! my bad. i was just saving him the frustration of trying to upload files that were too big... just trying to help. ;D
  14. Damn USA! i still haven't received my chips yet! hopefully they get here before next thursday! i won't be at this address after that! :'(
  15. right under the comment box, there's a little plus(+) button with "additional options..." next to it. click the plus(+) button and away you go. i would recommend however, converting them to .mp3 or something similar for file size limitations. anyway, i hope that helps.
  16. no prob. i'll need to setup an ICQ or skype account but i won't be able to focus on this for another week or so... i'm really excited. i've been messing with RMT to get my fix until i can get my POKEY modules working. ;D in ICQ, do i just click the "flower" under your name to get your account? thanks a lot nILS!
  17. you should post them!! we would all love to get in on the "whining surreal rejuvenation!" but seriously, i think we would all love to hear these recordings to get a grasp on what you have been talking about.
  18. are you home yet??? just joking! i'm in the middle of a move so i won't be able to work on my box for another week or two. just out of curiosity, can this "POKEY app" support two POKEY modules from one core? i've built two modules so far but was planning on just building one core and connecting them the same way you would connect the two SID modules... would that work? thanks nILS!
  19. over here in the US, i'm having a hard time finding the TDA1543... can i join a Euro bulk order if you guys start one? :-[
  20. i don't sleep. that's how i do it! ;D
  21. no hard feelings man!! i just don't hear many people use "ain't" when english is their second/third, etc. language. i'd love to learn Hebrew! i know Spanish, Greek some Latin and i'm learning Japanese at the moment.
  22. did i send you my address already??? i'm confused. moving sucks. i can't remember what i've done and not done for the last 2 weeks and i'm trying to tie up a bajillion loose ends. AAAAAARRRRRGGGGG! ::)
  23. are the 6581's actual R4's or below? bummer about the remarkings man. i'm sorry to hear that. :(
