  4. wow nice shot again! Just,my own opinion,to improve the thing next time, the video effect sounds a bit linear in the end , you should have put some "breaks" with not rotating filmed sequences for example or just drop the video blob-mix thing just some times. The new wave vibes are very smooth i love the lead line and the voice effect also =) Bests, Jerome
  5. TK is not the only one who can code =) i do not intend to re create the wheel but as rowan said, Accuracy should be the main design rule. That explains my interest in a 16 bits octal DAC, moreover that i did not started PCB work yet If you want to stay electronic side,as i stated, MAX5500 should be the best to adapt to exisiting quad outs max525 designs (12 bits res, same outputs number, pinout similar...). Maybe just an adapter PCB to design to replace max525 in exisiting PCB should be enough to adapt pinout?
  6. MAX5500A / AD5676B sounds clearly the 2 best choices. By my side i'd like to try the AD5676 to see what an octal 16 bits could give, for the experimenting fun. I like the name "AOUT_3G" . After some breadbord tests , maybe having 2 tests variants could be an idea (dual Quad 12 bits / octal 16 bits). @latigid on :to me, MAX5500A sounds the best for your case, eg adapting to an existing routing.
  7. DIP/PDIP DACs are almost more expensive and hard to get anyway. As say Rowan, better face the constraints we will have to face anyway, eg choosing a pretty good unexpensive replacement for MAX525. And it seems that the right solution to this issue goes through SSOP/TSSOP packages unfortunately. The idea of the adapter sounds very good to me, because it would allow to use DAC in the traditionals handy DIY-friendly DIP sockets. Better organize ourselves once the choice is fixed on the DAC to have some presoldered versions on adapters.
  8. I've put the link to this thread in the wiki in Modules and Parts >Bulk Order> Running Hope you will have 25 ppl interested. Bests, JK
  9. @Rowan Adapter Idea is pretty, i'm almost sure some bulk serie could by done by midiboxer / Third part company for almost cheap as you say. By my side, a 8 outputs DAC on this kind of adapter would be THE right choice.
  10. Also @latigid on If we feel like choosing a new DAC in small package, why not trying to have 8 inputs like AD5676 or MAX5591 , as they are both unexpensive? Bests, JK
  11. After a look @ mouser , many nice DACs like : AD5676BRUZ MAX5307 MAX5591 But all TSSOP unfortunately
  12. wow, usually i'm not for smt but i must admit this dac8565 from TI might worth the revisiting, moreover looking @ the price&specs (16bits precision for 15€ @ Mouser)
  13. Wow , the Video quality has really increased from latests shoots. Pretty ! Pro-like Clips soon ^^ I love the electro punky new wave style. Smooth ! Keep on going !
  14. i don't see where the switches should place jacks are those from Thonk ?

As I've said, it's much easier to sneak $1000 worth of gear into the house if it comes in $5 packets.

  16. Synth lines are awesome ! More POV synth videos !
  17. Nice to meet you also =) Still working seq concepts over modulbox modules. I have some music done but software-made (ableton stuff) so i don't think it's good way to post it here. But you may like it, see my soundcloud / myspace links on my wiki user page =) I had almost 9 years of dreaming looking about each 6 months ucapps. Always evolving. And still evolving . bringing dream that i would be able to understand a bit and BUILD ! from SEQ V3 (the rackmounted one) then core boards evolved to bring up MB CV-V2 or the infamous SEQV4/V4L through BLMs. But being mentionned before, since raspberry / arduino / boards alike have came ,it brought many peoples out from MIDIbox :/ I think there is still lot of DIY fun to have with midibox hardware ,and moreover. By my side excepted Mixing tables / Multitracks tape recorders i do not own any hardware synth yet :s But have big interest in (vintage) analog synths !! Want to see korg ms 20,moog slim phaty, waldorf micro q and ... the total setup in the end :D That's always visual candy to me to see (complex) hardware synth setups . Pleeaaase pictures :D Bests, Jerome
  18. wow, dat setup ! PICTURES !!! by the way nice noisy sounds and fun ideas. bests, Jerome
  19. Wow. Nice build ! really proper.
