Just for the record I am very very low footprint and that is a matter of choice for various reasons What i believe on this issue however has zero to do with it Flexi

Can you upload MIOS via GM5 or only directly to jacks on CORE?
Flexinoodle replied to grnsky's topic in Parts Questions
You know your not wrong at all Stryd_one Everyone knows pretty much how much i am into DAWs and how much i use them and i can list a whole bunch of developers including some of the huge ones that dont even care anymore about interfacing with the real world. There whole thing now is to make plugins work great and anything else is just a bonus and everybody should be happy with what they have. Yes the GM5 stuff is a step beyond what was currently available and yes i have done various test for lots of developers now and the truth of the matter is that in the year 2009 a top flight quad core PC or MAC with stupidly heavy ammounts of RAM and cycles at its disposal isn't even as tight as a bog standard Atari ST or Amiga hahaha. May be sad to you and me Strydee but the problem is we (And we have had this discussion before) are very much in the minority :( Flexi EDIT* Just gonna pop up the test results i have had over the last few years when testing computer MIDI timing These arent that scientific, They are just taken from tests i made for a few DAW developers at the time I'm not gonna post all the info here way too much hahaha i will just post a kinda league table in order 1 Atari/Amiga 2 Serial/Para PC/Mac 3 ISA PC/MAC 4 PCI PC/MAC 5 USB PC/MAC 6 Firewire PC/MAC That is the order in which they compared Kind of says everything in real terms when if you look at the order it is actually matched exactly by release time too So the older it is the better it performs There is actually quite a movement at the minute to re-own Atari/Amiga set ups for this very reason hahahaha -

how to sync the MB 6582 with an external sequencer
Flexinoodle replied to xarolium's topic in MIDIbox User Projects
Yes this is documented at uCapps.de read the manual on the drum engine and you will see there are limitations in the timing of the sequencer. There are workarounds but i think you only choice with a DR660 if i remember right (Many years since i oened one) will be to use the delay method. That is feeding the DR660 through a delay first so that it is perfectly out of time and perfectly in sync with the mb6582. Your best bet is to read uCapps.de it is much clearer there ;) Flexi -
From what you have just described i would say very very little programming skill is required to achieve what you want to be honest. I believe the editors for both MIDIBox 64 and 64e allow you to send SYSEX by setting up META events. So really it is as simple as building the box and configuring it, I really dont see anywhere you will need coding to achieve what you want ;) Flexi

Cheers Seppoman very useful stuff :) Flexi

Hahahah lucem was right then That is what he said you wanted when i originally posted that it was called the meter hahahahaha Flexi

Well listen If you want to build something similar to this i am more than willing to help you get the dummy plugins built in Synthmaker no problem ;) The encoders could be done witha very simple MB64e or something so if you want to go for it give me a yell and ill give you the help It is an interesting project indeed but personally doesnt fit me Bt i am more than willing to help you achieve it ;) Now if i could find a letterbox size VGA touchscreen LCD and build that into a case with a bunch of encoders below that would really float my boat but that is because i lack space in my studio ;) Anyway if you really wanna make this happen let me know Flexi
