  1. I agree wholeheartedly! cheers, grizz
  2. I'm calibrating my SSM2044 filters from the Seppomen bulk order, and I have a few questions: First off they sound amazing, pre-calibration. Questions: 1. The instructions on the wiki say to adjust breakpoint trimmers, P3 and P4, to "mid" using a multimeter. When I use my multimeter to measure the voltage at the trimmers I can only get a reading (~3.43v) on P1 and P2, but no reading on P3 and P4. Am I missing something? Are P1 and P2 the breakpoint trimmers by chance? 2. By "mid" the wiki means ~5.33v, correct? 3. Do I need to worry about doing extra cutoff adjustments on the AOUT_NG if I already have calibrated the channels with a multimeter? Thanks in advance for responses! grizz
  3. I got my new AOUT_NG kit in the mail from SmashTV yesterday. Today I built it, and low and behold it works with my V4 Sequencer!! Yay! Why on earth the other one only works with my MB-6582 will probably never be solved. I also second the opinions expressed regarding the dotted delays... amazing! Cheers, grizz
  4. I did miss your message. I already passed the spreadsheet off to Wilba, but he will have plenty of chipsets available. He will post sometime in the coming future with details. grizz
  5. That makes sense. The +grnd- is why i initially tried to set it up in bipolar mode. I must have done something wrong while trying to calibrate it with my AOUT_NG in bipolar. Thanks, grizz
  6. Oh man do I have a dumb question that I can't figure out the answer to myself... Is the ssm2164 module bipolar or unipolar? I am leaning towards unipolar since I can get it to work i unipolar and not in bipolar. Cheers, grizz
  7. ... So I tried different settings with my AOUT_NG, but no luck. I did verify that it does work still with my MB6582... Weird. I went ahead and ordered a new AOUT_NG from Smash... hopefully that will be the solution... cheers, grizz
  8. Argh :pirate: ... I ordered this one: 653-G6K-2P-DC5... I am assuming this is wrong and won't work since it is 5V... Can someone verify this so I can get de-soldering? I haven't been able to get a hold of any ssm2044's so no harm has been done at least. Cheers, grizz
  9. Hmmmm.... If I press "Menu" and turn the datawheel either way nothing happens. It seems there aren't any other pages other than the ones on the screen. My datawheel definitely works... Is there a setting in the config file? Nevermind... I found it
  10. Um.... I'm so sorry for the dumbness on my part, but I can't find the CV config page... Can someone give me the button combos that will take me to it? Cheers, grizz
  11. TK, I just noticed that v28 is released so i will work on uploading it and testing it out with my AOUT_NG tonight. I tested my SEQ and AOUT_NG with my bandmates setup this weekend. Results: His AOUT_NG works just fine with my MBSEQ, and mine does not work with his. This would lead one to believe that my AOUT_NG does not work at all, and is the culprit. The weird thing is that my AOUT_NG DOES work with my MB6582. Hmmm.... Are there maybe some pins on the AOUT_NG that are just used with MBSEQ? Could it be possible that I have a bad solder joint (maybe on the surface mount chip on the AOUT_NG) that matters with MBSEQ and not MB6582? Cheers, grizz
  12. Hey all, Does anyone know a great reliable source for SSM2044's? If possible I'd like to order them from the states, but I know that is probably wishful thinking. Really I am just looking for someplace that, at the very least, is easy to get replacements if some are bad. Thanks! Grizz
  13. That worked for me TK... Thanks!!! Now if I could only get my AOUT_NG to work with my SEQ v4  ...
  14. Yes it happened when I updated from V26 to V27. Echopraxia: I will check to see if I am having any of those issues also... I have been working more on sounds, as opposed to sequencing out stuff so I wouldn't have necessarily noticed... I hope I am not! grizz
  15. I have the same "session invalid" message. I got around it by copying the session directory and contents to my laptop, erasing them on my SD card, recreating the session, and then dropping the session files from the old directory on my laptop into the new session folder... It works... Cheers, grizz
  16. It is still possible. We're getting very close to ordering so don't delay!
  17. We're at 81 orders... getting close. ORDER NOW! cheers, grizz
  18. We're at 78 orders.... Wilba is aiming for October to place the order, so if you are going to want a chipset order soon! *BUMP!* cheers, grizz
  19. Fixed. Thanks for the help. Cheers, Grizz
  20. Quick question: I used frailn's mouser order for gm5x5x5, and I've gotten it almost completely built. Here's my mundane, seemingly obvious inquiry... On the order there isn't a 1uf capacitor, but there are 7 Polyester 0.10uF Film Capacitors when there should only be 6... I didn't catch the missing 1uf capacitor until now, so is that extra 0.10uf cap gonna be okay in C10, or should I order a 1uf? Thanks, grizz
  21. Thanks for the app! Here are my results: I started with no short, and then I created a short on each data pin using the schematic as my guide... I did not create a short between ground and 5v... I ignored the LCD message "please disconnect LCD's" as it didn't seem to matter for this test... 22. Another update: I helped my bandmate set up his AOUT_NG with his MBSEQ V4, and everything went fine (we used my all my cable to connect the AOUTNG to J19 of the Core32). This leads me to believe that I must have some sort of hardware issue with the Core32, since my AOUT_NG works fine with my MB6582. I'm wondering if someone can direct me to some sort of interconnection test app that I can use with mios studio? I checked for shorts and bad solder joints around J19, and couldn't find any. Cheers, grizz
  23. Quick question so that I am totally clear on this issue... If I am building the SSM2164 VCA and the SSM2044 filters to be used with an AOUT_NG, then I don't need to make any of the changes, correct? Also, the changes listed are supposed to be done to the AOUT_NG board, right? cheers, grizz
