  1. Hey Peter :-) Yes, I see the problem with the minor order flooding. That's why I kept the order large enough to pay the "Azubi" to collect the knobs for me and pack them. Actually, the order is an experiment of me, because I want to know how lead times and their business manners are. I think the reason, why the knob bulk orders are so slow here, is that we wait for the guys who check in every 2 weeks in order to save 2EUR in total. Somewhere I read Wilba writing about 30% no answering to PMs even when on a bulk order. Well, this doesn't sound fair to me, if the lazy guys slow down the busy guys. So I thought, man, get an order done and see, whether it works or not and whether it's appreciated or not. Albs appreciated it and I hope you guys do too. I asked them, if further orders in my quantities are okay and they said: sure. Many greets back Martin Edit: e.g. the last bulkorder done by phunk can be split easily into 2 ones: a fast one and a super slow one with no price difference.
  2. I ordered clear, red and blue (transparent). The last two ones in minor quantities, because I first want to know how they look. Never seen a pic of them around.
  3. Don't worry illmenator, if my order had been insignifcant, the CEO wouldn't have replied to me... I don't see any grounds for your claim. And let's see, whether this has to take months or just a week. I actually want to build stuff and I'm sure others want too.
  4. So I contacted Albs by myself and ordered a couple of knobs. They were pretty fast, so I'm wondering why this all has to take months? In next few days, some translucent Drehknopf DK16-190V3 A.6/4,5 AT=14 will arrive at my site. If anyone wants some of these, PM me. :flowers: Price per knob is 1,25EUR excl. shipping. Edit: will post pics, when they arrive
  5. No noise with his model: goobay (wentronic) NTS 1000 EuP MW 3K10GS (tested with both sFM & sSID): http://www.ebay.de/i...=item20c29b6dee Spanish speaking vendors: http://www.alternate...3K10GS/786518/? http://www.amazon.es...44241861&sr=8-2
  6. I'm in for 20 transparent blue or red knobs. But I'd like to see a reputable forum member undertaking the bulk-order. Or at least someone, who pays the order in advance and can show us pics of the material.

  8. yap, or ~ $314+$20. pics will come soon, still in the making (i'm currently occupied with various stuff). :ahappy:
  9. Hi Orange it isn't a "duty avoidance scheme" and for those, who think it is, it can and will be edited. Regards Kristal
  10. $200 = 162EUR :( Or are you just concerned with import taxes? If so, I'll sell it for $75 (or less, I'm not familiar with US customs value limits) + invoice if you need. The remaining $239 for "operating expenses" can be paid separately and are not liable to customs duty as they are services. edit1: Insured shipping to the US is $20 BTW. edit2: I'll post some pics in the coming days, they will justify the price i'm asking. In fact, it's an isammichFM :-)
  11. Hi guys, so I'd like to sell my sammichFM. I hadn't had the time to play with it, so I hope somebody has more than me. It's thoroughly soldered, has blue 15mcd LEDs (no eye burning), a quality Optrex white/black display and some translucent rubber feet, so no surface scratching. I uploaded a video of it on YT. Currently the case has a missing front and backpanel, because I messed up the painting job  But I talked with Wilba and he kindly provided me with replacement panels. They will arrive next week or so. You may paint them way you want or I'll do a black paint job with an enamel pen (safe). Until then, feel free to be the first one taking advantage of this offer. First come, first serve. Price is what I've paid for the components: 187EUR Kit, 15EUR import taxes, 33EUR Optrex display incl. custom & shipping, 5 EUR LEDs, 16EUR replacement panels. Insured shipping is 5,90EUR within Germany, within the EU ~ 10EUR. The offer is valid for 2 weeks, after that I'll put the sammichFM on eBay. http://www.youtube.c...h?v=yoPfGV4LvoE Thanks!
  12. De nada ;) I did business with kaligula76 before, he can be trusted and has probably several 8580 in stock but not listed. Send him a mail, he might put you an 8580 auction up if you are keen on the 8580 ones. But go for insured shipping - it's a long distance and postal people are sometimes underpaid or just tired and your shipment will be lost. It's only 5,50 EUR to Argentina via Deutsche Post

  14. no download available... i dislike pressing the replay button!:fear:

  16. edit: nonsense
  17. I think I figured it out: Set Board jumper: bridged = decreased volume due to R3 being on / unbridged = increased volume Filter jumper: bridged = 6581 / unbridged = 8580 according to x1541 who said: "Ja er ändert die Emulation auf 6581 wenn er geschlossen ist." Hope Swinkels can confirm it.
  18. Thanks for the information Swinkels!
  19. @swinkels: Does that mean that the SwinSID doesn't care whether it is powered by 9V or 12V?
  20. @sparx: Two sites that should answer your question, because I don't know :-) http://www.ucapps.de/midibox_sid_manual_swinsid.html http://www.swinkels.tvtom.pl/swinsid/swinsid2.htm
  21. Hooray, looks like a 303 SID. Does it haz Midibox circuits?
  22. @sparx: Sweet. You're welcome! Yeah, the non-documentation of the NSS is very annoying. I plowed through the forum and brought up this: the first bridge (Set Board jumper) is for opening/closing R3. R3 is just a resistor for increasing/decreasing the volume. The NSS is not affected by the 9V/12V issue as far as I'm concerned. The R3 controls only output volume level and it is not related to this bug. This bug exists in all SwinSID revisions and it affects very small part of tunes. SwinSID is checking for envelope triggering only once per sample and when then registers are changed inbetween you can hear randomly triggering or fading volume level. To fix this checking must be done every register access and this requires more processing power. With faster 32MHz CPU there is a chance to implement this in further firmware updates for ATMega88.[url=http://www.forum64.de/wbb3/user/14-x1541/]" http://www.forum64.de/wbb3/board65-neue-hardware/board288-sid-co/board294-swinsid/36481-swinsid-atmega88/index5.html#post470526 Tried it with my C64 which runs on 12V (the original SID was a 6581R4). After pulling the Set Board jumper, it "pinged" louder. But I think it's best to ask Retro-Donald, because he should know best.

    swinSID nano

Sorry Peter, no SID module currently at hand and so much stuff to do besides soldering one :pinch: Hope somebody buys one and posts the results here in the forum. I'm really interested as well. The Atmel runs @ 32Mhz, but a friend told me they are only specified for 16Mhz. I'm curious if this affects the sound quality. I read about rumors that glitches occur. But without the analog design, the signal should be less noisy. But this is all theory, hope somebody posts practical results.
  24. @sparx: cool, post some recordings, when you get it. couldn't test mine with the c64 due to a broken video output. but it made the typical "ping" start up sound, so i guess it's working.
  25. @sparx: it came already built. i assume it has a mono output, as it's not a stereo twin sid. just the nano version of the micro version. btw: further information on the nano @ http://www.forum64.d...html#post500290 and http://www.forum64.d...insid-pcb-v1-1/ and http://www.forum64.d...no-swinsid-faq/
