  1. I use Ray's (MFOS) I'm not sure of the power consumption, but it's not much. I only use one set of el-caps.

Under the hood. Core, AOUT_NG and power supply (MFOS)
  3. I have never used it as an envelope, but like you say it should be possible with CC I think you can have several CC events on each track and that they can be sent to different CV out
  4. Hi, welcome to the MIDIbox community :) For LFO set the track to CC, set the CV out, press MENU + FX, choose LFO you can read more about it here: http://ucapps.de/midibox_seq_manual_m.html
  5. Sounds great! Really like that KORG bass. Nice filter
  6. I use the Manager together with Ableton. Works fine. I can send MIDI notes from Ableton, and change parameters in the Manager at the same time. I have used other similar setups routed through virtual MIDI ports like MIDI Yoke, but it never works properly is my experience. You said earlier that the Manger runs on ipad? Does it work on Android?
  7. To get this thread back to MB-TIA........ Here is a Q&A I had with Antichambre today: I have been playing with the MB-TIA today. I use it with the MB-TIA_Mgr_1c Is that the latest version? I think because I didn't work more on it. Did you make a Max4Live version, or was that for the POKEY? I tried I think, the difficulty was save and retieve parameters from and to Live because this software filters the sysex messages. I am not sure what all the different settings in the Manager does. Did you write a manual for it? No :) but I can explain Like if I make changes, are they saved in the MB-TIA? Yes after Save press on the right preset. If i change MIDI Channel for the two Voices, is that stored in the unit for the next time I turn it on? Yes normally it's saved the rom memory portion of the pic, and always read at startup If I understand correctly, the patches are stored in the Bankstick. Yes Can I change between the patches with MIDI CC? Of course, with common program change And one CC for the bank (CC#0). Check the Midi chart, everything is inside: http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=midibox_tia#downloads I will post questions here in the future :)
  8. Sell it to someone that can live with it like it is, and build your own like you want it. That's what I would do, and that's what the rest of us have done :)
  9. Actually it looks correct to me from the photos. The cable from J11E on the core goes to J1 of the MIDI I/O module to the right seen from the back panel and is labelled MIDI I/O 1, and the ports are labelled IN A, OUT A, IN B, OUT B. Then the cable goes from J2 of the first to J1 of the second that is to the left of the first still seen from the back. That is how mine are connected as well. The only difference is that mine are ordered from left to right I am not sure what is wrong? It all looks very neat & tidy. I don't think =FFW=> has messed up, it's excellent craftsmanship. Is this the unit in question? It's indeed a premium build! Are you sure you are not just reading the labeling wrong? From what I can see, it's correct according to the labeling. The only thing "weird" is the order of the groups of MIDI I/O and MIDI OUTS and the font. This is how it should show up in the menu according to the wiring and labeling:

This is an image of a sequencer built by =FFW=> I have added some text to help troubleshoot for the current owner. Beautiful work =FFW=> :)
  11. The best would be to change this in hardware where the fault is. You can change the name in software, but the order would be wrong. You can call MIDIOUT 2 for 1 and 1 for 2, but the order in the menu would be MIDI OUT 2, MIDI OUT 1, MIDI OUT 4 MIDI OUT 3. Is it just the labeling on the back panel? Could you provide photos? Is the the beautiful maroon wood case? Anyway, maybe =FFW=> is the right person to help here ;)
  12. In the file seq_midi_port.c in the source files you can change the names save - compile - upload
  13. You're welcome :) It's a nice opportunity for me to contribute. Enjoy your LCDs
  14. Easy mistake, I did the same. You need 4x 1K resistors where one side of them is connected to the same point, and they go to each point. It will not look as neat, but it will do the job. Here is the part I got in the end Mouser part http://no.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Bourns/4605X-101-102LF/?qs=%2fha2pyFaduhn5NAjYhVLSTmfu7034ffGo3c%2f4pGM9XJP044ExaYaWg%3d%3d
  15. I was going to suggest the 4x1K resistor array. I bought the wrong part once, and it was a "series" array and not a parallel that is the correct.

    Very nice Alfredo! Congratuwelldone :)
  18. Could someone please measure the MIDI OUT 1-4 on their STM43F4 Core or MIDI I/O module, and see if they get the same values I get? Cheers, Hal
  19. I have checked that :( The values I got are straight from J11E on the STM32F4 Core with a 220 Ohm resistor from Vd and one from MO4 (and the other 3 MIDI OUT) I have even tested 3 different DISCO boards with different revs. The MIDI OUT 4 from UART5 on PC12 is "hotter" than the other 3 I wonder if this is because it shares pin with this on-board function: PC12 CS43L22 (Audio DAC) SDIN TK, could you confirm / explain this when you have time :)
  20. Ok, done some testing. MIDI thru makes no difference, same result. When I measure between M+ and M-, on all other MIDI OUT pins its about 0,9V, but on MO4 its 2V. This must have something to do with it. Does anybody know why this is? Is it a bug/fault or by design? Can it be changed? I guess it's not a problem for most situations, and my computer can read the MIDI messages, but for some uses like MB SID it's a problem.
  21. Do you mean that I should connect the two power supplies to different wall sockets? The power supplies are not earthed/grounded. I'll see if I can find a unit with MIDI thru. If it works, and the problem is electrical, what does that mean? OK, that should be easy to test Thanks :)
  22. I have tried 088 as well, and it's the same problem, so I don't think it's a bug. I thought the MIDI OUTs where 5V? What is this pull up resistor that is mentioned here? Is this something I should add? The strange thing is that it only affects OUT 4, and only MB SIDs Is it possible to measure the output with a multimeter?
  23. SEQ V4 (STM32F4) 092 MIDI OUT 4 is not working with MB SID. All other MIDI OUT from the MIDI_IO modules and the two Quad IIc are working fine with the MB SID, but for some strange reason not OUT 4 I have tested it with both MIDI-OX and Send SX, and normal MIDI messages are sent like clock and note on and off. Is there a reason that the UART for MIDI OUT 4 should not work with MB SID? I have 4 different MB SID V2, 2 are sammichSIDs and I have the same problem with all. They don't work on MIDI OUT 4, but work fine on all the other OUTs, and other synths seem to work on OUT 4, and the MIDI messages looks fine. I have even tried with a different DISCO board, and checked all connections with a multi meter. Same problem and no bad connections. ????? I just don't get it Any suggestions anyone? Cheers Hal

Thanks. Yes, it's the other half with internal wiring for audio, midi and power. Easy connection with D-Sub cables. Still deciding about the filters and CV, where to put it and how to wire it.
