  2. Good news, won't sleep now... Haha  Well done Sir ! That was a quicky and nice bulk ! Ps: Is this machsymbiont a bot ? Strange first message no ?
  3. hum something like that : But i didn't find anything like that on their website, so forget this ! Bye :flowers:
  4. these too little shruthi are taking all my time, building one, finish it, playing.... building the second, playing the first, not finished.... Damn...

  5. Hello, are you ordering directly to albs ? is it possible to order other kind of knobs ? (such as moog or modular knob ? ) I guess it will become complicated...
  6. Thanks fot the bulk ! Done for me ! That shruthi-1 will rocks with that knobs ! Bye
  7. Blue elephant approuves :D Really nice track, again and again !!!! Didn't understand nothing about the utility of the TPd, but it sound nice !

      Make your own PCBs. Win.

  11. i just read on the documentation (Page 6) that there is a VR Reverse voltage. maybe here is a link with the Pads VR1 (Photo above), and if i connect them, it will be good no ? I just want to try the backlight : could i just connect the 0v and +5V form the lcp17 (with a 2 pins DIL on the screens socket) to the A and K on the back of the screen ? If it don't work, the problem would be on the screen. No ? Bye :)
  12. Hi, i changed do another ribbon with the same wiring as you, but now, when i connect it, and powered the LCP17, the led on the LCPxpresso flash one time, and nothing more, maybe my ribbon is bad, but after verifying the shcematic, my first ribbon was good. so it's not a ribon problem. i mesured the pin with my multimeter : On the LCP17 : Gnd - Pin 15 = 5V Gnd - Pin 16 = 0V On the screen : Gnd - pin 15 = 4.79V Gnd - Pin 16 = 0.11V But i don't have any backlight !! So i claim the problem is something like MaG2k said, it's a brigde or not ? but which one, i don't want to burn my screens, but bridging something wrong.
  13. Hello harps, i didn't draw anythings, but i searchefor another solution. Actually there is 2 type of nice pads (maybe we also can build them !) the livid and the sparkfun. Pros/cons for each : Livid : + They are not expensive (you have to count the pad, the spacer) + They are a bit small than the sparkfun - The ring is fat so there is no place for a 3-legged led if we don't modify them. Sparkfun : + Actually the are using a 4-legged led inside in 3 or 5 mm, so there is no problem to use any led inside (the ring is thinest. + the spacer can be used as module so we can do a clean work. (no strange cut everywhere. - They are (really really really) expensive You have to know that with the sparkfun the BLM will mesure something like 450x450 (lenghtxwidth) Which is really fat ! At my opinion, the work on the livid pad will be hard, but the price is quite better. A BLM will cost an arm. (i don't konw how much, but just the front panel express faceplate will cost something like 400$ !!!!) i have to work on the livid eagle pad and do some PCB prototype. the better could be something like 4x4 PCB, so all could use them and create matrix as they want (like 4x8, 4x16, 8x16, 16x16, or why not 64x64 !!!)
  14. Thx a lot for this schematic, i didn't find it ! Now i could check
  15. Hello MaG2k and thank you for the answer ! I don't know if i understand all you explain, but i tried some things. after read the manual of the LCD i (hope) understand that the pin was inverted. (if you want check, the link are on the page 3. so i tried to invert the wire on 15 and 16, but nothing change. i understand that i have to add or remove bridge. but i don't know which part it is. i add a photo to help. between which pad i have to test, i tried, but everytime it write 1 or -1 on the multimeter screen. Do you have an idea ? Thanks, bye
  16. From the album: Lamouette - Midibox

No backlight on it so there is something to do there !

  19. Hey hey hey !! After  More as 1 month, i finnaly received at home my USB hub, to power my SEQV4. So i plug it, but like the beginning, my screens not lighting normaly, it is so low.... What i could try to have a full power of brightness ? ( manly lighting :D ) Thx and bye ! ps : i'm happy cause just during this time i build a shruthi, so i could use the SEQV4 to sequence it !! :frantics: Re bye !!!
  20. yes, gold applied on the PCB could be nice (and more solid than normal trace). (i'm at job so i can't see all the thing you put on your post) I already worked a bit on a trace for the 3 legged led + livid buttons, but it's not really easy. the part have to be usefull in a lot of project (like the BLM), and fit perfectly with a full pad (8x8) of livid buttons. so it must be suffisant large to have a good contact, and suffisant small to fit perfectly, and let some space around and between the others trace around ! i'll search tonight, some relic of my work om it. If we could work together to find a good solution, it could be really nice and fun ! and usefull for the community of midibox ! :ahappy:
  21. i don't know what is the use for, but care with the mec switch, they don´t have common cathode. all is explain here : if it's for a BLM, i would to use Livid instruments pads, but as the conductor ring is a bit little you have to cut it for use it with 3 legged led (with common cathode, so red green and orange). maybe the solutions is to use SMD leds... i will restart to work on it when weather starts to be sad ! here in Canada, winter was been created to work on Midiboxes ! Bye
  22. i´m building one but i could be interrested by another one ! Give us some news ! :flowers:
  23. ok, i can´t wait more so i order a USB hub (self powered), like that a could work and finish the SEQV4, but i will come back to use that PSU. i give you some news when i receive it , and if my screens lights correctly ! i know i have to check if the SD card reader works cause actually, when i plug the LCP17, it nerver detect my SD card. See you asap ! Bye :ahappy:
  24. breaked the fuse of the PSU.... have to wait to go shopping.... waiting again.... some news later !
