  1. Hey... With MIOS i believe the track LCD would be doable, only u'd have to program the handlers for the controller urself... For P&G faders in the UK, cant remember the exact name of the company, but I just remember them being very dear - like £18+ per fader! Nice if u got the moolah i gues... Best Dan

  3. Hi RAF... I'm using XPSP1 with ICProg 1.05A and following the settings provided by TK on the ucapps site, its all running fine - dont even need that gnd wire attached to the pc or nefin ;) Make sure icprog.sys is in the same dir as the exe file, I didnt even have to place a copy in any of the win dirs... Best Dan

  5. http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=12078&item=3014188034 There u go, he's still selling them! Buy it now price is 8EU... Only thing is - they are pcb mount - however, in one MB box i done, i just glued them to the panel with araldite ;p and they've held fine so far ;), for my next MB i've done some brds for the pots which is a lot easier than having to solder from pot to pot! Best Dan
  6. Hey Xan... I think quality matters more when u use pots in audio applications - for data apps (which is what midi is afterall), quality isn't so important - i assume... I picked up 100 x 10k lin pots of ebay for around £6!, the fella appears to be still selling them too as I recently got another 100! ;) Peace Dan
  7. my mouse worked a charm for the encoder on the SID18F A Step ;)
  8. http://www.panasonic.com/industrial/components/pdf/evab_nm.pdf Theres the datasheet btw, looking at it again - I think we have the right faders for touchsensor input! ;) From PDF: Nice Dan
  9. Hey Basta... Any joy from the extra track on the panasonic faders for touch sensor capatiblity? I had a look at the datasheets for the faders and they have one version that has touch detection ;) so, as T also stated: It might work ;p Best Dan

    MIDIbox LC V1.1.2

excellent stuff again T!! ;) Does this mean it now doesn't matter how the buttons and led's are connected to the din/dout modules? Do the encoders and led rings still go at the end of the chain? Best Dan
  15. and now a few solder pads have burnt off with all the soldering/desoldering - great :( there goes my damn LC display....
  16. well i give up - this bastard is killing me! >:( I musta retinned and resoldered all connections at least 5 times, i've tried using a header on the lcd and soldering to that, wiring direct to the lcd pinouts it's self - all the same results...:(
  17. yes, 16 was wired to J8/S0 (RD0) all the while... Best Dan
  18. whoops... ...it says: 16 - CS1 (-> PIC PIN D.2) I had it wired correctly anyways in the first place and still no joy...:( All connections are fine - hard soldered direct to pin headers...
  19. Hey T... I just meant in the pic u have: CS1 -> Pin RD0 (J8:SO) but in the text to the right it says:
  20. arrrgh!! still no joy, and this is on a new core! T, can u dble chek the pdf/gif of the connection diagrams as I noticed on there u have: Pin 16 (CS1) - PIC Pin D2 But u just posted: CS1 -> Pin RD0 I dunno if it's just a one-off mistake, as u have the wire going to S0/J8 of the core (which is RD0)... But just to make sure, can u confirm the rest is def right, as it's weird i'm gettin the same display (or lack of) with a new shiny core.... Ta Dan
  21. Hey MMM I requested a cpl of samples of that cirrus chip u mentioned, I also have a cpl of them Alesis A/D and optogen too (see this post: http://www.midibox.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=misc;action=display;num=1048154479) which was spose to be for a 16 chan a/d adat project... If they come through and ya still think u could perhaps do summin with em I'll send em ur way... Nice1 DAn
  22. If u send me the file I could host it on some space for peeps no problem... Best... Dan BTW: the pdf should export fine in size, just make sure fit to page or ne other 'sizing' setting is unchecked.
  23. What prog did u design the pcb in? I wudda though a pdf would be good, so peeps can print n etch... Fast work!! Best Dan
  24. Hey Kent... Could I, if poss, peep that schem/pcb of the design you done so i've summin to go on - not really a pcb deisgner tho i must say since being very new to all things EE... Thanks again Dan
