Hey TK... This will be for the Maser Fader ye - i'm doing this, using a regular 10k lin slider. Q is - does this 2nd core have to 18 or 16F edition? Or dont it matter...? Cheers Dan
-
Yes! From AIN PDF: Also, if ur only using 1 AIN module clamp unused pins of J6 on the core (what the AIN goes to) to ground as well... Best... Dan
-
Hey Perka... I'm not to sure? ;p I'm hoping that ADC from Cirrus Mrmusicman mentioned will take care of it all and that it's just a case of going in and out of it... Best... Dan

I think the LED meter bridge idea was possible if I remember correctly from a post a while back. The only issue was the midi bandwidth consumtion... Best... Dan

Get them from ebay, and ask the seller to just send you the 6581/8580 - i must of got at least 10 SIDs of ebay this way! some at the starting bid - £1.99! Most have come from Germany, and all have worked - bar 1... Happy SID hunting... Dan

now that is beast!! and from what i've heard/read so far it seem perfectly doable - good luck! I think also u may even soon be able to have one main LCD that addresses all cores in the 'chain'... Best Dan

Great, I've just got a 240x64 that uses the T6963C controller of ebay for £17.50 (theres 2 more btw ;p) - T, can I send this to you for implementation? No rush, this will be for a future logic lc xt box - i've still the main lc to do!! Best Dan

hehe ;p - yes, the black pixels are visible ;) it's a screen of black pixel blocks...
-
Hey T, Yup blackscreen... I've gone over the tracks a few times and they looked good, but it's happened before and no doubt it'll happen again - i'll go through it some more, is there a particular track or connection it could be? Cheers... Dan

damn man, this MIOS bidness really does look endless.... ;)
-
as i'm using the panasonic motorfaders which are also without touch this applies to me too, so: Does that make the way described in mbhp_din_touchsensors.pdf redundent now that MIOS has this function? Best Dan

This company in Germany will laser cut the panel for you, they even have software on they're site (http://www.schaeffer-apparatebau.de/) to design the panel, which also shows you the cost as you design...you then just send em the file and a cpl of weeks later (I'm told) you get a nice shiny laser cut panel ;p Good Luck!

Hi... I while back i was wondering about the possibility of making an 16 channel a/d convertor that has 2 adat out's with s/mux capability. I posted a query on another board and got an answer that made it seem pretty easy to do - use the ADC of your choice and then Alesis' AL140x chip to get the ADAT encoding. Not too tough technically. The only thing that gets me is the s/mux issue, cos as ur routing inside the stereo pairs u'd have to get pretty fancy on the digital side with some logic programming (to route the 8 muxes). I guess a PIC would be ideal for this, but I don't know a thing on logic programming ;p could anyone with this knowledge lend a hand - is it an epic coding thing or a simple afternoons work for a peep who knows?? All the best... Dan

sounds like a project to watch! good luck fellas...;)

Hey Mickey... Does that sensor u talk off still require an LED receiver too? Or is it just a disc (without spokes) and the sensor thats needed? Best Dan
-
:) okay, musta saved that pdf a while back cos i just found it on me HD, i put it here (T, dunno if u need/have a backup of it already but u cudnt see it on the site so just grab this copy if need be) http://www.notapplicable.co.uk/mbhp/mbhp_din_touchsensors.pdf So, what do the pink dots represent in that pic? Which pin of the motorfader? Adios Dan
-
Hey Ian... Yeah, i remember seeing that pdf u talk of before the site got re-jigged, since then i havnt seen it - still none the wiser on the subject tho... Ta Dan

saw this in another post: Thats that covered then ;) Logic v-pots here we come ;D ;D
-
;D ;D ;D Bingo!, burnt the 16E just for fun and the hack works - what a result!! So, no additional resistors required then by the looks of it. But i'm still confused as as where to put the LED (3pin one in pic).... Best A happy Dan...

Done that but just connected the green and light blue pin of the rcvr straight to the DIN module which had the 10K resistors there already. Moved the mouse and low and behold there was MIDI!! When i moved the mouse left i got 'B0 13 3F' msgs and when moved right i got 'B0 13 41' msgs (tho a B0 13 42/3 popped up occasionally too) I measured the V of the Receiver (if thats the one with 4 pins - measured the red and blue pins in the pic) and it kept around the 4.+ mark. The other LED (sender? the 1 with 3 pins in the pic) i didnt seem to get any measurements from.. ??? So, is it working then? I'm getting midi output it seems so thats a start - whether or not it's the right output is another thing...;p These diy encoders have took a lot to make tho and i'd really like to use them so what to do next? How is the 3 pin LED connected? does that go to the dout module - how would that effect things when i'm configuring a full featured LC box? questions, questions, questions...;p Best... Dan

hehe, me too LO... :P I did get the new MIOS runnin fine on the quad SID i'm doing - and it really behaves and looks like an OS, complete with reboot messages ;). It's just all the files with funny extentions and all that coding that scares me... :o

Hi... Would it be possible to use an Alesis AL1101 (datasheets here: http://www.alesis-semi.com/products.htm) to give a digi out for the SID?, is it a case of just running the audio out into the Alesis ADC, or is there other factors to consider? The datasheet for the eval board seems to make it look pretty easy to configure ;) Best Dan

Hi Lo... Not sure i quite get this, do you mean u just assign a regular button as touch sensor? and press that to disengage the motor? But u say the f/w already takes care of this when u move a fader...hmmmmm Mebbe i wont bother with it, what's the benefit of it nehow...? Ta Dan

okay, the lcd is connected as in the current pdf on the site...
