  1. Well, you want 1.74685, but seeing as it's the same hardware, you'd be mad not to just run v2.
  2. Awesome! I hope we can continue our conversation about this in the chat sometime soon :)
  3. omg not karma again.
  4. Yeh well you don't need to use a separate PSU for each unit like that, so you can save a bundle by making your own PSU to power all 8... the other components will only be a few bucks... Shipping will be about the same for 8 as it would for 1... I know what you mean though. Trust me thought this will sound about 1000 times better than the b*hringer. FYI, behringer will have new gear announced in the next two weeks, so you might like to hold off, if you're considering that route.
  5. Unless you *want* it to do that :) Cool mod man! The shuffle patterns are an interesting idea!
  6. I just had the Middle East, can I get that to go? Yeh, supersize me.
  7. Totally! How'd you do that case mod? Great stuff!
  8. Wow! Thanks Mike... I came across the Pico when I was buying a LED-meter for my GSSL (they use the same board) and I even looked it up the other day when Bunsen first posted here... I should have scrolled down, cause I didn't realise how bloody cheap they are! DrBunsen, I know this is ever-so-slightly over the $30 /channel target, but these things are darn nice and totally worth the little extra - not to mention they're designed for balanced IO so no need for additional stompbox conversion stuff ;) (oh and the PCB's are really nicely done) See you in the chat (hint)
  9. Man you sure know how to roll with the punches :) I don't think you should talk it down so much... DIY or not, that's a tidy looking box you made! Don't sweat panel mount pots either, I actually prefer them in use, but of course they're harder to wire... That looks nice. I was about to suggest black mounting hardware, if you don't like the nuts being exposed under the skirt of the knob (omg, there's a few double-meanings there!), but it seems like you've kinda already got that covered (more pun)...How come some of the pots have that hexagonal black cover over the nut, but some don't?
  10. Don't be sorry - griping is important :D (at least, it is to me.... anything less would usually amount to complacency ;) )
  11. I voted maybe, because it is the only valid option, because you didn't include any information from alesis or give them an invitation to respond, so it's impossible to say what they are doing.
  12. This topic has been moved to Fleamarket. [iurl]http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=10922.0[/iurl]
  13. Very interesting... Must...not...hijack.... :-X ;D Thx TK.
  14. What? LOL you think too much, especially about me. Next time you think you have me figured out, think again ;) I'm not talking just about you. I'm talking about everyone. You mean, in addition to griping about it... Now you're talking :D Thanks!!
  15. LOL! Got Europe?
  16. I reckon it makes this question an infrequently searched one!
  17. If I had a dollar for every time I've heard that, I'd be rich... If I had a dollar for every time I've heard that and never seen the code, I would buy Europe. ;D
  18. Perhaps this is a good time to mention a thought I've been having for some time now: Would it be practical/possible, to implement the FM engine on a 4685 as a CAN slave(similar architecture to the MBSID v2)? Obviously this would be a big job...
  19. My apologies - I meant to finish this job yesterday but I started a cabling job that I thought would take ~12 hours and it ended up taking ~36 hours to get 1/3 of the job done... So I'm a bit behind schedule... Big Ear, if you wait a couple of days, I will have documentation written, or you can meet me in the chatroom for advice.
  20. Rednas: You don't - use SIL resistor packs like smashtv supplies Both: Built-in resistors would be impractical because the value of the resistors would vary from one design to the next. IE, what works for midibox, might not work for behringer....So, they're not built that way.
  21. You need better speakers :) As nILS said though, the idea here is a cheap alternative. Sure it puts clicks in the signal, but it's **cheap**. Perhaps filter caps could reduce the clicking though, if you feel adventurous...
  22. Do it :) I think they should contain links to each other, and perhapsa preamble suggesting that people include information or links to it, regarding their situation. It's not uncommon for the same interface to have varied results on different machines or setups or situations etc...
  23. Toxic: As ilmenator said, that's the watchdog timer or WDT. What it does, is watch the application, and if the app seems to be stuck (if something takes too long) it resets the PIC. Obviously that's a long, long function, and it angers the watchdog. During the application's runtime it could have negative effects on timing, but in the init section of your app it should not be such a big problem. All you have to do is 'feed the watchdog' by clearing it's timer. Just insert: __ASM CLRWDT __ENDASM In or after one of your loops... when you need to call this will depend on your app. Edit: and search the forum for CLRWDT for lots of info.
  24. Actually I like to think of it as a spiral, but I like to change my music a lot as it plays ;) OK, stop it. I have enough projects already ;D
