  1. The power problems could be the crux of it all... what was the "fooling around"? Could be lots of things, the more data we have on the problem, the better guess we can take.
  2. Well if MIDI is the language of Gods maybe this is an angel :)

That compensation delay thing is ITB audio.....I can't help but wonder if there are ne dev's with outboard to test it with ;)
  4. Nah mate it's not like that :) Just I dunno, it's best to make sure that 'the group' has ownership of stuff that represents 'the group'. No big deal, no need to stress! :)
  5. Ahh that's why... it's not a thread it's http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/soldering a wiki page! :)
  6. NEW 1.2M Length x 27 Rack Unit Universal Cage Nut Strip AUD$30. I've seen them on US ebay called 'rack strips' also. Edit sorry for the hijack! I'll split this if the chat keeps going :)
  7. Count me in x3 :)
  8. Get yourself some NVIS paint ;)
  9. Well you certainly didn't upload it with MIOS studio in smart mode! hHehehe Your upload may or may not have been completely successful... Although it seems fine from what you said :) Possibly, but probably not. The same situation as above still applies.
  10. Heh, it wouldn't be midibox forum if politics didn't come up. Thanks for helping meet the quota, gents :D Just leave $deity out of it ;)
  11. You can get the rails on ebay too :) (Hey DrBunsen did you notice they are now selling them on Aussie eBay as well? At last!)
  12. As always, please ensure that ownership of stuff with TK's name (midibox) is made available to him :) Seeing as I have said this a few times recently, I should explain that a few years back, another community I was a part of had a member who basically stole the name. Not intentionally, but he passed ownership of a site like that to a friend, who took it to a different audience. Basically killed the community. I think this community is too large, strong, and old, to have that kind of thing happen, but still, it's probably for the best. I always wanted to photoshop the weet-bix box and make it say midi-bix or something :D
  13. Moral of story: document your masterpiece on the wiki :) I sound like a broken record..........
  14. You know, somewhere, is a whole other thread talking about this. I looked, briefly, and unsuccessfully. First one to find it gets a lolly. ;D Should I move this to midibox documentation project subforum?
  15. Very interesting! I hope you'll take a little while to explain to us any mods that were made... Obviously the 4x40 is not standard ;) But it may be running the normal firmware? PS I don't like offsite documentation because it almost always disappears after a time... If you can document it here or the wiki that would be great!!!
  16. Heya mate welcome aboard. Given your experience and skillset, I would just buy a few kits from smash and get stuck into it. Maybe you'll want to save a couple bucks on shipping any other parts you need, so maybe hit the wiki or ucapps, figure out what modules you need first, then buy... Otherwise, just get a Core, DIN and DOUT kit, and go for it. You're most likely going to need to write some code for this of course, which would be in C or PIC ASM. Hope that helps!
  17. Guys can we [move][glow=red,2,300]PLEASE LET IT GO?!?!?!?![/glow][/move] Seriously, all this talk is just depressing, it gets nobody anywhere. I know we are all feeling very frustrated and sometimes feel the need to 'vent' but it's been months and months of gripe, gripe, gripe.. Control yourselves please, let's spend our effort on more enjoyable things than complaining. Forget this guy, build something.
  18. Oh damn, I didn't get into it because it was going to be 2.4. D'oh! Great to hear it's getting the upgrade too!
  19. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who had this trouble. If you can't get it to behave, I don't stand a chance! ;)

Sounds like they forgot that you need to write custom timer routines for windoze.... FYI the wavetable port is treated the same way as external midi.
  21. Funny you should mention it mate, I have polarized sheets on my shopping list for just such a purpose.... I think we (IE, my dad) had that same tech when we were kids... I saw a more recent version, with some kind of mirror-reflective stuff over the display, so it was silver with blue writing. Very 90's but pretty cool!
  22. Sorry Rio, I have been taking care of some annoying things in the real world... Don't they understand, I have Midiboxen to make? Sheesh! Anyway just touching base so you don't start wondering if I closed the tab again ;) Back soon...
  23. oops I'd forgotten that :) Well we can buy each other a beer .. or 10 :) No worries about updating the zips mate, just email anything you need uploaded to me, or let me know and I'll upload/modify as required.
  24. Whoops I must've closed this tab by accident... No open tab, no work was done.. Darn my useless brain, it can't remember anything without a firefox tab or an outlook reminder ;). I'll try and find time tonight. LOL @ your 'tip' (aka 'how to find the answer') , thanks TK! heheheheh
