  1. ;D One time when he was at my house, he coughed and one came flying out. I think he likes to smoke silicone.
  2. That sounds rather thorough :) You might want to test the VCAs somehow too... Of course, they're meant to be faulty ;)

I think he means code space ;)
  4. Hey do you think if we strap rockets to it, we can break the land speed record? ;D
  5. That sounds more intuitive :)
  6. Yep, they're great. Zero crossing is programmable (you can turn it on and off as needed)
  7. Thanks mate :) That's strange... [me=stryd_one]looks at TK[/me] :D
  8. All that advice was bang-on as usual bud. As for the timer, you could use TIMER0 if you don't have AINs and are using MIOS >= 1.9f, but I'd probably increment it with SR_Prepare, which ticks every 1ms. FYI: Timer0 - 100ns - AIN Sampling. Available as a counter after MIOS 1.9f Timer1 - 1ms - SRIO, Message and DIN Debounce counters, GP counter. Timer2 - Buh? Seems to be pretty much unused.... IIRC the PWM peripheral uses it, but that thing's still a mystery until someone needs it badly enough ;) Timer3 - * - User Timer (Calls USER_TIMER) (I read that ~6.5ms is the default, but you can/should set it)
  9. Sorry this one took so long! You definitely should remove your SID and test all the voltages... I'm a bit worried because I'm sure the instructions on ucapps.do say to check this first, so maybe you aren't following those instructions... You should :) See the above.. There are tests for certain voltages on certain pins. Yeh... Smash's PICs come with the bootloader, and recently also MIOS, but not the MBSID application. If you haven't uploaded the application it definitely won't work! Well that could be one of many things. At this stage, I would disconnect the SID module, test all voltages, get the core working correctly, connect the SID module and test it's voltages, insert the SID and then test. Let us know how you go :)
  10. That's great news matoz... Maybe you could take a few minutes to document the answer here (in English) so that others who might have this problem in future can find the answer with a search ;)
  11. Hi Echolot :) It would be possible to connect ISA soundcards (this has been mentioned many years ago), but the connection would not really be so much more simple than a SID. If you want a simple project to get started, you might consider making something like MIDIMon or ClockBox :)
  12. Roelli, you should look at the MBMixer project ;)
  13. 1) How cool, thankyou! 2) I REALLY don't like having to have a login to download this. I'm resisting the temptation to post them here so that people don't need to give up personal info. I don't see how it's necessary. 3) What a shame that there are TWO VSTi for controlling MBFM... Both in beta... you guys really should work together! FM VSTi control surface Keep it coming, lose the login, work as a team, and this is a good thing :)
  14. Normally you have to have some documentation in the wiki for a post in this forum, but I think that given you have a semi-working PCB we can overlook that ;) But please share it soon!
  15. Please Read Before Posting New Topics: What is a "User Project"? Search ;) There are a few of us (including myself) who have 3396's and have been planning to make a synth with them, so I'm sure you'll get lots of help... But first you should run a search and catch up with the state of this concept.
  16. Yeh, JimP has a problem with smilies, since I pointed out that smilies were a necessary evil (so people know you're joking when they can't see your face), these goons have started replacing a smiley with *whack*. Personally I think the lead fumes are kicking in! ;D Long live the smiley! The dead chook is extremely effective though, and thanks for the link Wilba that site is great !
  17. For SIDv2 and other 4685 based projects, yes you will. Those PLEDs don't like to run in 4-bit mode.
  18. I don't use facebook so I'm not sure how it works.... But if there's a password or ownership of the group or something, make sure TK has access to it, cause midibox is his name :)
  19. .3V high is probably OK.... Chances are, that's an error with your meter ;) about the LCD cable, did you follow the PDF guide? That's definitely the way to go.....
  20. Oh thanks for the info Roger :) So is anyone else interested in these? Let me know if you're going to bid, guys!
  21. Aussies: Penny+Giles PGF3000 series 104mm Faders This guy has a few listed, currently at $10
  22. Thanks for letting us know what it was vincent, good luck :)

Tasteful :) Although if I were you, I'd learn from the last time, and do that last 5-10% before I start building ....
  24. The answers you seek will be found on the forum and wiki... Have a look around :)
