  1. Sounds like it's simply drawing too much current for the PSU. Do you happen to have another one? Measure the current consumption that might answer that question.
  2. My guess: A Bleep Bloop Ffzzzzz Chrrrr Box? Since it's supposed to be a x-mas gift to the midibox community, there's no info and just some random clips of this thing that I cannot reveal yet cause it's just sooo cool to go around with random tidbits of teasers, especially if you turn the volume all the way down in the video for no apparent reason so you have to turn your stereo way up and risk blowing your speakers when some windows notification happens at the same time as you're watching the incredibly awesome and totally random teaser.</rant>
  3. This is what you should get.
  4. maybe y'all should smoke less :w00t:
  5. Here's a more noobie friendly CS Test app :) sammichCSTest.hex
  6. J13 is MIDI In, J12 is MIDI Out And it would certainly help the troubleshooting process. Failed upload or corrupted firmware may cause that. How does the rebooting manifest itself? Sure about the pic ID? Check the bootloader's upload request, it has the ID in it.
  7. Whee! :frantics:
  8. A search for ultra's midibox live might get you some interesting results:
  9. Terminal strength (which you didn't mention in the OP) is indeed how much pressure it can take before breaking :)
  10. Nice spot ;) Fixed.
  11. Good one
  12. That's clearly and advantage of the black matte panels case :)

    Taster

Conrad, RS, Mouser, Digikey haben die Taster.
  14. The values are given in "Newton" (N) which is the si-unit of force. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newton_(unit)) It does not have anything to do with durability but merely tells you how hard you have to push the button and how hard it'll push back :)
  15. As long as you use it as you're supposed to (ie a very small amount in the right place) there's nothing wrong with using it.
  16. Is it making your ears ring as well? :ike:
  17. Yes, we're a nice and helpful bunch around here :flowers: (except for that Aussie Wilba-dude, he's a meanie :poke:) Generally your DIY controller won't be a lot cheaper than a commercial one, especially if you factor in the time. But it's going to be exactly the way you want it ;) The sparkfun button pads are nice and (sh)rubbery.
  18. I am not sure about the setup with the "regular" AOUT module, but with an AOUT_NG all 8 gates are on the J5 pins, and I'd assume you'll have the same behaviour with your setup.
  19. Get an LCD that runs on 5VDC (most do) the controller and display itself don't need much power it's usually the backlight that's hungry, nothing to worry about though ;)
  20. Da. gm5_1.0.6.zip
  21. What midi device are you using (ie is in the blacklist on the wiki)?
  22. AOUT_NG has the same connections as the "regular" AOUT.
  23. At reichelt they're 0,11eur each, at mouser has them for the same price iirc.
  24. The small tacts that are used on the mb6582 for instance are pretty much as cheap as it gets. More inputs? Matrix.
  25. I am just wondering why you are reposting your original post.
