hmm... nothing in the news... perhaps AC knows something about it...
  2. let's simply look at the single In and Outputs: DOUT: 10*1 LED = 10 LEDs A DOUTx1 Board has 8 digital outputs. so in this case a DOUTx2 Board will be the best solution. this will give you 16 digital outputs which are more than enough. As you cannot buy premade DOUTx2 Boards from Smash or Mike, you can either build it yourself on a vectorboard, etch yourself a DOUTx2 PCB or simply buy a whole DOUTx4 PCB and cut it in the middle if size matters. more information can be read on the uCApps DOUT page. DIN: let's take 3 buttons per box: 10*3 = 30 buttons a DINx1 has 8 digital inputs, so a common DINx4 Board will be the best solution as it offers you 32 digital inputs. If 32 are not enough, just add another DINx1 , x2, x3 ,... more information can be found at the uCApps DIN page AIN: let's take 4 pots and 1 joystick. one joystick has 2 axis -> so it needs 2 analog inputs (one for x and one for the y axis) makes a total of 6 analog inputs for one box. 10*6 -> 60 analog inputs needed so you've got to use 2 AINx4 boards which will give you a total of 64 analog inputs. AFAIK one Core can only be connected to a maximum number of 2 AINx4 boards. But I'm not sure about that In case you need more than 64 Inputs you'd have to connect them to a second Core and somehow merge the midi signals of the 2 Cores. If you're unsure about something, then READ uCApps and the WIKI !!! regards
  3. mine too. that was pretty fast compared to my last order where it took definetely more than one week until they arrived. Thanks Wilba :D
  4. Now that's what i call chiptune :D http://www.sputnik-booster.de/ (new album can be downloaded for free) Sputnik Booster makes the music and the Future Posers wear trashy robot costumes and dance with the party crowd. He played at the "Agrat am Agatha" festival (just in case anyone has ever heard of it) (unforuntately I wasn't there...)
  5. edit: alright... you prpbably meant Sputnik Booster ;) -> new thread in the songs&sounds folder
  6. I'm sure I understand that sentence *pretty* wrong... *whack*
  7. Awesome!!! :D :D That's exactly what I've been waiting for since I've built my MB_SID :D Thanks TK! Thanks Rutger!
  8. I don't know why you need the external connectors. Do you need them for external Banksticks? In this case you only need 4 pins for each IC: +5V, GND, And the 2 data lines. This could decrease the size of your board edit: had a closer look. I think I know now what you're wanting to do.
  9. Rasteri has built a scratch-capable crossfader. you can see that in the youtube video (though the sound is not in sync with the video, but that's a known youtube problem). So done84 could just ask rasteri how he did that. The thread is named "scratch wheel" because rasteri didn't want to stop at that point, but move on to a scratchwheel.
  10. here you go: http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php/topic,11167.0.html just use the "search" function of the forum
  11. Why didn't you tell me that yesterday *before* nILS and Wilba made fun of me ? ;D ;D
  12. If you're running Windows you've got to take care that you use upper-case letters only: /PART
  13. Erstmal ein herzliches Willkommen! :D sowas is natürlich realisierbar.
  14. just try to put a resistor in series with your PSU: +16V------R-----GND Then measure again. I think the voltage should drop.
  15. that's correct. But I think that the 16V will drop to 14V as soon as there's some load hanging on it. But take care of the electrolytic capacitors. AFAIK the ones used in your project are rated at 16V maximum (but I'm not sure about that), so take care. If you exceed the maximum voltage (or connect them with the wrong polarisation) electrolytic capacitors will explode! And you don't want that those toxic and highly corrosive acids in your face/eyes. And of course tha bang wil be pretty loud. matthias

    utopia live!

no problem with a good PCB and a proper soldering tip / desoldering tool
  17. So Access was the thief? ;D ...And why do I always change NI with NI? ;D

http://www.tweakbox.de/ It's a new DIY Project made by the guys that also did the ML-303. It's another TB-303 "clone" ("emulation" would fit better here), but it's completely digital and uses 2 PICs. So soldering is easier and it "could" be implemented in a midibox.

nice :) I've heard that you'll do the tweakbox panels once it's released! ;)
  20. AWESOME :D :D "MB-SID TI" (yep. i've stolen the "TI" from Access ;))
  21. that's sad. with the new GM5-USB-MIDI-Interface someone should program some editor and patch librarian software. Something like the software for the Roland SH-201 which works pretty well.
  22. NICE :D :D really awesome! you could try to find some smaller knobs instead of building a second box for them.
