  1. Hey George, Thanks for the reply - it also covered my next question!! I'm still testing all the hardward at the moment (long story) - I'll have a look through the code and set the UnMuxed ....
  2. Hi, I'm running a pot direct to the core and I'm also using apps such as ain64_din128_dout128_v2_0 I've got all the unused AINs grounded. When I move the pot I get the correct readings, however I'm getting the readings on multiple ins. I'm assuming this is because in have no AINX4 connected, so it's expecting a multiplexer response rather than a single pot. Am I correct?
  3. lol, the "masked sandwich holder" - finally a superhero that can provide snacks too!
  4. RS, Conrad,
  5. of course you could run a dual boot PC with OS X and XP...
  6. they are PCB mount buttons. you'll need to make custom PCBs for them.
  7. you might be better off asking smashTV directly via his web contact page: http://www.avishowtech.com/mbhp/contact.html
  8. lol, I wish I had the time.....
  9. I've just bitten the bullet and ordered 1 of everything that looks interesting (well interesing enough to pay for), cause way I see it, you've gotta feel 'em and give 'em a good old battering to make sure they are upto the job - especially if they are going on the road with you
  10. not sure quite what u mean, but here goes at an explaination an illuminated button will (usually) have contacts for the switch and separate pins for the LED. you can use the same negative for the LED as for the DIN. obviously the positives will need to go to the DOUT and the DIN
  11. of course you can mount them on a PCB! just make a custom pcb and run a DIL connector back to the DINs from the custom PCB...
  12. Borgupine - love it but am disapointed to find a google search returns 0 results. I was hoping to adopt one...
  13. I know the feeling! I'm still using my uc33e for gigs, and it's doing my head in, it's like having 2 hands tied behind my back compared with what i'll be able to do with my full midibox...
  14. Hey Teun, You'll need the following: A Core At least 1 AIN if you want a few analogue ins at Least 1 Din4x if you want a few digital ins A USB to midi interface Read all the docs on the site and you'll be on your way
  15. hey alex, don't get discouraged, I've had my fair share of problems to overcome, and now I've got my hands tied time-wise, very frustraighting.... look at it this way, you never really appreciate things when they come on a silver plate, but the things you struggled for and worked long and hard on you really do cherish.... good luck and keep at it mate ;)
  16. anyone worried about lead or other metal poisioning should maybe check out chelation therapy...
  17. what's the point of using a carbon filter in an extraction role? you'll get no benefit personally, reduce the airflow and spend extra cash. The only benefit I can see is not releasing certain chemical into the outside enviroment and given the tiny amounts when soldering on a non-industrial scale I just can't see the point...
  18. I'll bet you probably already have done this but... have you tried another app like the ain64_din128_dout128_v2_0 to check the DIN? also have you tried each DIN connected on it's own to the core, to ensure both DINX4 boards are healthy?
  19. I know that feeling only too well! I've found that building my m-box has been a lot like coding - you know sometimes you'll be having a nightmare with a bit of code after a long day, you go home sleep and in the morning you do it in a few minutes. Good luck with the box, don't work too hard ;)
  20. anyone know where I can get a digital horses head? I need to make someone an offer they can't re-fuse....
  21. it's certainly possible to do what you want in C, I've written similar random functions for non MidiBox stuff. You'll need to read the clocking signal - this bit I don't know about. You can trigger relays using an AOUT module.
  22. great news - thank you very muchly ;)
  23. What ya been smokin to make your lips tingle??? lol
  24. I've got the architecture and programming skills but absolutely no time (currrently working an average of 16 hours a day 7 days a week). I'd love to help out where I can, however I need to make sure I don't commit to anything I can't deliver due to other commitments. Perhaps if I advise / give help where I can with other ppl doing the more time consuming stuff?
  25. Maybe they just need to be easier to find? Or perhaps provide a start here link to a doc like the one suggested in the email when you sign I can never find the noob for dummies post either...
