I think you may have some problems as it is probably a switching powersupply? And I think this is bad! but someone else may be able to correct me? ;)

Yeah they are pretty much the same to wire up, except they sometimes have 4 pins instead of 3, you can just leave one out.

You probably are after just plain Faders. Motor faders are motorised faders as in when the fader on your screen increases/decreases in value the fader on your box follows like on some of the big name consoles Apart from that they arent any different to normal faders. the touch track allows the fader to disengage when moved by hand. LO

Make sure you have a fuse inline with your P/S to save any damage when you get a short I went through about 8x 400mA fuses when I was testing! BTW my LCD works fine :P (sorry)

For a really cheap one go to old second-hand/junk shops and buy an old rack mount case then you can chop it up and paint it eg I picked up a 8 way rack mount power box for 10 euros, needed a bit of work to mod it but looks sweet now. ..

Hi Check that your wires running to the backlight pins are round the right way because the backlighting is normally by LED so the current will only flow one way. The A & K pins are normally connected to the respective pins from the main connector via conductive tracks on the LCD board; Check them with a meter to confirm this, if they are you do not need to hook them up. You should have a data sheet with your LCD to confirm this? 'ight? LO

Hi The MF Board has a seperate P/S approx15v controllable with a pot on the MF board (allows you to fine tune the Voltage for your particular faders.) The Core only needs 5v@500mA 5V faders..... are perfect for this application most people have 5V faders, so you can build the MF module without modification :D

Sorry I cant help you with Photo resist methods but... The simplest & best way to ensure excellent results is the transfer toner method (cheapest too I think?) just lazerprint it on backing from adhesive labels apply some masking tape to the top surface (thanks Ian!) and iron directly to the clean copper board, then just shake round in some etch solution; done.

Hi With no pots connected you need to have A0-A7 connected to earth you will get much random data otherwise. Also ensure you use a 0.3-0.5A fuse inline with you power supply (especially when testing), incase you have any shorts this should protect your circuit. Hope you didnt fry her! LO

I think this is what you were looking for: Note 5: outside europe the BC337 is hard to find, the 2N3904 is a good replacement But note that the outer pins (E and C) are exchanged - you have to upturn the transistor to get the E, B, C pin matching with the PCB

OK you should have mail its still in its early stages: No Paint No Legend The buttons have removeable clear caps so I will add Symbols/graphics to represent play stop etc The bottom horizontal faders are for virtual scratchin top for pitch control, the others should be obvious =LO=

YUP! You can set your software to record the movements you make to the levels then when you play back the track the motorfaders move magical like! ;) As found on expensive motorised desks.

Hi Im running XP sp2 with IC prog 1.05 havent changed any settings and it works fine? Dont know about using any other drivers? Just the standard IC prog seems to work just fine? for me anyhow, BTW my voltages are not quite as they should be but it burns fine every time? It does sound like some peeps have had a few prob's with win2000/NT so as a last resort Win98/ME could be an option. LO

I have been using the Yamaha drivers for the past 4-5mths and have had no prob's, conflicts or crashes. Havent tested the Roland drivers yet (I had no need) LO

yeah, I have made a controller it looks pretty much like a standard DJ 2ch mixer, but its not pretty enough to post pictures yet! :) You could get a local signwriter/plastics engineer to cut you a disc? Or why not use some old vinyl, im sure you could find some cool old single's @ a 2nd hand record shop, they would be about the right size too! What software are you going to control? LO
