  1. As far as the tag goes; take everyone's suggestions and make them pop up at random on page loads. I like "made by you" myself. I'm sticking to the old layout myself. One of the things I've always liked about this forum is that it's not over-run with graphical bling. Just the facts, ma'am
  2. There would be no end of prior art challenges to that, if patent law worked in a vaguely sane way. Here, he's put up hacking directions, and the bus pinout http://benheck.com/10-14-2008/how-to-mod-my-access-controller
  3. It doesn't necessarily mean the end of their product line though
  4. I'm still laughing at the message on the LCD :D
  5. Hello from sunny Coburg North :) DS and Tandy are relatively useless. Jaycar is infinitely better. However for most MIDIBox related stuff, your best bet is to order the complete kits from Smash TV
  6. The numbered channel buttons are from a Macintosh ADB keyboard, right? God I'm such a nerd
  7. Jurbo: what happens if you feed a 6581 into a 8580 and back around again?
  8. For more information about the Roland CMU-800R and how it can be MIDIfied, see my thread here.
  9. There was another thread about the SNES APU a while back. ^-- "SEARCH" and ye will find ;D
  10. Just thought I'd mention that OpenCores have built something very similar to this proposed distro, for working on FPGA-based System On Chip (SoC) designs. OPENCORES: OpenRISC VMWare image
  11. Oh man, I didn't realise it was a kit. Freaking ripoff!!
  12. TR lovin in the house. My 707 gets fed through a -lot- of effects, and also is the trigger sequencer for my Simmons SDS-8
  13. Yeah I noticed those too. Good luck to him. I won't be buying, but then I have more time than I do money. For someone who has less time, and more money, is it really that bad a deal?
  14. And they've arrived. I'll pop the lid and share some piccies for comparison.
  15. Thanks. He's got a bunch of other interesting stuff there I see.
  16. The Google, she is fruitful :D Sound On Sound - interview/article MySpace Well, he's an Aussie, stryd, and working with Darren Hayes amongst others, so I'd say it won't be too long till we get so hear his work Down Undah.
  17. Stryd, you know I love ya, but you're being a dick, mate. If I can dig through my back copies of Viz, there's a Ravey Davey Gravey cartoon that answers this exact question :D
  18. The level of misogyny in this thread is a big clue as to why there aren't any (until I stand corrected) women in this forum >:( Hmmm, shoes or gear, shoes or gear .... the eternal question. I know! I'll buy a tube of shoe glue and DIY some gear! Myself: I love on disability support in an illegally converted industrial building and I still know I'm richer than 90% of the world's population. Most weeks I don't have to worry about where the food's coming from - living in a large share house helps with that - and I can get out and see bands, go to the movies, have a beer every now and then (yay Aussie wine industry glut! $2 shiraz cleanskins at Dan Murphy's FTW). Sure, it'd be great to walk into a big-buck music emporium/hardware store/electronics supply house and say "Mmmm, one of those, one of thoooose, three of them...". It'd be nice to get my truck back on the road some time this century. But complain? Pfffff. I AM rich. So are all of us who can even afford a computer to get on this forum.
  19. Oh noes!! The page has disappeared. Here's the archive copy
  20. You might want to have a look at what I just posted in The Official Ebay Thread
  21. And some Behringer style fake valves :D
