  1. MB64 doesn't run on those PICs. It'll definitely be a lot of custom work, give up avoiding it ;)
  2. Wicked. Bring on the SID alarm clock! :)
  3. That's gotta be the prettiest DIY PCB I ever saw. I have the James Bond 'Goldfinger' theme song in my head for some reason :)
  4. I'm guessing W didn't do it, because he has other plans for the bottom lines. Yes, it's just a matter of manipulating the addressing.
  5. Uhm I just thought ahhh..... MB16e, is that even a MIOS app? Where did you download it, I can't find it hahah
  6. Levon did you forget something? ;) BAAAHAHAHHAahahahahah!!!
  7. They are rather nice aren't they? I'll be waiting for pricing ;)
  8. Ahahahahah more new features ;D ;D ;D You can't help yourself can you TK? :D
  9. There are digital ones (grid of switches), but they're very rarely seen.
  10. Yes but as TK said, the internal multipliers are not synced, so there's no point in doing this. This is a different kind of thing to the digital audio clocks you mentioned. There may be very small differences in frequency or shifts in phase, but they will certainly not be in the audible range (not by several orders of magnitude)> Don't worry about the xtals they're fine :)
  11. Have you tried the SR interconnection test app?
  12. Congratulations! Maybe you could attach some pics here and travel over to midibox of the week :)
  13. What kind of PIC are you using? It's failing at the 64k limit as though there's no 4685 there...
  14. If you use FireFox I would recommend CoLT and especially BBCodeXtra, they will help you manipulate the forum tags with ease, so you can break up the quotes :)
  15. Well there are two options for storing it onsite : a) Attach it to the forum post, and link to that from the wiki b) email it to "MBWiki" d0t "Upload" 8 "gmail" dawt com and I will upload it to the wiki for you :) Edit: antispammed that addy. Damn bots.
  16. Ahh that's the beauty of a wiki - all the old versions of the pages are saved, so if you do something wrong, you (or anyone else) can roll it back in two clicks :) Edit the wiki without fear :D

    Reaper2

That's just weird. Sorry man I don't have a suitable PC to try it on :(
  18. Well it really is! - the HD44780 standard only allows for 80 characters, so a 4x40 actually has two separate HD44780 driver IC's on it, with two separate sets of data and enable and clock lines. On the board, these are all combined into one connection, with the exception of the 2nd enable line :) Nice one, yes please!! :D

I would do a bit of both. No point losing amplitude unnecessarily then amping it up again. There's some formula for getting the R's right, but you could probably just as easily tie 10k pots to each, and feed full volume through all them and turn them up until a bit of headroom before clipping. Round down to the nearest value to be safe... sweet. Every time someone talks about protecting the IO I can't help but think "what are you guys plugging these in to?" hehehe
  20. Yeh, send them ALL to MEEEEE. I will share them out to all the 'burn crew. Honest. No, really I will! I wouldn't keep them all for myself! What? Don't look at me like that! ;D
  21. PS2 devices won't work with MB64 because MIOS doesn't support PS2. You could write a driver (I have the beginnings of one here if you want) but it would be too big to fit on MB64, you'd have to write a custom app too.....
  22. I'm going to give you a chance to set me straight, I hope it's some kind of miscommunication, but that sounds particularly like you're F***ing with me?
  23. Welcome aboard Colin :) I don't mean to bash you on your first post, but maybe you should read a bit before posting: If not reading all the necessary pages (which I would highly recommend/strongly encourage!) At least read this whole thread first ;)
  24. Eww really? I hate those things. If you get a crap one they are not as strong... And the threads are all different sizes from one brand to another, and if you lose the screws, you're, well... screwed... Sorry couldn't help it ;D Edit: Topic split.
  25. The wiki likes it when people add nice stuff :) I'm sure I heard it purr when it got the boxes hehehe
