Witzbold! ;D Nee, hab ich schon gemacht. Hat auch zu einem gewissen Prozentsatz auch gefunzt, der war allerdings höchstens lächerlich (schwarz mit "hellschwarzen" Buchstaben...). Vielleicht war es bei mir die falsche Folie oder so (obwohl ich die von so einem Handyhändler bezogen habe). Nojo, probier du es auch mal aus, würde mich freuen, wenn das funzt. PS: Ich bin mir gar nicht so sicher, ob der Programmieraufwand für eine implementierte Invertierung so hoch ist. Du müßtest auf jedes einzelne Bit lediglich + 1 addieren. Bspl: Rm1X von Yamaha (hat genau das!).

:-/ Invertierfolie war auch mein *allererster* Gedanke. Hat aber einfach gar nicht hinhauen wollen. Mehrere Möglichkeiten: Falsche Folie oder funzt nicht oder ich bin zu blöd gewesen (*sehr* viel wahrscheinlicher) ;) Nur so als Anmerkung, kann vielleicht nochmal jemand anderes verifizieren.

The shafts are 6mm diameter and preeeeetty long (no idea what exactly). Certainly 40 mm or more. You *always* have to cut them down to make them fit. Hi! For the pots: Either ebay (like always) - chance to get trashy pots or reichelt.de (Germany), they also send to the UK over a limit order (like 50 Euros or so). The Pots @ Reichelt are 270° and so should really be that what you´re looking for. They´re are not to smooth, which I think is good, because you won´t move them accidentally. Here are some order numbers: P6M-LIN 10K for 6mm axis 0.53/piece P4M-LIN 10K for 4mm axis - I don´t recommend those (to loose) P6S-LIN 10K for stereo pot (normally not needed) P6M-LOG 10K for logarithmic pot (also normally not needed here) You still do need some knobs for those! :o Du hast da a weng a falsche Vorstellung. Nix für ungut. Aaaaaalso: Musst du dir folgendermaßen vorstellen: Auf einem Midikanal laufen (im Allgemeinen) alle Infos durch, die du zum Betreiben eines Instruments benötigst (Note on/off, Velocity, Cutoff, Controller ... ... ...). Also könntest du *theoretisch* 16 Instrumente an einem MIDI Out betreiben (macht kein Arsch - gibt Timingprobleme und anderes), real sind aber locker bis zu vier drin. Der Witz ist jetzt, sobald du etwas empfängst (auf MIDI In), kommt es darauf an, was du anschließend damit anstellst. Angenommen du benutzt das Signal in einem Sequenzer wie Cubase. Dann kommt das Signal an und wird von Cubase automatisch auf das aktive Instrument umgeleitet. Dann ist es relativ egal, auf welchem Midikanal die Info ankommt, sie wird automatisch umgeleitet. Angenommen, du forwardest (d.h. leitest weiter) den kompletten Midi In auf einen anderen oder mehrere Midi Outs (bei deinem Midi Int. z.B.). Dann kannst du per Midikanal an deinem Controller direkt das kontrollierte Instrument anwählen. D.h.: Die MB64 bzw. dein Controller kann *alle* Midikanäle ansteuern, so wie du willst. Du kannst alle Potis auf Kanal 0 senden oder sie aufteilen z.B. Poti 1-16 auf Kanal 0, 17-32 auf Kanal 1 usw. und so mehrere Instrumente an einer "Schalttafel" - der MB64 - verwalten. Andererseits (Cubase - Beispiel von vorhin) kannst du auch ein allgemeines Layer erstellen (z.B. Cutoff, ADSR ...), mit denen du *immer* den gleichen Controller ansteuerst. Über Cubase schaltest du dann auf das jeweilige Instrument um, daß du gerade ansteuern möchtest. Die Daten der MB64 werden dann automatisch an den gewünschten Empfänger weitergeleitet. JAU, soviel dazu. Hoffe ich hab alles *einigermaßen* verständlich machen können. Falls ich irgendwas verplant hab, bitte mich korrigieren. ;D Ich kenn mich... Gruß pay.c!

Also den Post von dir hab ich nicht gelesen... ??? Egal... jau, mit Plastikrahmen ist nicht schlecht. Ein paar Gründe: 1. Ist dann die Anbringung an eine Frontplatte einfacher (man spannt den Plastikrahmen und nicht das LCD selbst - das ziemlich easy dabei brechen könnte) und 2. die Beleuchtung ist nicht integriert, aber die Umlenkung für eine externe Beleuchtung. Normalerweise müsstest du von der Seite reinleuchten -> wird inhomogen und schaut ... aus. Mit dem Rahmen kannst du von unten / seitlich reinleuchten, der Rahmen verteilt das Licht dann über den gesamten LCD -> mehr Farben möglich (mehr Platz), sehr viel homogener. Weiß ich, weil TK seinen Testdisplay von mir bekommen hat. ;D *freu*

But as you used the PSU of TK, that should not be it. So: Recheck your current what goes in there (total into the master core). And if it´s constant or changing. The 78xx can cause some changing voltage if it´s on high currents. But that´s just minor probs. It runs it runs!!! YEAH! Greetz & Congrats!!

Das sind Pullups. Die ziehen den Ausgang auf + 5V, wenn die Taster nicht gedrückt sind (die Taster ziehen den Eingang ja auf Masse, wenn gedrückt). Wenn du die nicht drinnen hast, meint das DIN, daß alles immer auf Masse ist -> das alle Taster immer gedrückt sind -> nix spielt verrückt, aber nix funzt... ;)

Absolutely confirming with your opinion. Those magazine tests are sometimes so far away from reality (especially when they´re testing uninteresting stuff like the weight to power ratio or similar) you can think of being in some "Startrek" movie. I have the Behringer 2031. The sound is really cool, they´re very linear (a measured frequency spectrum is delivered with every single box) and the price to "what you get" ratio is just great!! For near-field monitors the power is, in my eyes, just on the right level. More power would result in some diseases in some years I think. ;D You can also adapt the boxes to your room in some range, there are cutoffs for bass (0, -3, -6 dB for wide field down to corner) and heights. But you don´t need those normally. And there´s a option to bring in a subwoofer later for frequencies below 20 Hz, but that´s also not really needed (which car hifi goes below there? And even if - that´s sub hearing stuff - only for very special stuff). The rest is standard stuff: Included limiter so you don´t fry them, bass cutter and height cutter (for debugging stuff), XLR & Headjack. Minus point: I have them now 3/4 year and one of them got problems, so I had to send it in. That´s not very cool, I hope it´s not a big or even repeating problem. So: I´m really convenient with them in overall. These are boxes for lifetime. *If* they hold that long, and the first one got a prob after 3/4 a year. /modify: Well, perhaps we should really open up such a thread, or not?

Öööööhm, bin mir nicht 100 % sicher was du meinst, aber: Der Box / der Software ist es völlig egal, woher das Signal stammt. Sie reagiert nur auf MIDI (ob nun MIDI-Int, MIDI-Recorder oder ob du die Bits per Taster selber generierst ;) ). Im MIDI-Protokoll sind im Normalfall keine Nachrichten enthalten, die sich auf den Nachrichtenweg beziehen. So ist ein bspw. Sysex-String praktisch nur eine Nachricht bestehend aus: SysexAnfangBefehl-MassenanBytes(unbekannter Zweck für das MIDI - Protokoll)-SysexEndeBefehl Von daher ist das der Software und der Box Wurst, solange MIDI vorhanden ist, funzt alles. Einziges (gelegentliches) Prob: Joystickports machen ab und an Probleme, da Sie kein allzu sauberes Signal senden. Kommt aber eher in Einzelfällen vor, normalerweise paßt alles.

Sorry to say this, but I do not have the slightest idea... One of my monitor boxes is in repair at the moment. It started making weird sounds @ 340 Hz (was like something loosening or so). It´s away for two weeks now and I have no clue when it will come back. So: At the mmt I´m mixing in mono (real hell) - stereo imaging? Errrrrr... yupp.... whatever...;) And doing that over headphones is not the same result... especially when it comes to stereo imaging stuff. But I´ll tell you as soon as my second box is here again.

Ok, tried it out yesterday. The Voxciter is not so great, I think. It´s sound is very harsh and far away from being subtle. Very grandly changing your whole song... The Ozone... *O* *M* *G* :o Really one of the best plugins I ever used. Everything is very easy controllable (real good GUI). Your changes are saved as Presets, the sound changes start at reaaaaaally subtle (you don´t hear anything changing) to absolute brutal (so a *VERY* interesting FX plugin, too! E.g. the radio voice generator is sooooo coool and much more than only some EQing). And: ALL you need for mastering, *ALL* in one plugin. Only minuspoint: The CPU usage is heavy! Especially if you turn on all modules (like Sephult already stated them). But as it´s main-intend is mastering stuff, that´s not a heavy minus, just a slight one. Very very good plugin, I also do it recommend it to everybody here! If not used for mastering, it still can make some rumbling FXs! Greetz & Thnx to all! ;D

;D ;D ;D Ich benutz zum Belichten eine *Uralt* (im Sinne von *Uuuuuuralt*) Höhensonne. Der Filter ist schon lange hinüber, den hab ich einfach ausgebaut. Belichtungszeit liegt bei verschiedenen Resists so zwischen 90 sek (Bungard) und 150 sek (selbst mit Positiv 20). Funzt 1A. Und ist billigst! Bspw. auf dem Recyclinghof um die Ecke mal nachgucken (sobald die Filter den Geist aufgeben schmeißen die meisten Leute die Höhensonne weg).

If u use that x/y data for pitch/velocity you have to think of following: velocity is divided in 128 steps -> resolution is no prob. pitch (!!) is divided in (I think) 2^14 steps (maybe 2^15? Dammit, that´s so long ago I read that... ! ;) ). An encoder provides about 24 steps per *whole* revolution, so you would have to turn it f*****g often to get the whole range of the pitch... there are high res encoders available, but they´re *REALLY* expensive! Normal pots/sliders are better for something like this (think of pitch wheels in good keyboards -> there are pots under there!). Also the x/y mechanics would be a bit easier with sliders. DIN/DOUT is needed e.g. for bank changing, menu controlling of the Midibox software, snapshooting etc. You also could think of Octave up/down knobs, portamento knobs (OK, a little different to a guitar... :) ) and so on. So you *can* build it without DIN/DOUT but I wouldn´t recommend it. Would just be more flexible. Greetz & good luck!

Jupp, bei der "Positiv 20"er Geschichte kann ich mich nur anschließen! Sehr gutes Zeug!! Man braucht absolut keine Massen davon versprühen, ein sehr dünner Film reicht schon aus (deshalb auch die hohe Gefahr von Staub). 1A Zeugs. Allerdings auf jeden Fall lange trocknen lassen (bzw. bei höherer Temperatur) - mindestens 24 h - ansonsten löst der Entwickler den gesamten Lack lockerst ab (innerhalb von ein paar Sekunden). Bestellen! Lohnt sich! Und die kleine Dose reicht für vergleichsweise MASSEN an Platinen, wenn nicht verschwenderisch verwendet. Hab immer noch die Erste.

I already got the document for that Ozone and the plugin itself will be tested the next time. The document already is getting me excited - *damn* there are so many cewl features. You won´t find the most of them even in specialized plugins. Really good-looking up to now. Back to that "Excite it, dont excite it, that´s the question" topic. Do not understand me wrong, I also *do* hate songs where the Exciter is nearly killing your ears and every other CD is sounding dull. Putting the Exciter to much up can kill *every* character of your song completely! But anyhow if you use it very gently and approach from the lowest Levels it can give your song some very good highlights. I think the Exciter is best used in a way that you nearly don´t hear it anymore. So in this point I think I agree with Sephult. *Feedback to Ozone & Voxciter still on the way*

If I understand you right, that plate will be getting both x- and y-Data, meaning horizontal and vertical movement. That´s kinda hard to do... either you use two pots (similar to a joystick) or some sliders one on the other. I don´t see any good possibility to implement encoders there... unless you only let move it in one direction and the other parameter is implemented by rotating the enc (I´m talking about a moveable Encoder). MIOS (the software behind Midibox) does allow combinations of Pots and Encs (not endless and endless) and even Motorfaders. Because of that note stuff: Doable is everything, but it will be some kinda of programming stuff and I don´t know how much you´re in there. If you know what you´re doing it shouldn´t be to much of a prob, especially with MIOS, if not it´s gonna be tricky... One core and one AIN (for Pots/Sliders), one or more DINs (for Encs and Buttons) and some DOUTs (for LEDs and stuff - to see what you´re doing). That should be enough. Greetz!
