  7. Yes, I am. Everything you need except for the DIN/DOUT modules is on the base pcb. That includes the modules (core, opl3 and 5x bankstick), sockets (midi i/o, 2x stereo audio out, ac/dc in) and power switch. Also, it's sammichFM (note the capitalization).
  8. That's the backlight trimpot, which determines the amount of current for the LCD backglight. By checking out the manufacturers website? http://www.crystalfontz.com/product/CFAH2004ARGHJP. General specs, 3rd line. I'd suggest removing the CS for now. Tackle one problem at a time. First of all, I'd fix the LCD. Rererererecheck the wiring. You might wanna check out for that.
  9. What MIDI messages do you get? There's a chance they're not coming from the AIN - the ain64_din128_dout128_v2c should help finding out. Do you happen to have drawn up a wiring diagram, so it's easier for us to follow how you've wired what? Yes.
  10. To rule out everything but the SIDs, try switching a pair with the "non-faulty" ones. If the problem moves with the SIDs you at least know it's SID-related.
  11. Nice video, Smithy  I hope you will fix the last small booboos so you can close the box and call it a decade
  12. Double posted self-irony :ike:

  14. What you do is still unsolicited advertisment. The least you can do is take the jokes fired at you for that  Just as you could have posted in the right section of the forum instead of making me have to move your ad.
  15. Anything below 100ish would result in a price bump, which I'd like to avoid, so 100-150.
  16. It's alive but on hold for this year - been busy busy and am basically out of boards anyways. Keep signing up, I'll have new boards made when there's enough preorders (as usual).
  17. I couldn't agree more
  18. loves sammichFM. So do you.

  19. Like I said in your other thread, the schems are on ucapps.de. Since that apparently doesn't do here's some direct links  http://ucapps.de/mbhp/mbhp_core_v3.pdf http://ucapps.de/mbhp/mbhp_sid_v3.pdf The only thing relevant to the filters (assuming everything else works) are the two filter caps per SID. If a) everything else is working correctly, and b) the correct filter caps are placed correctly, the only possible issue left is your SIDs.
  20. Correct Caps correctly placed?

  22. If you're good at coding, I am fairly sure you could get all that functionality out of a single core32. You seem to have a general misconception about what happens if you don't though - using multiple cores to make the whole thing easier doesn't mean it'll be "separate boxes". In your PC, there's a whole bunch of processors, and you don't think of it as different units, do you? Once boxed up, the cores can act as a single system. I am simply suggesting that cause it'll make the programming so much easier if you can split the different tasks that you want done across different processors.
  23. Yes, you'd simply chain more shift registers. I am pretty sure I wouldn't wanna go with the LC though. You can technically use the mbCV w/o an LCD. For instance by adding lotsa buttons and LEDs (which means more coding) or not changing the parameters a lot.
  24. I like it. Really. There's a few things you need to consider imo: A) Cost. This is gonna be pretty damn pricey. B) Component spacing - partially the components seem closer together than physically possible (faders), some seem to close to use (pots). A printout helps - put the knobs you wanna use on the printout and pretend to be working with them :) C) Single-Core. Since you need a custom app anyways, I would probably not worry about making it all run on a single core. D) Arrangement of components. Typically people prefer to play keyboards with the right hand. That's why I think the keyboard should be the right-most thing.
