  5. Google "identify resistor" -> first hit = http://avishowtech.com/mbhp/res.html Yay :)
  6. 12.46V is well within spec (it's only 4% off), 1.33A is enough as well.
  7. STATUS 25/35 confirmed the order numbers [/code]
  8. The current rating is also relevant, please tell us that as well. Are you using a cable with a stereo jack? With all the sid type switching make sure you don't accidentally forget to correct the jumpers every time you do it, or you'll end up feeding a 6582 with 12V...
  9. Hiya *, this is to inform everyone on the gm5x5x5 preorder list that bulk order #3 is happening now. :frantics: The order is hereby closed since there are only as many gm5 chips left as are preordered at the moment. If you fail to reply to your PMs or do not pay on time you will lose your spot to some happy fellow midiboxer. If you are not on the list right now and hope to be one of the happy fellows, post "I wanna be a happy fella" in this thread - do not PM me or put yourself down in the list on the WIKI. As for the bad news - since the order quantity is well below the last orders there will possibly have to be a price increase of around ~1-2 EUR per PCB. As usual some people signed up with names that are different from the user accounts. Those are: smrl Handgemacht seug funkyflashfive If you are one of those, send me a PM right now or you'll drop off the list. nILS
  10. That schematic seems like a 2-bit DAC/VCO with an output buffer to me, but then again I dunno anything about that kinda stuff. The inverter + RC is basically an oscillator... If you wanna give it a spin here's a simulation of it.
  11. You won't be adding the filters to the mb6582 but you'll have those in an external box. So it seems more reasonable to me to keep the mb6582 as a standalone device with headphone out ;)
  12. I have never owned a multimeter that cost more than 12eur. All of them beeped. All of them measured up to 2MOhms. All of them worked until I lost them :)
  13. I was under the impression you'd want to fit the headphone amp in the mb6582 itself, in which case a second PSU would be somwhere between suboptimal and stupid.
  14. When I said don't edit your posts, I meant not to remove the entire problem description from the original post. It's ok and prefered to append your last post if noone's answered yet. So you can upload any app except for the midiboxSID v2 app? If so, that still sounds like a CAn bus related problem. a) the sid module should NOT be connected atm b) upload a different mbSID v2 app (for instance the 6581 hex) c) take and show a decent picture of your can bus parts
  15. What MIOS version and what mbSID app version did you upload to what pic (exact file names and pic version please)? Also, please don't edit your original posts. It may help others who find the topic later on. "...and all those exclamation marks, you notice? Five? A sure sign of someone who wears his underpants on his head." - Terry Pratchett
  16. That's why you'd use a virtual ground (the resistor version will do). +9V becomes your V+, Gnd becomes your V- and the "virtual ground" between the Rs is your new ground.
  17. Yes, you can do that with the mb6582 supply (or any other power rail for that matter).
  18. http://midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=mios The bootloader only speaks to you via repeated upload requests.
  19. That would be my suggestion as well - stick a few LEDs into the CS pcb (w/o soldering them) and some resistors in the base board (w/o soldering them) and see what you like best. Then imagine you have more than 1 or 2 liit at the same time ;)
  20. I can highly recommend the CMOY Headphone Amp. If you feed the output of the sids to various pieces of equipment an extra buffer can never hurt :)
  21. A diode will do that. The only thing I can think of at this point is that there's absolutely no load and the vregs don't like that. You can temporarily add a load by using a 1k resistor across J20 or J2 (which will draw 9/5mA).
  22. Black/White ftw - prettiest knobs ever.

    core will nicht

"Creative SB Extigy Midi synth" ist der aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach der interne MIDI Synth der Karte. gm5 chip liegt bei 4,50eur wenn ich mich nicht irre, die kleine Platine kostet auch irgendwo um den Dreh rum, das gm5x5x5 wird wohl wieder bei 8eur liegen.
  24. That was in and the site is http://say.expressivo.com/eric/

Kauf was anständiges. Zum Beispiel ein gm5.
