  1. Cimooooooooooooo! Happy new year, little man! :frantics: ...and drop by the chat some time, we miss you! :console:
  2. Twin-X
  3. Some pictures of your soldering (decent res, non-blurry) might help us identify the problem. Also try to run the test app and see if that sheds any light on the problem. Problems that occur after the sammichSID running a while are often related to the PSU - what PSU (Voltage/Current rating) are you using?
  4. Have fun :frantics:
  5. ...and by 2x40 he means 4x20...
  6. I am confused as well. The plugin that you want to control has like, what, 15 parameters? A midibox with 120+ faders is gonna be really big, really expensive and really hard to build. Maybe you can sketch something up, so we get a rough idea about what you actually want to build?
  7. http://www.pollin.de has cheap rackmount cases as well. Depending on how you plan to use it, I would probably go with a 2U design and a Step B CS and control most stuff via MIDI. That really depends on how much control you want in hardware though - some more info on that might help :)
  8. ...now be a good father to them
  9. A bankstick is removable. So you can put them into whatever-kinda case you want. Like a 3 1/2" floppy disk. With the SMD version of the 24LC512 that's definitely doable :) Real floppy disk: Short answer: Neh. Long answer: Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeh. Unless you spend a substantial amount of time on writing a driver and fixing the hardware and more programming and yadda yadda.
  10. Put your name on the list on the WIKI and wait :flowers:
  11. MIOS cannot be cloned. However the only thing that changed between the last MIOS versions (iirc) was the encoder handling, so it's not really an issue if you don't update the slave cores.
  12. Yes, proper wiring of the DINs and DOUTs (and +5V/Gnd) is all it takes. Correct, as that is the only one with the correct DIN/DOUT assignments. DINx5 and DOUTx3 (notice the additional transistors to drive the LEDs).
  13. You're doing it right ;) If you get a few orders together make sure to ask Smash if the stuff you want is stocked [before ordering] and (if it's a lot of stuff) give him a warning early on ;)
  14. Olimex has a fairly cheap proto board service as well. If you wanna fit the entire thing in an mb6582 you probably want to look into making an all-smd version.
  15. * A wallwart doesn't add any noise if it's not a switchmode supply. * If you can't find a decent case (Pactec PT-8 should work, as well as the aluminium profile style case I used for fnpSID) go the sammichSID route and have one made @ ponoko * You will have a hard time making sth as small as sammichSID without a custom PCB as you need core8, DINx4, DOUTx4, bankstick, PSU and 2 SID modules in there.
  16. The connection is described in \modules\sid\sic.c
  17. Very nice work! Congratulations! :frantics:
  18. Oh get over yourself, will ya? Sorry for trying to help, I won't bother you with further help anymore.
  19. Aww, come on big fella. :console: What the fuck did you expect? A step by step detailled instruction with pretty pictures or maybe an in-depth guide on how to read a manual? I was telling you precisely where to find what you are looking for. If you don't how to navigate the menustructure, you obviously haven't read the manual, where that is described. All you gotta do is read.
  20. Those pigeons are actually trained killer pigeons - careful what you say next.
  21. No, but I own a few. After all you gotta keep all the unfinished projects somewhere, eh?
  22. I had them imported as well. And the blur around the roller is just its awesomeness-energy-field which distorts reality.
  23. Read the manual. You use the oscillator page. Just select the oscillator(s) you wanna change (1st menu item) and then... change stuff.
  24. Pft, your tiny little tape roller's got nothing on mine. Here's a pic of when I got mine delivered:
  25. How about calling something like gif2png from the script?
