Yes, some of your questions. Keep reading. ;)
-
Hey Wise, thanks for quick reaction. Boards looks very good. But, what kind of headers are you using? Never seen those. :-[ Also, what is that polarized capacitor meant for?
-
Friendly advice Hey Djo, wellcome to the forum. You better start some reading than asking those kind of questions, as you will probably be ignored or asked to read the documentation.

Come on man, I forgot that this project was rolling at all. I expect it to be done really good. As wise man say... girls mostly come and go, but midibox stays. :D It is hard, but necessery to make a good balance between girls and gears. ;) Awaiting for some pics... Thanks in advance

I forgot how your box looked without that big knob, but now is even hard to imagine. Very, nice detail! Very good work. Congratulations again. ADDON... I just realised now you said deodorant stick...! You are my man. Not much of us here recycling... I guess it took some effort to convert that cap into knob, but it really worth it! Bravo, my recycling friend. ;)

I am using Ableton Clips to send program change before clip send notes, but V1 didn`t act quilck enough for gapless play. Is the same delay present on V2 or is this solved because of the new PIC?

I would like to have 130 of these ice cubes, please.

Thanks David. I cannot say that achievement is bigger, as I did it right even first time. You forgot I sacrificed sequencers sides to make new one that is ruined because of the carpenter. I still want to make Endorphin/Sequoia pair...
-
... like Endorphin for instance. ;)

Thanks Mick. Yeah, wood and metal goes very well together. It makes it looks vintage, but also classy on modern gear. Good old recipe. It will stay that way for a long time, I`m sure. Oh man, I been playing jigsaw miself for a months... and I didn`t stopped until I was completely satisfied. I really hate designng stage as much I enjoj building it. I planned and drawn 99% of Endorphin, but that 1% makes my life miserable once the 99% is finished. I was very impatient to start building it that I said one day... enough, can`t wait any longer. I called my laserman I gone cutting acrylic. I have so much luck to find good solution how to add jacks in that tight space between 1st and 2nd sub-panel. My first midibox was well planned outside, but inside was pure improvisation. I hope next project I will design it 100% so building it would be pure pleasure. I`m glad I inspired you. I`ve been inspired, and wanted to make angled desktop synth like Virus, but final result was brick that looks more like Artesia`s beautiful sequencer.
-
While I was googling for images of this synthesizer I found this great rack mount solution. So simple, and very useful it the synth is bit low in s rack. Maybe it is nothing new but to me it is.
-
probably something close to the one published at the first page, but as the main panel face isn`t gray, I might change it at the end. No, it isn`t mounted yet. I forgot. ;D Let me have it closed for some time, man. I`ll open it again later. I looked it naked long enough.
-
...just like SID. :)
-
I am verifying it. But, you must change the main.asm for unmuxed analog inputs and recompile the code, of course.
-
I better remind you where we are by publishing few recent pix of my project. ...Endorphin, remember? ;D
-
You are not crazy, you know... Reactable. So you thought, if Bjork is using it for live, you must use it too :) I also vanted to make one from the time I saw it, but projectors are still pretty expensive. :(
-
No, I couldn`t managed to come over. ;D ;D Which one, custom Voyager or some other Moog? I`ll definitely try to find some pix or video. Gimme some link if you` ve got.
-
Thanks for the link. But I would never browse their site without pictures, and I would never buy this knob looking at the PDF if I didnt see how it looks on your 9090. What disaster is to have such a big store without pix.. I really dont understand them. ??? Not all potential buyers have their catalog in front of them.

Mike, isnt pine too soft for "The Other Project" when some serious overstrain are involved? ;D So, you are faking, so cheap pine looks like some more quality/expensive woods. you... ;D I like pine in the cases when some lightweight construction is needed, but as I used it alot in past and always dreaming of some hard exotic woods, I refuse to use it for serious stuff nowdays, especially when quality is top priority, like for Endorphin. I also used Sadolin from time to time. Good look, good protection... Inspired by planes? :) I was inspired by car speedometer from early childhood. Very usefull for gigs in the dark. Moog did it quite well for Voyager. ...I like Voyager but if I have got it, I would definitely change blue illumination for any other colour.
-
Altitude, thank you for your answers. When I read this post, I still dont feel confident enough to try lasertran myself. The result is really good, but hole process is very delicate and maybe not worth a bargain for some of us. I dont know how much you payed in total for all needed, but some 2 PVC colour screen print maybe could be done for not too much more money. I worked in screen printing industry, and maybe that is the reason it sounds to me as much easier and simpler method than lasertran. PS. Am I blind or you cannot see the pictures of articles in mouser? Did you bought your knobs online?
-
I like the ice, and looking forvard to see some dimensions and maybe few more angles to see how it can be illuminated. Seamed that little thing at side is for pushing the button, and LED is placed at the bottom. Or maybe, other way around. Thanks for the pic.

FxxK! What a pro look. I`m totally down how that orange knob`s pointers are well paired to the the orange labels. :o So good. And the rack colour... It isn`t white? Looks just as 909 casing colour. Where did you get those knobs? Much respect!!!
-
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Hey Robert, what`s that ice bag doing there? ;D I must say that PK5/PK6 are best knobs if you need to pack many pots close to each other. I vas looking for some narrow knobs before but without any luck.Too bad cap colours are bit limited. some real red, green, blue and white would be preferable for any panel combination.

Hoya welcome to the forum. I like your design. Pretty clean. I see you get inspired by Allan & Heath Xone3D, right? I never saw so much jogs on one unit. How do you switch Deck A+C search from A to C? I would also go with separate cores. So many wires would be very unpractical to run at the back, especially if you want your "decks" separate from the mixer, or you maybe could run wires trough the mixer, so it will just look separated and it would be actually screwed to the mixer. As stryd already said, check the Robert`s Traktorizer for some inspiration. I`m sure he will be very soon around with his new version, and some really cool improvements. ;) Stay tuned.
