I`m sure clay didge sounds great. Labyridoo is made of some fine wooden powder mixed with glue. Don`t know the english word. Annyway, it is not hard enough to make the characteristic sharp sound so I trie to harden it aplying several layers of laqueer. About circular breathing... newer learned it. I did tried few times but seams pretty difficult. I live far from the aborigins and other didge playing people so I tried to learn circular breathing by reading the instructions online. Kris, you mention there are few techniques for C.B. Could you direct me to some good webpages? Here is the picture of my beloved real, well not eucaliptus but bamboo yirdaki, wich sounds great, except it stop playing when I left out of breath. Good is that I have quite big lung capacity. I painted it black and tried to paint some aboriginal style dot art.

Me too for my future proyect, after I saw how you did it. ;) Great job Kris! Tool case is great, but I need to put in it so meny things now so it is not big enough. Pooreman`s laptop haven`t got controller integrated. Really no space left.

Yesterday I done some reading of Ableton Live`s 6 tutorial. I found that Mackie have got encoders with buttons which have important functions depending of how meny times is pressed. 1. I wonder how is this done in LC emulation? Is there anny substitution for that? 2. if I specify I am using only 4 motofaders for tracks 1-4, will pressing flip function flip it to faders 5-8 or 8-16 as Mackie Controll do? 3. Is there a way to chain MB64 to the LC emulation so they can use same MIDI I/O port or it is the same as I use LC extension? I would like to have some more dedicated controlls (pots) wich don`t have to deal with Mackie protocol.

Patstormont, your controller looks cool. I like those big retro knobs, but seams there is no enough room between them for one finger and should be enough for two if you are turning neighbouring knobs. That tool case is great, I used same kind of case to make pooreman`s laptop by integrating Dell bookshellf PC and 15" TFT.

Didge rocks!!! I made this didgeridoo in the box inspired by original didge. It is basically labyrinth in the box forming pipe. I call it Labyridoo Stryd, you`re aussie, right? Do you play one? ;) PS. Sorry for topic hihhjack, but it`s didge`s fault :)

QL! Pozdrav, Sasa

Simone, I learned you have test all you can before soldering. I am buying parts in big local store but one time they sold me few nonworking pushbutons. They felt OK, but make connection only if you press them really hard. I found that after I solder them onto PCB. So, no matter is it Conrad or some other reseller you can`t be sure parts are OK unless you test them. I don`t belive that case is for all electronics, but can be case for cheap pasive/mechanical parts.

I would recomend some from Knitter Switch http://www.knitter-switch.com/ I`ve got some samples from them and they have very nice touch responce and looks great. They have also illuminated ones. I am going to use the ones TK used for his SEQ but square shaped. You can find it in http://www.reichelt.de but seams they have only round ones at the moment. Avoid MEC pushbuttons. They look great but all their buttons are extremly stiff and very loud! Good luck.

Yesterday I stumbled upon this cool MIDI interface from CME. Nothing new but it has interface build in the plugs. Acording to their website this should be cheaper than other MIDI to USB interfaces. I sent email to the distributor and waiting for ansver for this great adition to my boxes. http://www.cme-pro.com/products-list/product-u2midi.html Check out their other products.

I would also used SMD LEDs at your place. I bought one for testing button illumination, and it is great. Mine is ultra bright with very wide illumination angle. Pretty expensive if you need much. I bought mine for about 0.60-0.70 EUR. Also, it is not so dificult to solder wires once you fix it using clip or something...

Here is the conrad in UK http://www.conrad-direct.co.uk/

No, you just need one SID, slave SIDs are optional.

You can see the artwork on the page 1 of this topic. ;) Do you have some pics of your panel?

I really like how you shaped the holes around the joysticks, but it would be better to use some other screws. Kep on building...

Maybe this website could help you find a proper sowtware for you and learn something more. http://www.vjcentral.com/

MIDIboxes of the Week (MBSID/MBFM/MBSEQ made by Artesia)
Sasha replied to TK.'s topic in MIDIbox of the Week
I think it is OK to ask that kind of question here. I don`t read all "work in progress" blog posts and everything about individual cosmetic variations... It wasn`t question about MIOS or application one could expect to find somewhere using search. As I get this should be the place for that kind of questions. Lots of people, when came to this forum for the first time go directly here, so they can see what other people have done, say something nice and ask about parts used to build it. You can check by yourself what is the search results for "artesia buttons" ;) -
MIDIboxes of the Week (MBSID/MBFM/MBSEQ made by Artesia)
Sasha replied to TK.'s topic in MIDIbox of the Week
Still one of the best looking boxes ever! Congratulations Artesia. Where are those illuminated buttons from on SEQ? How they feels? Noisy? -
Wilba, you tought about it pretty seriously. I think sub-categorising makes much more sense. ;)

You`re wellcome. Good luck with boxing ;)

Interesting box... :) I always like to see unconventional shaped gear. It`s more cool, but maybe less practical.
