  1. I can certainly see Droolmaster's point, in that he is a musician not an Electrical Engineer! However, I do think that you made a mistake buying the synth before firmly establishing wether you would have any support from the developers. Consider, would you expect Mackie to deal with every request for help from their thousands of customers? Hopefully you'll be able to get it going, though you may have to do some learning ;)
  2. Well i'm extremely impressed I have to say! If they could make it operate in real time...
  3. Check out this vid: Looks like a PIC, though could equally be an AVR or something. Above all else, the tune RULES!
  4. Does anybody else understand what the f**k this thread is all about??
  5. Hehe, sneaky yes ;) I hope that's not opening the floodgates in any way, I just thought that I'd mention my interest should there be any spares.
  6. xcellent work once again Wilba. You can put me down for a set if there are any spare, I guess I missed this order.
  7. Just curious really. Has anybody considered bending or modifying their MBFM synth to make it a little more raucous?? My thinking is that it would be somewhat easier to bend an instrument as you're building it than to modify an existing one. I'm particularly intersted to know if it's possible to swap over the digital data lines between the MSB and LSB, and wether that will alter the waveforms, but maintain the musical intervals. A lot of bent intstruments are little more than noise machines in my view, i'm always on the lookout for more musical sounding stuff. I'm also thinking that it may be possible to mess with the external DAC (downsampling?), something i'll have a look at later, I just wanted to float that out there.
  8. If , as I suspect, the C16 uses the original matrix that the VIC20 and C64 did (likely, given the different key layout to the plus/4), then yes. If however, it uses the modified matrix used in the C116 and Plus/4, then you'll need to modify the scanning matrix.
  9. Aye, i'm doing ok now. At least the police aren't knocking..... ::)
  10. Actually, I am quite interested in this. What VST was it designed to control?? How much are you looking for?
  11. Right, thanks for the kind words everyone. I sent the money transfer yesterday on the way out of the door for work, a 12 hour shift. Unfortunately, it required me to speak to an operator to confirm the transaction, and I couldn't get through before I left. When I got home at 11:30pm, the line was closed so I had to speak to them this evening after I got back from work. The money is at this moment winging its way to wherever it's going via Western Union. Sasha, I am sorry for the delay but I really do have a life which sometimes takes priority over the things that I want to do. The reply I posted last night was deleted because it was just another snap response to an aggressive tone in your previous post, and I didn't want to escalate the situation (as you have now). I had logged on to explain this situation, but after reading that I frankly couldn't be bothered. I wonder how you'd take that after a long day at work and a 50mph motorcycle crash? So yeah, I was low but i've been lower. If that's what you think I deserve, then thanks, i'll take that.
  12. ???
  13. First of all, my humblest apologies to all who have sent money to me. I did log on to the forum briefly, but I didn't have time to get into a serious explanation of where i've been, and why there's been this delay, so I figured i'd come back to you this weekend. I know how bad this looks, particularly to Sasha. If it was me on the other end of this ugly stick, i'd sure be nervous! I just want to assure you that your money is secure. In any event, there is no one reason i've been absent, more a combination of factors though chief amongst them being my utter lack of internet access for about ten days (BT-Vision = SHITE). I've also had some personal stuff to deal with that I don't really want to get into. Needless to say it should not have interfered with me delivering on my commitments. I'm a little embarrased that Ed (Goblinz?) managed to nip round here before I got my ass in gear to post this. I think it says a great deal about the type of people in this community that he would take the time to come see me to make sure everything's all right. Ermm, yeah I think that about covers it for the moment. I'll be back in a couple of hours if anybody wants to talk about anything, i'll get on the chat. Many thanks for all your patience
  14. ..
  15. Nice piece of work! How have you attached the keyboard??
  16. Beautiful job mate!
  17. Hey guys, just a quick note to let you all know that all the invoices are paid. Thanks for the quick payments guys.
  18. Impressive work. I think i'll add this to the 'To Do' list!
  19. This is really a question for TK I guess. Given that MBSID V2 supports a sequencer engine for Bass 'n' beats, would it be unreasonable to create a control surface to access the parameters more easily?? I was thinking that a small octave keyboard (as in TB-303) and a button matrix could be used to program loops pretty easily. In terms of the drum programming, I was thinking a matrix of 4x16 LED's could be used with 4 instrument buttons, and sixteen step buttons. Top that off with some encoders for Env, Cutoff etc... Now, would it be possible to achieve this with two SID's and a couple of cores?
  20. Now, I wouldn't go that far, I'm not exactly dealing with millions of transactions daily!! Not to mention the delays caused by my actually having a life to deal with!! Still, it's all looking good so far.
  21. All invoices have been sent as of today. As far as i'm concerned, that ends this group order.
  22. Any idea what part of the circuit the trannies are in??? It may be possible to sub them for something with higher hfe values to get it going. You could always swap them out later if they're not quite right (though I suspect a number of different NPN's could be used without much difference in the sound.
  23. Ah! Now that is indeed very sexy! In that case a simple Midibox controller could very easily substitute the expensive PG200.
  24. Seriously rocks TK! Loving the fact that my soon to be born MB6582 will be rocking 4xStereo 303 tracks at once!! Were those drums from the SID Engine???
  25. Does the JX Midi retrofit allow Sysex controls of parameters? As far as I understood, that was never implemented, but if it was that's great news! I'm getting one of the kits to allow PG and MIDI at the same time, if it transmits and recieves sysex too..... :>
