Sorry, I thought i'd sorted everybody out by now! I had a thirteen hour day yesterday, but ill try and get all invoices sent today.

Yep, 100% kudos to Altitude. He's worked very hard for us all, with bitching and moaning as his only reward. I personally am not totally happy with the panels, and yes they should have been done right, but they are cheaper than anything else I could have got, and look much better than a DIY ever would. If we wind up keeping them as they are, i'll not be terribly unhappy ;) So, thanks a bunch Alt!!!

Yeah, good to hear there's some left! I'm hoping to get some more if I can raise the cash....

Looks like some really nice work Narwhal! Not best pleased with the silkscreening though eh?? How about we get some sound samples up!!!
-
I'd say 60 is an AWFUL LOT! Personally, I'd wonder wether you got stiffed by the chip seller. However, I might be interested in a couple of chips with working oscs and broken filters.

I'm of the opinion that they should pay for all the panels to be re-shipped back, and a full refund given. They should then re-make the panels so we can check the quality, and maybe then we'll re-order them. If they're not willing to ship the panels back, they should replace them free of charge. I'm tired of messing about with this, they're obviously not interested in getting things right.

Ok, i'm closing the order and i'll get invoices sent out tonight.

I was with you all the way there Prof, until I got my knobs this morning, now my mild disappointment has increased somewhat. My panel was 'ok' when i got it, the holes all seem ok, some light scratches, but the silkscreening was a little splotchy and uneven. That I could live with, until I put the knobs on, then I was REALLY unhappy. The text is so mis-aligned it practically covers some complete legends. Now, I don't know about everybody else, but this isn't something I can easily just live with. Obviously I'm not keen on sending it back again, but if enough people are unhappy then I'd certainly consider it, given how much time and money is already invested in the project.

UK/Europe Bulk order of "Waldorf" knobs for the MB-6582 (CLOSED)
Jaicen replied to Goblinz's topic in Bulk Orders
Seconded, I got mine this morning. They're a lot smaller than I thought, thanks again! -
I've never heard of the PMA-5, I now have and I WANT ONE! I have got a QY-10, I got it for a really good price as it's near mint with original packing. It's a little fiddly to program, I kinda wish i'd gone for a QY-20. Still, as I say, I bought the 10 for about £20 intending to circuit bend, but it's too nice!

Is this the same guy that used to build the one-bit synth/sequencer things based on AVR chips or something?? Gotta say I really quite like the sounds on this album.
-
Got my panel this morning too, I was starting to get concerned that customs had intervened, but it's all good. Gotta say the quality of the silkscreening leaves a little to be desired, but I guess you get what you pay for.

I've got a PG200 and a JX3p which I love. I did at one point take it apart with a view to cloning the PG, however, it's quite a complex double sided board, so that's a non starter really. You can get kits to improve the MIDI specs of the JX3p, not sure if it enables Sysex command of the parameters, but perhaps that would be worth a look?

Yeah, I don't intend to build my x0x for a good while yet, I just want to get the parts while I can. Once i've got it all collected, I'll build it all in one go. One thing that does concern me though, doesn't the x0x have an Atmel controller and some SMT USB stuff?? I for one don't have an Atmel burner!

I'm not sure that will help. I think what did the damage this time was they recorded your return address on lots of orders coming in. When more arrived within a certain time, HMCE jumped on it and slapped huge Tax billls on them. I get the feeling everything coming in from J. Williams from now on will get the same treatment.

Is it just me, or do those solenoids sound pretty noisy on their own?? I'm pretty sure that the click would be audible ooperating on something like a xylophone. Maybe you could look for something hydraulic??

I got charged VAT on my second lot of SID's (not the first four and PCB though). They did get delivered though, so maybe I've got away with it??? It really grieves me to have to give them money on something like this, they have no right to it whatsoever, not least because it's a private sale. This is what has always bothered me about buyin the x0x kit too, i'd have to expect it to be taxed, same with stuff from Warmouth etc..

Wow, tasty looking stuff! I've been away all weekend so i've got back to a lot of thread reading! I've also been contacted by another two people wanting to get in on the bulk order, so maybe i'll send invoices this week, unless anyone has any objections??
-
Hey Wilba, I don't know if anybody else has experienced this, but I just received my last lot of SID's. They'd been delayed at customs, and i've been charged VAT (at least, I think I have! It say's it won't be delivered till VAT is payed, but i've got them now!). It's not a big deal really (£15), but it's a bit annoying. Just a heads up to any UK customers to take that into account.
-
The price is the one Sasha gave, which includes shipping within Europe. Can you actually buy the PCB's directly from Ladyada without being on the waiting list?
-
I know many of you may have already seen the thread in the Misc forum, but since there's a bulk order being arranged, I thought I'd post here to make sure nobody is left out. The PCB set themselves will cost 47euros. Bulk orders are also being arranged for the components and frontpanel, with final price dependant on how many get PCB's. If you want in, i'll be organising the bank transfer to Sasha (Paypal is not available in Serbia), so PM me that you're interested and include your paypal address if that's how you're paying. Any questions regarding the bulk order should be addressed in this thread. Any other questions to Sasha's thread.

Oh that is really sweet! I just GOTTA have more cowbell!!!
-
LoL! Actually that's not the one I was looking at, that was in the UK. Pretty much the same though. I'd be interested to see what you can do with that thing.
-
Dude, did you get this off ebay last week?? I was going to bid on it, but I was at work :( Still, glad it went to somebody that appreciates them. Are you planning to mod the analogue circuits to get more control?? That MIDI retrofit looks pretty tasty, even though I can't read the text!

WOOoohoooo...! EDIT: Now that i've calmed down a bit ;) First up, panel looks GREAT in red!! Secondly, now that we're back on, it's time to do things properly. My offer to collect payments still stands. I'd like to collect "I'm In's" for a little while, then when we've got enough people together i'll send requests for payments. Once they're in, I can forward the cash to Sasha. With christmas coming up, I suspect that it will be somewhat difficult to get a lot of people in after November, so how does November 30th sound for a deadline for payment?? If anybody was interested, I'd be willing to organise a parts kit to go with the PCB's, depending on how many people would like one. Basically, i'm thinking caps, resistors IC's and sockets, the regular stuff not the rare semi's. I don't have time to go searching for stuff like that! Anyway, that's it, think i've calmed down now.... ;)
