  2. I actually doubt that you'll be able to do something yourself without knowing the basics. Have a look in the wiki. You don't measure a resistance in KB, but in (K)Ohms ;)

had that too. interesting experience. you learn to respect electricity. Do you have just 110V or the hardcore-version 220V (like me) ? http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=6898.0 how did it happen?
  9. nice box! Is there a specific reason why there are some keys missing on your keboard?

    Ethernet I2C

no, but have you heard of that e-piano design study that uses WLAN instead of midi?
  12. THIS IS JUST F*CKING UNFAIR! >:( >:( imagine what the community could do with the money we earn by selling 10 cheap MB-SIDs! A Lasercutter for the whole community! that would be a nice thing..
  13. That reminds me of my old Aspirine-o-phone ;D (It's a NE555, btw.) What about renting a SH-201 until you've finished your SID? SSCN0766.JPG SSCN0767.JPG
  14. I've never seen such controllers... I didn't even know that they are actually existing hmm... midicontroller, pots, buttons.... well, he could use the MB64E in case he'd prefer rotary encoders. Do you have any other suggestions? constructive criticism, please ;)
  15. DIN is okay unless you want it to be velocity sensitive of aftertouch. you can use the MB64 firmware. that's okay for the buttons and the pots. BUT: your midibox would send stuff like: -note A4 on -pot #24 turned to position 56 -note Bb2 on -note A4 off so you have to use a software on the PC that supports microtonal stuff. software that goes like: "Alright, note A4 is on and pot #24 is turned to position 56, so I have to make a sound with 430Hz instead of 440Hz (pot #24 would be at 64 then) "
  16. thanks for the link. Have you also found the black plastic "enclosures" at reichelt?
  17. er... ringmodulation?
  18. nice stuff! the xylophone,- does it actually "sound" when you hit it?
  19. hier auch! (obwohl 2 MFs+Knopf auch in einen A5 Luftpolsterumschlag gepasst hätten ;))
  20. Take care with the space between the encoders. If there isn't enough space between them, It'll get hard to turn them.
  21. schau mal im wiki unter User projects nach "Midibox mixer" oder so
  22. Hi sneakthief, I must say that I really liked your performance in Leipzig. I've just started downloading your new set and I'm looking forward to listening to it... although it'll still take some time....with my .... 56k modem... ::) As I'm very new to this kind of music I'd like to ask you some questions. First of all: What are you doing on stage? It doesn't really loke like you're playing everything "live". At least I can see no keyboard or anything like that. And, how are you preparing such gigs? And last but not least, do you plan every single thing you do on stage or do you have a special kind of communication so that both your part and the part of your friend fits together? Yeah, I know it sounds a bit noobish,.. but I am a noob concerning such music. And I'm really interested in new kinds of music. I just don't want to keep floating around in the "MTV-Pop-Rock-Mainstream", but discovering new stuff. regards, matthias
  23. I didn't actually think that anyone would take my demand seriously.
