  5. Thank you for the offer, Lucas. :) I´d suggest we wait with the decision who might runs what until we really have a quote and a confirmed availability by ALBS. Until then just post the number of knobs wanted here. Preferable in multiples of 10 :-) Current list: BLACK/TRANSPARENT Hawkeye 50 PhilTaylor 30 Phunk 15 Orangehand 15 Wilba 60 gtxdude 30 Hurolura 100 olga42 60 altitude 50 starfire 20 dmagic 15 technobreath 20 (fixed the nr) BLACK/RED psyreactor 100 gtxdude 30 olga42 30 technobreath 30
  6. Hey guys, as stated above ALBS is still closed. I called them yesterday and they will be opened by next week. I will post the info here then. <2cents info="before this is going into the wrong direction"> The 0.60€ p.p. mentioned in this thread is not the price that you will have to pay for the knobs. It is the price that ALBS sell them for. That is without german VAT, shipping and handling by ALBS, shipping and handling by whoever does runs the bulk. In all the last official ALBS Waldorf bulks in this forum the knobs were sold for 1.20€ p.p. and I think that was for a reason :-) Please take that into account when putting numbers here. </2cents> Current list: BLACK/TRANSPARENT Hawkeye 30 PhilTaylor 30 Phunk 15 Orangehand 15 Wilba 60 gtxdude 30 Hurolura 100 olga42 60 altitude 50 starfire 20 dmagic 15 BLACK/RED psyreactor 100 gtxdude 30 olga42 30 technobreath 50
  7. Cool Knobs! Cool project! What are you going to control with? Any special apps or general purpose?
  8. You should get exactly 12V out of a regulated DC powersupply. They often have little switches where you can "dial in" the voltage needed. It might be you accidently moved them to the 6V setting...
  9. erm...dont get me wrong but that soldering looks really aweful and you got several bridges at the smd chips and all over the place. That´s very likely the reason that it is not working. I see bridges at pin 8/9 and 13/14 of the OPL. The Chips look like they would "stand" on solder. Then you got a bridge in front of the nr. 1 pin of the OPL between the third and fourth trace...and so on.. What iron did u use? Small tip and regulated is highly recommended especially when dealing with SMD parts. Its not only that you get bad and bulky joints but you "burn" the chips using an unregulated iron with a big tip. What you can do now is "cleaning" the PCB. That means that you get yourself some solder wick and desolder the SMD parts (with a decent iron!) and resolder the obvious bridges. Do that carefully. Dont heat the SMD parts for too long and with to much power. They will fry if they havent already. I could imagine you already broke the parts but just try it. Watch this to get an impression how to solder SMD. http://store.curiousinventor.com/guides/Surface_Mount_Soldering/101/
  10. native instruments kontrol s4 It´s worth every penny :-) besides that DIY is great! :frantics:
  11. Then you must have overlooked something. There is a AIN Module and there is a DIN Module. Both are used for the MB64, DINS only with the MB64E...you can combine them though. Read again ;-)
  12. Hi, the mb64(e) firmware has not been ported (yet) to the new STM32 Core. So either you do that yourself or you use the PIC Core. The difference between the MB64 and MB64e is that first has analog in modules while the latter has digital in modules, supporting pots vs. encoders. Firmware is different. You can mix encoders and pots though. There are no presoldered PIC cores available. It´s easy to solder them with a lil practice. You have to do that anyway when dealing with other midibox modules. STM32 comes presoldered when you buy it at SmashTV´s Store (avishowtech.com) Have fun..
  13. yeah..i just wait for their response.. let´s see how many people we get...

I assume they are closed during the german holidays. I let you know here as soon as i have a reply.
  15. oh...sorry..i havent realized your post being SEQ related. Cant tell you since i dont own a SEQ (yet)
  16. Peter! What a great TuT! Hopefully it makes it in the Wiki or at least becomes a sticky. It helped me a lot sourcing parts. You still gotta come over trying the prophet!
  17. SOLD (under reserve) Hey guys, now that i ordered the parts for the MB6582 i would like to sell my sammichSID here in the community.. It´s black with green LCD and LEDs, comes already assembled with 2x8580s and works just fine. I´am asking what i paid to have it at home on my desk, all parts ready to assemble. That was 200€ for the Kit + 50€ customs and VAT = 250€ I ship within Germany and the EU. If you´re interested PM me please or send me an email. Bank transfer or Paypal (if you pay the additional fees) :-) Anyway you can catch me almost 24/7 in the chat... And you can haz PICZ:
  18. Dont get me wrong i dont wanna discourage you but in my Opinion it doesnt make any sense transferring a virtual gui like that into a 1:1 hardware equivalent. There is a reason because it is "only" realized as a software. 120 pots and more than 100 switches is not only a big but a huge project, hardwarewise and most notably costwise. (120 Pots, 100 Switches, 120 Pot-Knobs, a panel that is big enough to accomodate all these, a case, panel engravings for 120 Knobs, etc.) even though you can of course make a low cost box... A possible solution I could imagine would be the use of a MB64 or MB64e (encoders). But i dont know how the midi implementation of the plugin works and if it would allow you to switch between the windows. You gotta find out. ;) Uh..thorsten was faster..
  19. The reason for this is that they are not sold as "center tapped" transformers but as 2 x 9V or something like this. Yes, the transformers stated should work. At least they have the specifications given. (but do you really want to buy them in the US? Reichelt.de ships to france as well) http://www.reichelt.de/?ACTION=3;GROUP=C526;GROUPID=3317;ARTICLE=27378;SID=31@DAQIawQAR8AAHD@H-g7640cc880e3b4e4bbfdbc0f89bc31a97 http://www.reichelt.de/?ACTION=3;GROUP=C53;GROUPID=3319;ARTICLE=27574;SID=31@DAQIawQAR8AAHD@H-g7640cc880e3b4e4bbfdbc0f89bc31a97 And yes, you connect Pin 9 & Pin 10. So you get Pin 12=+VCC , Pin 9/10= GND, Pin 7= -VCC For the grid side you do the same and connect Pin3 and Pin4.
  20. 120 Faders? This one here has 64 in the bottom row. So if i were you I´d sleep on it for one more night before ordering parts.
  21. The transformer ist not part of the schem as far as i can see it. That would back up the user-experiences described in the thread i linked...
  22. Consider this "normal" then. :) Now i got it. The audiojacks used are "wrong" when applying the standard rear panel. An audiojack with thin solder legs is needed so the body sits flat on the pcb. The part used is very likely the reichelt standard audiojack with widened solder legs that cant be mounted flat but has a few mm clearance. I´d recommend you desoldering them and use the right part. Thats way easier than reworking the perfectly made panel. You should have some soldering experience though. Otherwise give it to a friend who has. All you need is desoldering braid, new jacks and an soldering iron. 3 Minutes work.
