  1. Of course ;)
  2. You got as far as that? Oh dear. Couldn't you just photoshop some naked ladies onto a printed version of the MB-SID V2 manual... might stop so many questions being asked that already covered in the documentation :D
  3. Looks like it's a spanned archive, if you want to see the manual porn you'll have to download all parts.
  4. Mine arrived last week (saturday?). One step closer... Thanks again G
  5. I like the laserable plastics idea more everytime I think about it. Have you got any more example pictures of it? G
  6. I want some, not decided on how many though. Ideally I want red on black, but will take white or grey on black if there is no other option. G
  7. It's quite straight forward, the tag to do it is CODE, it needs to be in the middle of two square brackets. IE (CODE) Your code here (/CODE) (Square brackets replaced by normal ones to allow tags to be displayed.) G ;)
  8. Does this engraving plastic come in any thinner sizes? I'm thinking it could be used on top of a metal panel so that it's more sturdy. G
  9. Yes, that's definitely a good sight. This project is moving along a lot faster than I thought! G
  10. That thing scares me, it's movement is way too organic.
  11. As far as I can work out from the Ladyada site, the screws go through the front panal, through the PT-10 case holes and then into the threaded spacers on the main-board. It's only secured along the edge, but this is nearby the lip. Personally, i think it may be stable enough but it may be worth checking all this out
  12. I like that... May consider using one of them for my second x0x which is going to be the one using alternative componants and mods to try and get a "better" sound. It's begging to be underlit though. What kind of material do you use for a diffuser? G
  13. Absolutely understand.. The red one is good tho ;D If people want a custom colour then maybe they could just get an un-finished panel and can sort out getting it painted/Anodised/screened themselves. G
  14. Very, very nice Sasha, how do you find time to do all this? Looks a lot better than the stock x0x kits. I love the font too. Not too sure about the panal screws showing, but don't think it's worth trying to find a way round it... may look better with black screws? G
  15. I really do like the red ones, but don't mind going with what is easiest. G
  16. Wilba..... That's the exact colour scheme that I was thinking about.... I think red text would be a bit much, but red divider lines would be be very nice. I wasn't expecting two colours as I thought it would be a lot of work, but if there's a few of us then maybe it would warrent the extra screen. Just out of interest, are these panels going to be made at the same place as last time? They were cheap and the only real problem was their screening. I know some of the holes had burrs, but this was easily resolvable using a file. G
  17. LOL, was going to suggest that last night but my connection died. Notepad++ is an excellent editor. G
  18. Will have to price this up for the UK. Any ideas how much it will cost to get these printed? (I already have a panel). Just to be awkward, is there any chance of gettting custom colours? I understand that doing multiple colours on one panal is way out of the question, but a nice red would compliment my LCD :D G
  19. The ones that Wilba had were translucent blue. These were really nice knobs as you could underlight them. Unforutunately there were only a handful left which got snaffled up long ago. The only ones left are opgues ones. Sorry I couldn't give you a yes, as i'd like to see these knobs in production. We'd have to have a hell of a lot of orders to get them to make us some! G
  20. Well found. Please put me down for a set if you're getting them in. Glad you've managed to find them, I'm hoping to build two x0xb0xes with the different types of parts so this is very much appreciated. g
  21. At least i can build a good box!
  22. I'm going to be ordering some more knobs from Albs in the near future. ALBS have a large minimum order for these so it's not easy to get them on an individual basis. For those of you that don't already know, these are the "Waldorf" knobs as used by Wilba's MB-6582. These are very nice soft touch knobs and compliment the PT-10 case and front panels perfectly. I may not be organising another order for a while, so if you want some of these knobs for your upcoming MB-6582 then get your name on the list. I will be collecting payment on the 16th April for these and then will make the order. Please don't add "Me too" to this thread. I have set up a wiki page with full details and an order list. Simply login to the wiki and add your name to the table. Make sure that you review and check it before saving it down and make sure that you have only added your details to the list. The WIKI URL is http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/albs_waldorf_knob_-_order_no._3 G
  23. This is probably true now... At school we were making flashing LEDS on decade counters and the like so trouble shooting wasn't too difficult however bad the rats nest inside was. Well at least we're getting there. It's going to be a little while untill all we have all the componants so there isn't any real urgency. I do sympathise with your stress levels though... It doesn't look like it's al been as straight forward as it should. G
  24. I'm planning on doing the same... First x0x will be using the x0x suggested parts and housed in a PT-10. The second one will be using the alternative parts, will be modified and be in a custom case. My electronics teacher taught me how to make cases at school because and pretty much told is that it doesn't matter how crap a circuit looks or how bad the soldering is (as long as it works) as long as the case looks nice then the project will look professional. How are the panels coming along? G
  25. Umnn.. Yeh. Mines already starting to look a bit like yours! I'm determined to not use a WYSIWIG editor though. G
