This makes me want to get my seq up and running even more! I had a thought about a mode for switching the 16 encoders from adjusting step parameters to adjusting CC and sending them at the midi outs for live control uses. Does the seq already do this? I just thought it would be a nice way for people to kinda get a MB16 for free! Maybe a f1-4 button would work for this?

Thanks seppo. I cheked it out just now. This seems like a fun project and hopefully should cost less than $100 to realize. I was still thinking about the mbsid configuration and how many poteniometers (forgot how to spell) would be needed since I will not be using the actual sid control surface.I assume only two? I would also need a to connect an lcd yes? Sorry for ranting I am just methodical.

I am alot better at just following diretions ;D What parameters can you control on the filter board when it is being controlled by midi from the core? i.e cut off, resonance ect..

Are there any similar filter harware effects that this is comparable to? Are we talking sherman filterbank status?

MB-SEQ V3/V4 Control Surface PCB and matching case
Echopraxia replied to Wilba's topic in MIDIbox SEQ
I plan on using my MBseq for both harware and vst instruments. Wilba, is the pcb definately going to include the encoder slots? I was thinking about if people want only the pcb and not the case ect.. they will probalby use there own buttons lights ect. Or maybe the easiest thing to do would be to leave you alone and buy the damn thing and just cut off the encoder portion of the pcb itself. Just a thought. Please don't hurt me. ;) -
Thanks seppo. So your saying that the audio comes out of the filter board directly? And then I would need the Aout hooked up to the core to get midi control? Could I use this simple setup with the MBsid V2 program without any additional parts that are normally used for MBsid V2? But just to be clear I must have an aout module to control the board at all correct?

Sorry if this is not the rightr place to post. I soon will read thru your wiki about the use but I have a quick question about wiring. Can you use this pcb connected to audio in and out jacks for seperate use on effects sends and such instead of having it directly connected to the synth. And is it possible to control with midi? I hope I am explaining myself correctly and excuse my CV noobish thinking.

group buy for ultracore (core + 4x IIC + 8 banksticks)
Echopraxia replied to ultra's topic in Bulk Orders
Got mine. Thanks again Ultra. I had some more questions about this. It should be ok to use these boards for MB64 and MB16 builds yes? And just to make it final. Do I just copy smash's part list for the core and IIC modules and leave out the 10uf caps for the IICs? (Also headers are different and pics not included of course) For the IIC pics I should still get them from smash correct? unless I have my own burner. I can't wait to get started on this. -

MIDIbox of the Week (Water proofed MB64E made by Alkex)

Those buttons look similar to the ones for the MBSID LIVE concept. Correct me if I am wrong. -
I wish I could find that lcd color in 2x40.

Any chance of getting a Order list for Digikey. I think its called a bom list or something. Its a file that you give to Digikey that already has all the parts and quantities. I think when you fill out an order you can save the order as this file if you need to order more later. I will look into this if I have time. Thanks again ULTRA! -
Gotta love those arcade controls. ;) Where do you get those little plastic molded white things that hold the pcb at its four corners? What are they called?

Radio shack will become bankrupt soon. Just like circuit city..... The easiest thing to do is to cut the cable close to the idc connector and get a fresh idc.

That thread you linked seppo was way more indepth from the one I was referring too and it does take home styrd's point and now I will forever hold my piece. echopraxia orders 50 2044s from hongkongsuperseller ;)

MB6582!? My new SID-Projekt was finished
Echopraxia replied to Pascal's topic in MIDIbox of the Week
Since OMG has already been said I will move on to my question. Could you give some recommendations in regards to the "Color Laser Sticker foil"? Good source, How to print, what type of printer to use (laser?), and how to apply? -
The 2044s are the real deal from aka "hongkongsuperseller" right? I was just reading another thread about bogus parts from this seller.

I would like 3 please. -
Dont mean to bump but I need guidance too. I want to hook up around 35-40 encoders and about 10 buttons for a MB64. I was reading on the MB64 page that only 64 buttons can be used which is 2 DINs. Can more than 2 DIN boards / 8 shift registers be used for MB64? Encoders use 2 inputs each so 2 din boards would only give me 32 knobs and no extra buttons.

Difference between Layer A B C and Trigger Layer A B C Buttons?
Echopraxia replied to Echopraxia's topic in MIDIbox SEQ
I understand the layer A B C but the TRIGGER layer gate, accent and roll I am not so sure about. Would I push trigger layer gate "A" on then hit steps 1-16 to turn gate on or off on each step? Forgive my lack of knowledge but how is gate different from lenght ??? Also I remeber somewhere that TK mentioned something about fixed layer selections i.e only note-note-note, or only note-cc-cc ect.. for the A, B and C buttons? Is it still this way? I would like to have them all and adjust them for each track as need be. Can the CC#s be changed for the layers? Thanks for geting back to me moxi. -
Hello everybody. I am designing my front panel for SEQ V3 and I was trying to figure out what is the difference between these two sets of buttons? I have not tested their functions. I am trying to figure out the positioning of these two sets of buttons as I will have them parallel to the group and track buttons. I.e Group buttons will have to the right Trigger layer buttons abc. Then one row down the track buttons and to the right of those are the other layer buttons. I will try to post the pic of the panel here but I am tired and can't figure out how to upload a FPE file here or turn the FPE data into a jpg. I am taking a guess but are the trigger layer buttons like mpc pads? If I hit the trigger layer A button it will automatically make layer A sound off? If this is the case what note/cc value will trigger I.e last modifed step?? RIght now I am assuming that the layer ABC buttons bring up the layers onto the screens for editing?
