I think we need to hear some good tracks on all of thoses expensive sequencers drool. I could go for some old guy techno. No offense ;) Just my two cents on the matter. I never built anything and was very shy about doing my first box. I found time at work to get it "done" and the feeling of accomplishment made me 100x more appreciative of the ammount of technical knowledge and time involved in these projects. I know have the desire to build Everything else that TK has coded. If you don't want to get involved in the DIY concept of your box you are probably never going to get your issue fixed. Just search the forums for your answer and don't be afraid to open your box and see the crappy craftsmanship inside. Have a nice day and goodluck.

somebody interested in x0xb0x PCB`s (BATCH CLOSED)
Echopraxia replied to Sasha's topic in Miscellaneous
We are interested in everything doug ;) By the way how is your cnc project going? -
I am in for the bulk order still too.

When is the bulk order? ;D

Hey I have tried to contact the wayfar nes guy but he either does not reply or I am not sending the email to the right adress.

Be warned. Logic has a long learning curve. But should'nt be such an issue for Boxers. I know if you have PC you can download the old 5.5 version to test it out but make sure to purchase it after ;) Emagic has had a rough ride and needs the support.

I always hear about ableton but I never hear tracks made on it. I have used logic for about 4-5 years and have to say it is too much to think about half the time. You have to spend alot of time to make the perfect template which I never really accomplished :-[ I think its automation would be way better if you could have it for every note just by clicking the note and have a side menu show pan, adsr, eq and so on for that one particular note BUT instead of having this, it has some drum style automation that only affects that 1/16 step and not individual notes. I want sometihng I can sequence strings on and have one note fade in and one start right away on the same track but this seems like it can't be done unless you just make another track with the same sound only faded. Am I making any sense :P LONG LIVE MG 8)

Would a tempo knob be useful for the sequencer part? Alittle off topic but is there a way to use a turntable to control filter ect..? Maybe add some button function for audio in to filter... ??? Or is that what the matrix does? Sorry if I am not going anywhere with this. I am just trying to think LIVE.

Here you go. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140197442334&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=004

Has any one used a yamaha TG 33 synth before? It has a great joystick on it that mixes the four voices of a single patch. It is really fun for live because you can switch/mix between four different sounds as fast as a cross fader. Its great for doing A-B-A-B style tracks. I thought it would be cool to add one by the mod wheel.

4x16 (8x8) Button/Duo-LED programming example

TK, Where do you find such big vero board? I have been looking for sizes like this but for some reason I have had no luck. -
I think you are right seppo about making it too easy. But do you really want to blame someone for doing that? The only reason why I ask is because bulk orders come and go in a flash and I would like not to miss out if its not going to be included in the parts kit. I thought I was being pretty clear.

Hey Wilba. Should people that didn't get a MB 6582 pcb on the first run even look at this? I am just wondering if this will still be a needed part in addtion to smash's base board kit? Or is some kind of power supply going to be included in the kits already?

If your getting voltages at the J1 of the DIN board thats good. Try this app srio_interconnection_test_v1.zip. I think only one of the pins @ J1 isn't supposed to get voltage (can't quite remember) Does someone else want to chime in? As far as the alps encoders I would look up the specs for which is ground. I always encourage making your own stuff but smash's boards are second to none. The way solder flows on them is magical ;) Sorry if I am just repeating things that have already been said. Always search the forum for more answers as TK has probably already written about it.
-
If yor using smash's Din board with the IDC 10 pin header, try moving the wires @ J1 of the din to the other row (NOT J2). I found that making single connectors for each cable was very useful in testing. I purchased some crimp connectors then crimped them to each wire then added some heat shrink to avoid connectors touching each other. It worked out great. Also you can go to the download page and check out the encoder test app which should be able to tell you that encoder one has been turned and so on. Good luck.

maybe we should bulk order ;D

Sorry for the silly question but can these two units have a regular audio source/midi synth sent into them to be modfied then outputed to a mixer? I havent gotten into analog cv stuff at the moment.
-
I wasn't sure if these would work with midibox stuff but they sure are nice and sexy panels. There are 4 of them. http://cgi.ebay.com/PANAMAX-MAX-5500-SILVER-FACE-PLATE-FACEPLATE-BEZ5500-S_W0QQitemZ120194783844QQihZ002QQcategoryZ32830QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem

I think alot of us would like to try out the uv paint. I would find it very useful for boarders around a set of buttons or a drawing of the devil to appear. :o What methods for the panel graphics are best for the uv paint negatives? Sorry if it sounds newbish of me.

SoundWell rotary encoders (like ALPS STEC16B, "Voti" encoders)
Echopraxia replied to Wilba's topic in Bulk Orders
Is there a wiki bulk order page for this second order? I would like 100 encoders please. -
Here are some case I thought might be useful for US buyers. This is all random junk so take it with a grain of salt. http://cgi.ebay.com/Life-Alert-Medical-Response-System_W0QQitemZ310006917538QQihZ021QQcategoryZ1504QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/HP-8616A-Signal-Generator_W0QQitemZ310007217097QQihZ021QQcategoryZ97198QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-WorldStar-Multi-Band-Radio-Receiver-MG-6000_W0QQitemZ310007601456QQihZ021QQcategoryZ50596QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/VideoLogic-Mediator-Video-Controller_W0QQitemZ310007644741QQihZ021QQcategoryZ3759QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/Halcyon-710-Signaling-Unit-for-Parts-Repair_W0QQitemZ310007914201QQihZ021QQcategoryZ294QQcmdZViewItem

So the first black and blue knobs are both NOT soft touch right? Thats a nice mfb you got there. I never knew they made a drum computer.

Hey everybody. I am not in this bulk order but I have sent a wire to sasha before and it only takes acouple of days from the US. (of course it took me 4!!! trips to the bank just to get it right!) It is strange that jaicen hasen't been around for 15 days but stay patient as maybe he is having problems getting it right with the bank. On the other hand my experience with sahsa was very positive and I love the buttons he made for me at cost! How much money did jaicen collect I wonder?
