Gotta love Futurama! Moar Hypnotoad :D

  4. Still in the making, I'm currently very lazy. But check out this thread:
  5. Maybe this helps:
  6. Thanks for documenting this. I was somehow lucky that Mouser messed up my order with the Bourns encoders, so I can place a new one without them :-)
  7. At least in the forum. Haven't checked the chat.
  8. @Altitude: Well, maybe that's the case. I'll try paint thinner next time, because I don't own the Sammichs anymore.
  9. Then there's something wrong with my paint or my eyes are too good. I used both IPA and acetone and only with acetone I managed to get the fresh black paint (Revell black enamel) from the panel. IPA didn't do the job. But even with acetone ~0,02% of the black pigments stayed in the rough surface. It looks a little bit smudged if you take a closer look and have good lighting. However, this doesn't apply to the white enamel pen from Edding on the black arcylic panel. There I managed to remove 100% of the enamel. Not sure why. But a protective paper ensures to minimze the amount of enamel left on the panel.
  10. No protective paper? What a bummer. Ponoko says the following: "Most of the acrylic sheets we use come with protective paper on both sides. It’s possible for us to leave this paper on when making your design, which we tend to do where it will not interfere with your engraving. The main downside to this is needing to peel paper off both sides of the acrylic, which can be time consuming and tricky if your design is intricate." Maybe Formulor removes it, because they think it's customer-friendly. I can confirm Altitude's method, works too with acetone and fresh paint. Acetone is not corrosive on the black and white Sammich cases and doesn't leave a stain. But when you use black paint on the white acrylic panel, some black particles are left. You can see that with the yellow particles on Altitude's panel. Doesn't look that clean to me.
  11. Wilba is back! Hooray!
  12. :flowers: http://www.satistron...ound_p2061.html
  13. Cool, thanks!
  14. @ilmenator: I'd be interested, if it doesn't take much time. I'd go for the complete case with the honeycomb structure but without the engraving.
  15. This looks cool. Like the older brother of the sammichSID. How much did you pay, ilmenator?
  16. Okay, so no demand for a Core32 case bulk. I think the best solution might be a 17" case that both fits a Core32 and a LPC17. But as I'm currently building my Core32 SEQ4, no further actions from me.
  17. Hey I know this sammichFM :) Finally, somebody is making music with it.
  18. @Antix: I think you might missed the hidden irony tags. I'm not paying 64EURs for a 25EUR IC or fly to HK for that purpose. That's just absurd. My opinion on these sites: How do you make sure, they don't scam you? Maybe first get a sample and then order low quantities. Also use money you can afford to lose. :ahappy: Edit: Or try an escrow service: http://www.seekic.com/escrow/
  19. This sounds convincing to me. But I'm currently a little in limbo on whether I should take the next Lufthansa flight to HK and get in contact with these guys: http://www.chinaicmart.com/series-658/6582A.html I'm sure 55 rebranded 8580 plus a week in a 4 star hotel is within the 1980EUR budget.
  20. @orange_hand: Don't laugh! These are the ultra rare 6582A! If they are tested thoroughly, I'll buy the whole bulk! But I'm curious, what testing routine EightBitHead was running. For 1980EUR I'd like to see a detailed testing protocol. Not that they turn out as rebranded 8580.
  21. Okay, okay. BTW: What do you mean by fully tested? Could you please elaborate on your testing procedure?
  22. Hope not too many Republicans around, but I need to celebrate good Obama C'MON!!

  23. Cheaper sources: http://www.ebay.de/i...=item337d068e16 http://www.ebay.de/i...=item23249a7dd9 http://www.ebay.de/i...=item257741881b Still overpriced... Wasn't AndroSID selling SIDs for 24EUR? That's a reasonable price. Edit: Sometimes it's smarter to sell 30 SIDs for 780EUR than 3 SIDs for 174EUR. But that's just me. :cat:
  24. I could include this particular one in the next Albs BO, if ppl choose to. A datawheel BO out of the blue doesn't make much sense I guess. I need to order at least 17pcs from Albs to make them move. And one wheel would be then 6,50EUR incl. shipping.:logik:
