  1. Great! I 'm sure Adrian knows it very well but painting usually changes a lot of things in the tolerance adjustments.
  2. Hihi, this Nudelholz will become famous, can we get a picture of it ? lol
  3. Hi, 2 beta testers! One last?! :) @Phatline and @monokinetic This is the eagle lib for the dipCoreF4, it will be easier to integrate in your design. Here: dipCoref4_beta.zip ! Fell free to create the equivalent for Kicad... Best regards Bruno
  4. replacing bullets by flower or midi connector is pacifism ;)
  5. You will blow-up your sales, guys!!
  6. You're welcome! Tell me if it works for your Sunset too, I know that Meris and Empress work fine with it, tell me for Strymon please. Thx Bruno
  7. This stack is 1xOTG USB port, 1 LCD port, 3x SPI(2 in 5V), 2x I2C, 2 Channels ADC, 1x MCAN or MBNET port, 48 GPIO and 18 MIDI UART !!! All in:
  8. m16 is pretty finished too ;) I'm on the last check and aesthetic details... Best Bruno
  9. Hello, This is about a new STM32F4 mbhp, a very compact one. This concept is an answer to these three topics: I tried to draw the most compact core and mbhp board. It's an STM32F405RG instead of the regular 407VG. The 405RG is the smallest package of the M4 Series, this is a LQFP64, a 10x10mm package with only 64 pins. Because these two Processor are from the same family, we don't need deep changes in MIOS32. They have exactly the same functions, memory, speed and peripherals. I put the STM32F4 on a DIP-40 format pcb, in order to get a core that can also replace a PIC in some application, I strongly think of my sammichSid. At the same time it must provide the legacy functions and ports of MIOS32 of course. Some compromise have been made in comparison to a 407VG mbhp. - Only 2 MIDI I/O. - J15, the LCD port is now a serial one only(SSD13xx). - No more general purpose port J10x. This is the list of the 'remaining' ports and changes. - J1A and J1B are the USB and Power ports, J1A is compatible with latigid on's USB wCore module. J1B can be a common header on top or a Micro-Match connector on bottom to stack another board under. - J4 is a dual I2C connector, I put both on the same connector to save space. - J5 is a 2 channels only ADC, they can be used for expression pedal input for example. - J8/9 and J19 stay the Legacy 5V SPI ports, the dipCoreF4 includes the octal buffer(74HCT541); - J11 is now a 6pin and 2 MIDI I/O port. - J16E is the 3.3V SPI port, commonly dedicated to the SD Card it is compatible with latigid on's RES-SD modules. it is extended by the Reset input, the user button and 2 outputs for LEDs. - J18 has changed, it is now able to connect a CAN tranceiver, but stay compatible with the MBNET connection. About the dimension, the ensemble is very compact 65x46mm, but the Core can be used alone and measures 51x17.8mm. A 3D view of the ensemble(sorry this is not a render, I shoot the screen): You will find some more information on the dokuwiki, dipCoreF4 and dipBoardF4 Feel free to ask me question or give me any constructive criticism. I will order some board very soon, if some want to participate in the tests they are welcome, just contact me. I will provide the beta boards for free I just ask you to play the game and seriously help me to improve it ;) Thank you Best regards Bruno PS: sorry for my English as usual ;)
  10. Thank you! New name, new silkscreen;) I will open a dedicated thread for the ensemble. I need feedback and beta-testers... Bruno
  11. That's a really good price for a Seq in this category(heavyweight)! There's no more solid concurrence now ;) Someone outside the forum, who already has a regular V4, asked me if except the layout there's major changes in the hardware. I answered him that there's no internal changes but that the frontpanel itself changes a lot of things and I shared with him the original thread(new frontpanel idea). In a few lines could you enumerate the frontpanel changes and what's new in terms of functionality or ergonomics? if it's not already summarized somewhere. You are in the best position to answer this question. Thank you. Bruno
  12. I'm not sure to understand but: I said that on the regular MIDI gear side you need the MIDI Out to supply the MIDI In! but you don't need the MIDI In connected for a single MIDI Out ! here if I understand, first you've got the first and second gear with regular MIDI: JOYO MIDI Out => Timeline MIDI In to finish you need to control your sunset from the timeline(MIDI out), the full chain is JOYO MIDI Out => [Timeline MIDI In... Timeline MIDI Out] => Sunset TRS then no problem.
  13. A short 3D view of the dipCoreF4 The name is dipCoreF4 now !
  14. Do it slowly, properly and take care. If it's like Meris and Empress the same TRS 6,25 is used for expression pedal(analog), for Tap(switch) and for MIDI then this must be highly protected. More than that, as I said before the regular 220Ohm MIDI resistors will act as current limiter. Don't put 220V in it that's all ;) Notes: With my diagram, MIDI In will work only if the MIDI Out is connected, The 5V for MIDI in is provided by the Output. The trick is there. This must be the function of the disaster box and others, they are actives boxes(powered) they provide this 5V and they distribute and merge to and from their multiples TRS connectors.
  15. Ok, Try to simply do this, the point is to connect the 5V of the MIDI out to the 5V of the MIDI In to get the input optocoupler acting. Works fine for me on a Polymoon, receive and send. And cabling example: Normally the 220ohm already present in your MIDI output acts as current limiter, no need for more resistor. Best Bruno
  16. I totally agree for me it's stupid. But no choice, they did it, we have to deal with it. To get it properly from a MIDI signal(not from UART directly) we must put something in the middle, I didn't work on this subject for the moment, but it's a part of a bigger project then I will do it for sure, just a question of time ;) .... Best Bruno
  17. Yes I planned to sell the board, but for the moment it’s a beta, we can test thé proto together, just want to check some stuff before order thé board
  18. I just sent you a message ;) Ahhh! Totally forgot this. I will draw new modules too... different but still compatible...
  19. Hello, So I persisted in this direction, here is what results. I took your notes into account, it may be able to meet your requirements too. I designed a DIP40 PCB with the necessary MIOS32 features on board. The dipCoreF4. It matches the main functions and pins of a MIOS8 PIC, I think I will try to put it in my SammichSID change the LCD for an ssd1322 and see what happens ;) It also fully matches the MIOS32 ports and features with some slightly changes. It's a very small Core you can put everywhere easily. I designed the mbhp which comes with it. The dipBoardF4. Size is 65x46mm. It is compatible with Andy's wCore USB and RES-SD modules. Check the dokuwiki pages and tell me if you want to try it. For the name, I'm still hesitating with dipCoreF4 ?! Best Bruno
  20. Hi Peter, The address lines were lost, blank. I put it again. Billing Address is fine now if you close the page and come back... But if you logout and login, Shopping Cart is lost and the Billing Address is totally blank... I suppose this must jump the Address Input page when the user has logged in and he already fill it in a previous session. Note: Don't find how to change the addresses in the 'Customer Account' page. Country list suggestion: Good to get keyboard shortcut when 'country' combo box is active, e.g. hit 'f' key go to 'F' countries in the list. Best regards Bruno
  21. This is very professional, this is just more and more beautiful... congrats!
  22. It was not working before... thanks! Don't worry, it doesn't matter, keep your time for something else ;) I'm waiting for new UI PCB before checkout... I suppose the ENC plates don't change, I've got v1.0? Best Bruno
  23. Hello Peter, Just some kind remarks to perfect this new amazing webshop ;) In France and maybe other country, 'street number' is before the 'street', I thing formatting must be changed depending on country(during or after validation, after is maybe easier). Putting the street number after can cause delivery mistakes here. A workaround, I putted a space in street number, and the number in the street to get it right and accepted. In the shopping cart, I don't find a way to delete an item line. Put the net sum and VAT lines after the real sum, as they will be clearly seen as indications. Better for our mind ;) Have a good day! Bruno
