  1. Using a resistor in parallel with a pot will result in a lower overall resistance (when using the correct values of course) but it will also turn the pot into a logarithmic one which is not desireable for most midibox applications.
  2. Unter SMD Chips verstecken sich gerne mal ein paar Lötpubsies. Miss mal die verschiedenen Pins gegeneinander, irgendwo wird doch ein Fehler sein :-)
  3. Datenblatt des TL074 schon mal angesehen? http://focus.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tl074.pdf
  4. I always considered the price to be the thing that keeps those things from being all that successfull with the mb community...
  5. BAZE! Where do I sign up for kits? ;)
  6. Hmmm, nice switches. Desoldering DS boards does suck a lot though! Hang in there ;)
  7. You can replace the 2200µF cap with a smaller one (I *think* 1000µF will be okay, there's a value given on one of the SID schems on ucapps.de), you can leave out the bridge rectifier. That's about it. The rest appears to be what's in the LM317 datasheet and should most likely not be replaced.
  8. I think confucius once said: Switching PSU only good when expensive or not for audio.
  9. There's a ULP called "exp-project-lbr.ulp" which exports *all* libraries used in a project. But it does what you need. Just delete the other .lbr files it generates.
  10. Ahh, mittel-schönes SMD Löten ;) Hast Du mal Serge's SysexLoader versucht? Ist einiges komfortabler als per MIDI-Ox.

Yeah the different colored blocks totally ruin the creative idea *whack*
  13. I always thought this was intentional and meant to be a joke - seriously :)
  14. Already noticed and fixed. I tend to notice mistakes *after* I upload a screenshot ;) I had the CS lines mixed up as well, right?
  15. Is there a picture/schem or anything like that? Scratch that, found it on their site. I must say, I'd rather have a pcb with all 5 IOs on it as DIN sockets, but I guess that's nothing a small extra board can't fix ;) It is more versatile that way for sure...
  16. It sorta is - the whole thing is relatively small, so ideal placement is not really possible with my inferior newb-eagle-skills. Feel free to do that ;) If I did this, bugfight would *whack* me. Works well for crystals, kinda hard to do with oscillators as they tend to have a higher profile. Just take the swinsid schem from swinkel's site and merge it with the mbSID schematic and you're good to go. Small update: * added J14 connector to allow for 1:1 cable * separated ground planes (for analog part) * added alternative footprint for the oscillator * canged footprints of the caps from 2.54 mm to 5.08 mm * some clean up
  17. People (especially ralfgpunkt): if you change the table make sure you change the sums also. Or your order just might get split into the first and second batch.
  18. Nah, don't remove it :-) It's already c*nsored enough.

Was genau hast Du denn damit vor?
  20. Uh-oh, this is turning into a hijack. Could a mod please split the thread? Davo: Among the things I plan to change is adding a second footprint for the oscillator. Since the small ones are not really available everywhere, I will not remove the big one.
  21. Yes that's correct. Two pins are unused, but 2x5 DIL headers/cables are just more common than 2x4 :-) This is not a "final" version, and what you just mentioned is one of the things I need to check and see if it needs adjustment. Doesn't anything go unnoticed in here? ;)
  22. Small update: * added swinkels' C64/mb mod * left TDA1543 in there for now * size is now standard core size (holes match as well, well 3 of them at least) * GND and +5V connections not shown (planes)
  23. count.
  24. Yeah, that's a great idea. Let's all do that to raise our post
