    LOL TB, black maybe OK but I have some doubts about the pearl coating. Anyway we have already RED and WHITE so may be nice another " color industrially feasible " I know about Black,Purple ,Yellow and Blue. Anyone knows of other solder resist color? Nils any suggestion about ?

      no, but if someone has, it would be interesting to know if they accept plugins that is obtained from hmm... online dealers :D I have been wondering about these myself :)

    I bought 25LC for a mistake when I built the sequencer 3... It did not work but I did not ask why . As I stuffed the 24LC the sequencer started to see the banksticks.

    Hi, There are no restrictions regarding use of positive or negative LCD with Midibox projects You have only to be careful with the pinout of the device. Positive ( dark character on light field ) Negative ( light character on dark field ) Regards Antix P.S. Please do not care the " SERIAL " displayed on the negative one Just take it only as an example image.

      the shafts of the pots are too short so no counterpanel for 9090.

      Fortunately the knobs cover the hex nuts.

    Hi Arkay, I'm sorry if I'm banal but I experimented a similar crap on my second MBSid. I just forget to stuff the pullup resistor of the HC165 on the DIN. So I would ask you: do you have right stuffed the resistor arrays in the DIN zone? Best regards Antonio

    Probably the fan is not really necessary but the heatsink surely helps to maintain at low the temperature of the SIDs. 6581 gets very hot especially in the center so , I think , it is better to use heatsinks. ...hoping it helps to give it long life

      Testing the switches with a multimeter I am seeing how they do not make contact anymore ... they have become like resistors...after 25 years :)

      Sounds like fun :) I´ve got a 10 years old Roland Vsynth here, which i really love, but a few interface tactile switches are also beginning to fail - as well as the LCD backlight sometimes stays off (CCFL based?)... Hope there is replacement parts to be found somewhere :) - anyways, the D50 is an awesome synth, never part with it ! :)

      old gears may give these craps.

      My S1100 LCD is very dark .I read that it is a common defect on old Akai and on Ebay I found a backlight replacement.

      I hope it will works.

      I think you can find something like in the net.
