  1. @tedysuwarnady sorry, it does not work like this - we cannot understand your questions (the language) and always asking for pcb files in multiple, also some very old threads will only put you on the ignore list of many users here! The MBNG as well as the SCS is excellently documented on ucapps.de - have you read the documentation there? Many people have successfully built it and have no problems whatsoever. If you have problems, please describe exactly what you have done, that you have followed the instructions on ucapps.de and where you have experienced an unsolvable problem. Please always double-check the language before posting, so that we can actually understand where the problem is, only then we can help you! In short: * If you have troubleshooting questions, please do post in the "testing/troubleshooting" section of the forum * Please open a new thread there for each new and valid problem with a meaningful title * Please refrain from asking for PCB files in random threads Thanks and have a great weekend!

    LoopA in Action

@jojjelito Thanks, J! :) You now only need a Moroder-Mustache, have it play back some italian synthpop loops on one of your analogs and it should perfectly fit the cliché! :-D
  3. ...or the photos were made from the first "legit" PCBs used for cloning... :)
  4. Regarding the feature, of course TK. needs to answer to it, but methinks, that the SEQv4 internal note storage is organized as classic MIDI notes (0-127). Thus, allowing for microtonality would require a few extensive changes to the SEQ... I.e. to allow to enter microtonal notes (using the encoders or a microtonal capable input device), the datastructures would need to be upgraded or a new "microtonal" tracktype be implemented, as well as the note data display and the playback engine (sending pitchbends with the notes) would need to be modified. TK. can tell you more, but i guess it would be quite some work. All of this is just an uneducated guess though! :) Many greets, Peter
  5. Thanks for the confirmation! Regarding the "Contact Us" form - hmmm, i tried it and it says "message sent to administrators", it seems to work if you are logged in as a user (without captcha) as well as a non-logged in user (captcha needs to be solved). Many greets, Peter
  6. These are probably fakes/clones, there have not been official kits available for a while now. Many greets, Peter
  7. Hm, it might be velocity related (keyboard sending velocity 48, the virtual keyboard sends 100): * which patch are you using on the SammichSID - can you try the init patch? * can you push a key "read hard" on the Photon? Which velocity do you get then? * can you remap the Photon velocity curve? Many greets and have a great sunday! Peter
  8. Nice job and great video documentation, well done! Many greets, Peter
  9. * Did you load the STM32F4 specific version of MB_NG? Other firmwares for other (older) cores might not work. * What are the startup messages in the MIOS Studio console? There should be some DEBUG output when starting MB_NG. * Do you have an SD card with any configuration files inserted?
  10. Ok, sendmail restarted, let's hope it works for longer this time - with a bit of luck the random stopping of the mail server should be adressed by a future update of the server OS. Many greets, Peter
  11. Thanks again for the notification! There seems to be an incompatibility with the captcha system that had been in use and the forum software - we have now changed to a different captcha system, that seems to work. It is not prettier, but was the only one available... :) Can you check again and see if it works? Many greets, Peter
  12. Thanks again, guys! @Antichambre: the software was mostly written in a few evenings - oldschool C is very refreshing, so not really work but pure bliss and enjoyment! Most of the engine is from TK., so that's where the grunt work is being made, just added a few bells&whistles as usual :). Yes, the piano is a classic piano (midified from yamaha, allows for silent playing and midi interfacing), 100% owned by the Nudelholz-swinging GF :). As a small kiddo i had to take a few years of classical piano training, did not enjoy it very much back then, now i am glad about it! Also, a hammer action keyboard at least for me feels much better than the very soft synth keys, but me cannot move the synths into the same room as the piano, otherwise, you know, i would feel the Nudelholz again, hehe! :-) Many greets, Peter
  13. Thanks guys, the compliments go all to Andy and TK., who did most of the work, i just connected the bits they produced :). We will keep you updated regarding further LoopA developments, build documentation and availability! Many greets, Peter

    LoopA Ports

Hi Bruno, Thanks! It was a design choice - we have multiple m2 inner "sandwich" screws which could have been used, but then there would have been holes in the precious frontpanel :). In general, it is stable enough, only minimal "bulge" at the middle. The inner PCB sandwich is fixed to the bottom acrylic plate with 7 m2 screws, so it stays in place firmly, no wobble when pushing in "tight" midi cables for example - the vertical walls next to the screws are necessary to avoid "overtightening" and bulge of the middle part, correct - but in general, as the unit is very small (only about 20cm horizontally from screw hole to screwhole) methinks it is sufficiently stable, as long as the inner sandwich is constructed to specs (max 32mm inner height). Many greets, Peter

    LoopA Ports

Thanks! :-) Yes, pedals (not yet supported in the current software) should be quite easily mappable to different functions like "arm" or "run/stop". The tilted orientation of the unit is of course optional, you can just remove the spacer and it sits flat on the table! But the rubber feet (Reichelt GF 2) will really hold it in place on various synths or if the stage is shaking :) Many greets! Peter
  17. Hola, (some edits made in Nov 2019 on launchday :) after about three four years in the pipeline, we are proud to announce the LoopA v2. Thanks to Andy, there are now PCBs - and we have also finished a DIY acrylic case. It is now publicly available in two variants, a caseless/barebones variant, and an acrylic case variant, over at the webshop on midiphy.com: https://www.midiphy.com/en/shop-details/139/69/caseless-loopa-essential-kit https://www.midiphy.com/en/shop-details/139/65/loopa-acrylic-case-essential-kit Also, Adrian Hallik from Hallik Engineering is working on a new metal case, which should be available in early 2020. You can easily transplant the caseless LoopA in any case. The LoopA will definitely not be a total beginner DIY project, as some SMD soldering and somewhat precise board interconnection work is needed, but a BOM and a full documentation about the build process are now released, so it should be doable :-). On the plus side you will receive a very compact unit (only 39mm height packing three stacked PCBs), a lot of MIDI interface functionality and a very responsive system that is designed to be "easy to use" and inspirational. Like not starting up your DAW and updating drivers but just sitting at your favourite synth and hacking in some lines! :) Here are the main features: * six polynote tracks linked to individual MIDI configurations * six scenes, allowing for a total of 36 in-memory MIDI clips * graphical note display on an OLED, that shows clip notes and also edit changes like transposition in realtime * four MIDI OUT ports, two MIDI IN ports, one OUT port is configured as an optional BLM expansion port (later) * non-step sequenced recording, clips can be dynamically requantized during live sessions * note-editor for fixing recording errors * transposition, scrolling and time-scaling of clips * disk operations (full recall), storage to SD card * BPM setting and MIDI sync from "upchain" devices like a master MBSEQ (and many more, see second section in the handbook) Here is a link to the user manual/the handbook: https://www.midiphy.com/files/468/midiphy_LoopA_manual_v205.pdf Here is a link to the current firmware - Version 2.05: https://www.midiphy.com/files/31d/LoopA_firmware_v205.zip Here are some photo session shots of the final unit in the case: Here is the final build video tutorial: Here is the "launch party" video showing a few features in a live context: And here is an introduction and "basic features" video: In this thread, we will also inform you about software updates (a few new features are planned in addition to what is already available) - if you want to give us some feedback, or have feature requests, please post them here. But: we might not implement everything, as the idea is to keep the functionality really "slim" for easy use - for everything else there is the bigger brother, the MBSEQ! :) BIG THANKS to TK. and Andy, it would have been impossible to do it without you guys! Many greets, Peter

  21. @tedysuwarnady Please don't crosspost to multiple threads (most of them were irrelevant to your problem) - had to hide your posts with the same pictures in many other threads that had nothing to do with display troubles... Also, posting a new problem to a four year old, basically closed thread made by someone else is NOT the way to go, best would have been to create a new topic in the "Troubleshooting forum section" with a meaningful title and a meaningful problem description, so that people can actually help you. But as it is already here... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To summarize: your 2x20 character display will work fine with MBSEQ but not with MBNG, where you are only seeing vertical bars?
  22. Just to make time shorter until everything is publicly available (and so that you can get some new pictures of the new SEQ): we will start a SEQv4+ photo build tutorial thread soon! Adrian is still working on the case, and we also still have a lot of (build) documentation and shop work to do. Fortunately it is still considered springtime until late June :). Many greets and enjoy the weekend! Peter
  23. Hi Bruno, Ah - very nice! Good song name, too! ;-) Let me guess the synths: Microwave: the whirly bell-like synth? EX-8000: starting at around 2:40? SH-09: Bass? Many greets, Peter
  24. Haha, thanks guys! Hopefully the Nudelholz swung by the angry gf will not hit my head again :) Andy: with the new case inbound (and hopefully working), i wanted the old and ugly frontpanel out of sight :). Many greets! Peter
