Futureman Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 Wooo. It has taken a fair bit of time just to finish off the timber work... mainly because of becoming a parent etc.. I'm happy with the end result. Thanks TK , Wilba & all.
jojjelito Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 Congrats on your SID-101! It's looking mighty fine!
flip Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 Niiice!! Congratulations! Do you have a bigger picture? It's hard to see everything on the one you posted.
rosch Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 great great work! are these 5mm LED's? i'm going to do the modulation matrix with those e-switch tact switches, instead of 6X6mm ones and i was wondering if the resulting greater distance of the led rows might reduce the perception as one unit. but that doesn't seem to be the case, judging from your panel. how big are these switches you used? beautiful!
m00dawg Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 Very nice! +1 I'm always impressed when someone is able to stick a keyboard on these and make it look pro and you sir, have done that. Solid work!
Futureman Posted June 20, 2011 Author Report Posted June 20, 2011 Yep.. 5mm LEDs. Nice and roomy. Those tact switches are 12mm x 12mm It's also got an internal SM power supply.. I'll upload a better pic later. Mike
Hawkeye Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 SID-elicious :-) Very very nice & MIDIbox of the Week request :-)
rosch Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 thanks for the confirmation about the switches!
nebula Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 (edited) Do you have a bigger picture? It's hard to see everything on the one you posted. It is pretty nice ... I'd like to see a nice 3/4 view - the offset in height kinda reminds me of the Sequential Multi-Trak/Max line of keyboards. I really like that low-profile design, and I don't think the pic is doing it justice! Edited June 20, 2011 by nebula
igi Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 Beautiful !!!! Do you use midi merger for midi input and keyboard??? really nice

arti492 Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 Oh, I was seriously considering it.. Seems like a good deal. Lol Sammich with simple cs?? I think your mbsid is mutch better than sammichSID.
m00dawg Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 I have a feeling he was still being sarcastic :)
Tonka Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 Are you joking, right?? Hehe - yeah, I was joking... (Unless Futureman really *was* considering a swap, in which case I was absolutely deadly serious)!!!
Futureman Posted June 22, 2011 Author Report Posted June 22, 2011 Beautiful !!!! Do you use midi merger for midi input and keyboard??? really nice Yea, I used a merge to merge input from the outside world & internal keyboard. Mike
HUROLURA Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 Congratulations, one of the smartest MIDIBOX inside keyboard I ever saw. +1 for MidiBox of the Week.

Futureman Posted June 22, 2011 Author Report Posted June 22, 2011 Thanks rosch! Here's the link: Cool. I had searched for that post as a reference, but couldn't find it . Was funny skimming through it again and seeing all the other possible designs and ideas. Regards. Mike
kogz23 Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 Wow! Very nice. Unfortunately I this trumps my SID for SID of the week!
