  1. Nice! Some info about the case would be great :)
  2. "Retr0bright" is bleach.... Didn't you read the thread?
  3. I can't see images on ImagesHack :( Offsito doco mutter mutter </broken record>

    seq v2.4d

Yeh it's pretty hard on an s2k ;) BTW that is automatically generated by selecting a group of wavs and a total keyrange, and the files are uploaded if necessary. The edits are done by sysex over SCSI so it all takes a matter of a few seconds. When I recommend nonfree software, you can be sure it's really good ;)
  5. 1* PIC18F core will do this fine: 64 pots 128 switches 128 LEDs No need for two cores or core32. Sorry for the english post :-[

    seq v2.4d

I'll try one more time.... Millenium NOT MESA. When you go find it you'll know why........
  7. Halfsteppers always do that shit when pedants make them look like the halfsteppers they are ;) Try bleaching your hair with chlorine bleach.... Or you can try chlorine bleach on your whites... and watch them wear out real fast! You've probably heard of peroxide bleach as simply "bleach" more times than you realise :) LMFAO :D Yes let's not get too distracted by the validity or otherwise, of claims of chemwizardry in finding out something that babyboomer parents have known for decades... This does the trick on ye olde c64's like crazy. We like that. Moving on! (fuck i wish I'd never made the joke... note to self: stop talking to people)
  8. MBNET is what MBSID cores use to talk... it's very active :)
  9. Hydrogen peroxide is bleach. Look it up (I confirmed it before I made that wisecrack to avoid saying something stupid) ;) Maybe I'm unique in this, but my Mum taught me this trick when I was a young fella over 15 years ago......
  10. What's wrong with the existing MIOS solution?
  11. Just use a 4685 and MBNET. All you need to tink about is the transciever ICs. As for planning around unreleased hardware: as soon as we know a fixed date, so will everyone else.
  12. Hehehe NEWFLASH!!! BLEACH TURNS STUFF WHITE! MIRACLE CHEMISTRY! :D Sorry I couldn't help it!
  13. I could bear to part with one of my datacorders if you get desperate enough to pay shipping from AU ;)

    seq v2.4d

Do yourself a favour, get a SCSI card and a copy of millenium (not MESA) to edit and upload samples. That whole exercise would have been a few mouse clicks ;) A SCSI drive (zip is handy) is also a wise move. Join the mailing list at yahoo too, or at least read it.
  15. He lives! :D hahahha Mate I think I can safely speak for most people around here when I say there is no resentment held towards you. Perhaps a little disappointment that your box never reached it's full potential, but nothing to be sorry for :) Anyways all that crap aside it's good to see you putting the MB to good use :) Thanks for keeping us posted!
  16. The new core will be ready when it's ready. Don't get too swept up in the rumour mill eh? ;) And it'll be the same deal as before electronically (Wired-AND), so you won't gain any advantage there anyway. SPI would be worse. A PC does not need to be big or clunky or sensitive, think about an Asus EEE-PC just to name one premade example, it's not much bigger than a core+DOUT anyway... Anyhow I would not want to discourage some experimentation with CAN transceivers, so go for it!
  17. Sadly, just the one lot. Or I'd be taking some myself ;)
  18. I only said "quick" because I didn't wanna be annoying :) Feel free to discuss at will. Yaknow what? I totally agree. I guess that the middle line of the staff is indeed often utilised as vincula and that's a bit sloppy. Nonetheless it is a fraction, so numerator and denominator are correct... It's the omission of vinculum that is the erroneous component there. FWIW I've got sheet music from the 40's with fractions expressed as diagonally imposed numerator and denominator and a solidus like 3/4... but that's hand-written....
  19. If you really think you've got some ground-breaking idea which you'd like to keep secret because it could be taken by commercial companies, but would like some help, come and chat with me. We'll see where it goes from there. Keep in mind, once you build it, it will have to be open-sourced, and obviously it will be shared with the rest of he community, so others could still copy your idea.
  20. Welcome aboard mate. Yeh 100m is way past what a DOUT will handle, anything >1m unshielded and maybe a bit more with shielding, is unlikely to behave. Honestly 100m is a long way (that's 300ft for you 'merkans) and if it were me, I'd be looking at a PC+midi interface at either end sending midi over ethernet. Otherwise, you're up for some serious DIY fun as per Lyle's post.
  21. That is incorrect, it is not called the meter. I think you misread my last post ;) The time signature is a way of writing down on paper, a description of the meter - the meter is something you hear (or technically, you perceive it with your brain after you hear it) . You can't see it. Time signature is also supposedly known as the meter signature (although I've never heard anyone saying that ever) My original question was, what are the formal names for the two (or sometimes more) numbers that make up a time signature. In fact, that question is erroneous, because a time signature does not necessarily constitute two (or more) numbers in fractional form. It can, and usually does (like 4/4), but it is not something one can assume. There are other ways of notating meter (a very common example being the letter 'c' which denotes 'common time' or 4/4, various less common examples can be seen on wikipedia or google around) so one cannot assume that a time signature will be a fraction. If however the time signature which is used to denote meter, is represented as a fraction, then the formal names for the numbers which constitute the fraction are the same as for any other fraction used for any other purpose - numerator and denominator. I've been writing my sequencer from a mathematical perspective (as I do with all my music) so I've been using numerator/denominator already, but when it came to writing menus, i wanted to use the musical terminology rather than the mathematical... Turns out that they're the same after all, and I was searching for an answer I already had :)
  22. It's very rare that it's needed, so misc does the trick. I think the guys have covered all your other questions :)
  23. Don't worry bout forum status it doesn't mean squat. It's just matched to postcount, which is only a representation of how long you have been here and how much you talk. There are lots of gurus around here with "Newbie" under their name. There are a couple of newbies with guru under their name too (points at self) Don't pay any attention to it! As for the issue at hand: Figure out which button numbers you are trying to change, and move on from there, working backwards in he code to get to the part you want to change....
