  1. Very nice work and beautiful boards! But I can't suppress the comment, that i find "LEDs for indicating direction of difference between virtual and real position of fader. " a little bit stone age. I remember the time almost 20 years ago, when I had to work on VCA controlled desks which all had this "direction thingy" and it was a pain in the a.. to work with it. But again: Great work... and everybody has his own taste in intuitive features. Greets, Roger
  2. ... isn't it Friday today ;)? A Teletubby with Jason's mask? ;D
  3. ... that's the thing with the taste. - I hate the HD25 (sound wise) and they hurt my ears (physically). The only "plus" I can give them, is that they are isolating pretty well from surrounding noise. ... I know exactly what you meant, Simone. The thread just tended to turn into: "all AKG phones suck". That's why I tryed to relevate it a bit. ... that's where my experience stops. The only portables I know, are the already mentioned HD25 (the one we had at the broadcast station, I was working for, for field recording) and the portable I own, the SONY MDR-7509 (I think mine is the older model, something like MDR-7500). I love the SONY specially for FOH jobs, because it's very loud compared to the AKGs, which have a very high impedance. Greets, Roger
  4. ... yes indeed! - Too bad you can't see the tubes glow :D Nice work. Greets, Roger
  5. Headphones are a pretty similar thing like studio monitors... some like this one and some like the other one. But you would never compare e.g. ADAM's cheap line with their expensive pro-line. So if you want SOUND from a headphone, take the right reference. Example for AKG closed: http://www.akg.com/personal/cproducts/powerslave,id,250,pcategory,6,nodeid,11,_language,DE.html Example for AKG open: http://www.akg.com/personal/cproducts/powerslave,id,911,pcategory,3,nodeid,11,_language,DE.html ... I like them both very much Greets, Roger
  6. ... I don't think they have enough for bulk. In the Mail they sent me, I read somwhere like "only 84 pcs left" (can't remember of which colour) Greets, Roger
  7. ... to get the quadrature, you need two sensors. Either in one housing or separated. Greets, Roger
  8. ... I ordered them, when they were already on sale but not dirt cheap like this :(. Since I wasn't shure which number for which switch, I E-Mailed them with the picture attached, on which I marked the type I wanted. Greets, Roger
  9. well, if you'll take 100 switches, that still sounds cheep to me.
  10. ... yes you can do this. JLCooper JogWheels are done like this. Did you study the datasheet of the optical encoder you're using? The way you write this, makes me suspect, that you just want to print 360 lines on the foil-disc. I hope you are aware of the fact, that you have to "build" the quadrature with your lines and spaces. Greets, Roger
  11. ... just received this link from Rapid http://www.rapidonline.com/productinfo.aspx?&tier1=Electronic+Components&tier2=Switches&tier3=Keyboard+Switches&tier4=Non-RoHS+Illuminated+PCB+keyboard+switches&moduleno=77016&catref=77-3131 Greets, Roger
  12. ... old mice are a good source, while a.f.a.I.k from inkjet printers you mostly have only single "light barriers" which would make it pretty hard by using two of those and getting a proper quadrature. Greets, Roger Edit: http://www.alliedelec.com/Images/Products/Datasheets/BM/HONEYWELL_OPTO_PRODUCTS/Honeywell-Opto-Products_Actives-and-Passives_2760060.pdf
  13. ... so where is the feature implemented? In the host (nuendo) or in MIOS? Greets, Roger Edit: No one? Doc, MTE... it sounded pretty clear to you two, so I think you have the answer...?
  14. ... sorry for the typo: length http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php/topic,4099.0.html Greets, Roger
  15. ... you should draw the circuit with the used parts and all the power ratings of the PSU and post it. Greats, Roger
  16. No, it's no problem. You can connect your switches on whatever DINput you want, you don't have to fill up the "gaps". But... why would you want that? Is my guess correct, that you want to devide the switches into two different physical areas? If yes, please be aware that the cable lenght is not unlimited. Search the forum for "cable lenght". Greets, Roger
  17. I think you're the cyber-cop, generating the E-Mails and all your posts are just random pre-programmed interactions ;D
  18. I knew it!... It has nothing to do with the server. Twinny does that from time to time out of purpos. It's THE ADDICTION TEST. Everbody who was answering in this thread shows strong addiction to the MidiBox-drug and will get an automatic generated PM with information about this drug and warnings about possible bad consequences for your love-live and other relationships (... loosing friends...) ;D
  19. ... please use the EDIT feature in future and extend the first posting, if no one posted an answer already. Thank you Roger
  20. ... specially if your display shows 12:58:46:17 and people think it's the number of satisfied visitors :P
  21. ... beautiful! ... and now tell me, where you got those displays from, for a reasonable price. :o Greets, Roger
  22. ... publish this paper so one can study it an give you answers. Greets, Roger PS: First study the MackieControl protocol and then you will see pretty quick, where the limits are.

  24. If you buy them from a supply store, why do you go for 60mm? Believe me, you won't be satisfied. Greets, Roger
