  1. Same as SD on core8.... 1) Up to 4G (32bit addressing) if I remember right? I dunno, a lot. If the card's too big, it'll just not all be used. Straight answer: more space than you need to worry about :) 2) push/push is the higher quality type. Either will work. 3) Either. 4) Don't be shy with the solder on the earth pins or the mounting screws. 5) Lots of places have them. Prices range from $5 to $35. Happy bargain hunting!
  2. That password is incorrect. nILS is spelled with a capital S.
  3. Wow nice! errr... Cest bon! ? My French sucks!
  4. I know you're desperate... but crossposting is not cool. I know, you get more attention by starting a new thread.... what this equates to, is cluttering up the forum to try and solve your problems... ie, laying your troubles on us all. That's not very nice. I won't merge them this time because I know you're in a sticky spot, and I want to help, but next time, help us to help you, by not trashing our pad. Googling "netiquette" will get you some good tips :D I think I've done my homework... Anyway, I assume you emailed those manufacturer/distributors we saw on google? and you've gone about 10000 google searches since then, found a bunch more, called or emailed, and got responses from them all, giving you all the distributors locally and internationally, and you've also emailed them and waited for responses, and found out all of their retailers and called/emailed them and waited for responses too? Well, We know they haven't replied that fast......... Maybe you haven't even mailed them all yet ... I know it sounds like a total pain in the ass that will take forever... that's because it is :( Unfortunately parts-hunting can (often) be like that..... If all of those methods fail to find you a low MOQ, you could always try a bulk order :)
  5. Funny, someone had a burner issue last night in the chat, and the first hardware thing I blamed: the cable. It's often a failing point. Glad it's sorted :D
  6. Man there are some awesome toys on this forum this weekend! Nice work dude!! I like all the same panel stuff as everyone else. Standout work :)
  7. Brilliant :) Reminds me of the chupa chup midibox. Nostalgia in a can... The question is.... How did you get the empty can? Did you eat all that dicke? Hehehe sorry, someone had to make the joke.
  8. Holy crap nils you ripped it up! nice :D
  9. Whatta ya mean? it's Spring and Autumn in the Eastern hemisphere.
  10. Hey Italian midiboxers, I just heard about the earthquakes there, hope all's well for you and yours. Please let us know if there's anything we can do for you.
  11. be aware, the :home: namespace is part of the new wiki layout we are begging for volunteers to copy/paste to, and is not part of the live wiki.
  12. Great news :) You could probably compile a special version of MIOS just for that chip, and change the define to use a different pin which is otherwise unused... Would be a bit of a hack though.
  13. Nope :) Just keep the encoders first connection on even numbered pins and you're set (ie, pin 0+1 is good, pin 1+2 is bad). It's probably best practice to put all your encoders first, then your switches... As for the other stuff, it's really up to you...
  14. Amen to that. Maybe kinda possibly if you don't use much stuff and you've rehearsed it to death and have a fully redundant cluster (that's $20000 at least) .... or a crowd that doesn't mind silence for a few minutes during a reboot... ... or you are a ground-rush addict who enjoys the risk :D
  15. Thanks silicium :) Those changes are long-since lost by now, I'll do it again and post the hex file... Should be up some time in the next 24 hours or so.
  16. gday glitched, It's nice of you to try to consider he forum but ... Offsite documentation is bad </broken record> Better to put the pix here and keep the conversation here. Helps for others to have a reference in future.
  17. Sorry to go slightly OT here but it seems worth a mention... When I read that line by TK, I did think to myself: in all fairness, Wilba is a geek before a musician, so maybe he can't do mental 1khz recognition... And then I thought, yaknow, a lot of people would be in that boat; not knowing what 1khz should sound like... Maybe it's worth putting a recording of a correct testtone in the zip with the testtone app, for users to have as a reference? </hijack>
  18. Sweet as. I got some nice ones off ebay too, but in the end those sony sticks are about as good as they come... easy to find, cheap as chips, work like a charm...
  19. Welcome aboard! :) Wise!! 1) Well, the AINs are also (optionally) missing... Really the only thing they have in common is the core module and LCD... the rest is as-per your design. 2) correct 3) correct 4) correct 5) schematics on ucapps.de 6) what's your budget? I'd say use all milspec components, but you can prepare for an instant 10* pricetag if you do that. 7) not that I know of.... tried alps' and bourne's catalogues? How about google, first hit looks good: http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&as_q=20mm+detent+slide+pot
  20. Yeh, what the hell? It's not fair to treat me like I'm some asshole who tears people up for no reason. Political correctness has gone *way* out of control, when you can't be honest with people (even if it causes them discomfort) without being treated like you'll go nuts for no reason. Are we trying to build a planet full of passive-aggressive fools who are so busy trying to keep the peace that they fear telling someone their ass is on fire? Seriously, if you are respectful to all, and you can hear cold hard facts without shooting the messenger, you have nothing to worry about from me. People who have beef with me or my methods, invariably lack one or both of these qualities. Aside from that mistreatment, there's only one thing wrong with this post: that it should be in miscellaneous because it's off topic. So I'll move it... big deal!
