  1. Four word tags like "goto80 sid chip rock" don't really work out ;-)
  2. ki-aaiiiiiiiiii? Erm, yes, um: Ki-aaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii! [me=nILS Podewski]runs off to the hills kicking and screaming[/me]
  3. Files are updated and commited to the SVN. Let's hope I didn't screw anything up :-)
  4. Got mine some time between Thursday and today ;D Thanks Prof!
  5. It is a known issue. You can use any other application capable of sending mod wheel data though.
  6. Hiya Dave, welcome aboard! I don't know the answers to all of you questions, but I'll try to answer the ones I know the answers to ;-) Yes. There are some threads about this topic somewhere. Hopefully someone can answer that question. 4 DINx4 boards will give you 4 * 32 = 128 digital inputs. How many do you need? I am pretty sure this would work, but I doubt it'll be necessary. The Core can handle up to 8 analog inputs w/o the need of an AIN board. So if 128 digital inputs is enough, you're all good. If not, it might be preferable to hook up a part of the digital inputs as a matrix. Yes. Yes. 2x16 should do for most test purposes. IMHO Bigger is better though. Debugging is simply more fun with a bigger display ;) Yes and No. This really depends on the pinout of your LCD, in most (all?) cases you'll need to wire one side (usually the LCD side) manually. I hope that helps, nILS
  7. An example of Ground Loop vs. No Ground Loop can be found in the attached picture. Notice that the wiring is rather random and neither complete nor necessarily correct. It's just there to illustrate how to (not) wire your ground connections.
  8. Don't worry about the curse - you can just go back and delete the posts from 2007 as well ;)
  9. I bought an ERSA 15W cheapo soldering iron about 6 years ago and it works really nice for me - I never had any problems with SMT parts or anything. Fits into any budget, too :-) I think I paid ~15€ back then.
  10. #define Default_J5_Function 0 is located directly in the setup_*.asm files. Now guess where the CS_MENU_DOUT_TABLE is :-) Exactly. The documentation in the setup_*.asm files is outdated indeed. I noticed that a while back, but forgot to notify someone or change it in the repository myself. Shame on me.
  11. Search for AUAIMBCTG :-)
  12. Who would do such a thing ;-) Sorry, I totally forgot to post that in here after mentioning it in the chat...
  13. Where's my PCB dammit?! ;D
  14. Double Post Alert! This is the latest version. Comments, suggestions and corrections are highly welcome :-) swinsid_0-9.zip

    Bassline Demo #5

Nice, with 4 line LCD support ;-) Sounds great!
  16. I'll upload the latest (untested and unverified) version tonight, when I get home!
  17. You get a sticky pic. If you use that PIC in an mbSID the sound gets a lot sweeter.
  18. I knew I was gonna have problems with that thing ;-)
  19. "Samsemillia am Mikrofon ich repräsentier das Team, egal wen, alle MCs die da steh'n..." ;-) 1) The letters on the caps are the tolerance (and voltage rating). 5% in this case: http://www.arar93.dsl.pipex.com/mds975/Content/components01.html 2) Capacitor value "code" works like this: the 1st number is the 1st digit, the 2nd number is the 2nd digit, the 3rd number is the number of zeros to give the capacitance in pF. See http://www.kpsec.freeuk.com/components/capac.htm 3) Capacitor values are always given in Farads ;-) Or µ-Farads, or pic-Farads, ... but always in Farads.
  20. 1) Did you hook up one LCD at a time? Always test *one* thing at a time. 2) "mios bootstrap loader ready......" Does that mean the 2x20 worked? 3) If the ones with the switches aren't any more expensive I'd get those. You never know - might come in handy (slow/fast mode, instant shift function, ...)
  21. [me=nILS Podewski]orders one[/me] When's the foolproof docu gonna be available? ;D
  22. I'm really sorry, it's all my fault you guys. Ultra told me that he was holding *all* the PCBs on purpose just so that *I* can't finish my school project which is due Monday. He wants *me* to get a bad grade. I'm sorry. Don't blame ultra for taking so incredibly long. It's all my fault, cause ultra hates me. ;D
  23. Nice :-) Now let's see it do some panels ;D
  24. As this is going of topic anyways - nice new avatar cimo :-)
