" Hmm yes actualy on the 2 chips i have left "data protect" is enabled and erasing it does not work. Perhaps i should measure the vdd if its suffiecient? Cheers Tim
  2. The Second method follows the normal Microchip Programming mode entry of holding pins RB6 and RB7 low, while raising the MCLR pin from VIL to VIHHb(13V ± 0.5V). MCLR that is pin 4 so i guess i should apply 13.1v there and use 10k from pin4 to pin5 to get 5v there?
  3. Hi Yogi, thanks for your reply. I am pretty sure the picket can deliver not more then 12v vpp which is not enought to get the 16f88 in programmin mode. Hmmm will read your link first Cheers
  4. I am trying to program a bunch of pic16f88's using a picket2 clone and the windows picket software (PICkit 2 v2.61).. Just connecting the pic and detecting it does not seem to be a problem But apply-ing +13.1v killed 2 pic's and a programmer :(( Ok I am aware I am a noob but I did not expect this to be so difficult. Could any one give me some hint what I am doing wrong? Picket icsp header 16F88 pin Powersuppy 1 vpp 4 2 vdd 14 +13.1V 3 GND/vss 5 - 4 PGD/DAT 13 5 PGC/CLK 12 6 Aux / NC Then I got a 10k resistor between 16F88 pin 4 and 5. +13.1V (Vdd) applied to 16F88 pin 14 and the negative to GND 16F88 pin 5 I do not have anything else connected (no crystal ed) The software is set to not power the target pic of course. Now after applying the voltage my programmer was dead and 2 pic's are not detected at all anymore. So I still have 2 working pics and another picket2 clone to give it a try.   7. This dac am able to solder its SOIC. Is MSSOP much smaller. If so I think it might be to difficult for me.

  9. Hi I am interested, also in the panel. What is the estimated parts price? Would it be possible soldering this parts using a normal soldering iron? I already build the aout-ng without issues.
  10. Did you ever manage to flash with pk2cmd ? I bought an picket 2 clone and also tried flashing in debian but no good results. Anyhow many usefull hints here which might help.. Cheers Tim

  14. Hi Guys, what do do you guys think about assigning a unique groove on a per track basis (already how it works now) and enable global groove per track. You just select if a track should be assigned to the global groove. Like this every track has his own and shared groove. Very much how the groove mixer in Reason 5 worked, I think this is more effective than shuffeling all tracks
  15. Hi Tashikoma, Cool project, its on my wishlist for a while. For more info on this you could check on the highly liquid forum. lots of stuff on howto drive solenoids. The rolling thing sounds good do you have some solution on implementing some kind of velocity control? to me this is a hard nut to crack. Btw i bought th e midiwidget form highly liquid for this.   17. I don't know which stage this project is in. But I am interested. Located in Czech Republic. I like the idea of the slope a lot but a flat design with some higher rubbers in the back thean on the front bottom plate will also work.
  18. Who can help me with programming 4 16f88 pics? I need the IIC frimware for 3x out 1x in flashed to the PIC's but i don't have a programmer.   19. "the panel controls(?)" are not talking midi i think but spi or ic2 or something like that. The BLM talks midi. I know that it's possible to control many features of the midibox seq via a keyboard. So i would look that up and see what you can do with that. There is an virtual midibox available. for just try-ing

Hi Hawkeye, Thanks a lot for this great howto. i would like to request on edit: The 10 pin socket is soldered mirrored on the wilba pcb, this means if you make a flatcable the right way that it won't work. So the socket should be connected 180 degrees flipped if you solder it on the back. Or maybe i am wrong... one question obout the flipped LED, i didn't flip it and it works.. how can this be possible? should i still flip it? Anyway you howto is verymuch appriciated, thansk a mil :)
  21. i found out that pin 9 is indeed connected to GND. Still via MIOS studio i am not able to mount the sdcard. My sdcard is 2GB formated with FAT32. Could it be that the card works but only not via MIOS studio? If fully checked the coreboard and there arn't any mistakes to be found. Any how i ordered a new sdcard socket as i thought it might be faulty i removed it, during that i found out it was 100% ok :( If you only have the coreboard and stm32f4 can you access the SDcard via mios studio?
  22. I have a hard time accesing the sd card via MIOS. Does access to the SD card work via MIOS studio when only the coreboard and STM32F4Discovery and SDcard are connected? All pins are connected ok. 9 NC 1 PB2 2 PA7 3 GND 4 VDD 3v 5 PA5 6 GND 7 PA6 8 NC SD cards Shield connected to GND When connected to micro usb LD1 is blinking. When ejecting or inserting the SD card nothing hapens. 3 v is available on pin 4 and 2 data lines The correct IC's in the sockets, the resistor network connect with common pin on 1. After flashing the seq4 app should some jumpers be removed?

  24. Hi Thorsten, You are absolutly right that I am not aware of the MIDIBOX capabilies. In fact i just have all the parts minus displays and midi terminals at home to start my first build Seq4 + aout_NG 6x out 2x in. My idea was already from the start to sync the MC303 with the midibox. The video youre showing was my first encounter with the Midbox sequencer and after being in love for 1 year i finally hit on her :smile: I also agree that every approach limits in one area and open possibilties in another area, i guess its time form me to get my build working and spend lots of hours with it.   25. Hi Thorsten, Great to see the development you did so far on the arpegiator, note repeat. As i mentioned before Roland did a very good job in implementing an arpegiator in the MC 303, 505. If you think it might be interesting I can send you a MC303, you can keep it after. I own 2 of them mainly for the arpegiator, sequencer and groove templates (one is a backup). I also like the idea of pattern triggering and transposing but if you understand the concept of the arp in the mc303 it opens up new possibilties. Let me tell a bit about the arp's implementation, you can change a total of 6 parameters + the selected style 1 the arpegio style (the most importtant one: 1/4, 1/6, 1/8, 1/12. 1/16, 1/32, Portamento, Glissando, Sequence A, Sequence B, Sequence C, ECHO, SYNBAS, Heavy Slap, Light Slap, Walk Bass, RYTHMGTR 1-5, 3FINGER, STRUMMING Guitar, PIANO BACKING, CLAVICHORD, Waltz, Swing Waltz, REGGAE, Percussion, Harp, SHAMISEN, BOUNCING BALL, RANDOM, LIMMITLESS 2. the note lenght, 3. accent rate 4. octave range 5. Motif ( This determins the Sequence of notes of a the played Chord ) 6 Beat Pattern ( this changes the location of accents and lenght of notes ) 7 Shufflerate (ammount of shuffle ) See the manual here http://media.rolandus.com/manuals/MC-303_OM.pdf For example if you select the 1/16 style you can change: Motif: order of the notes if a chord is played, up, down, Chord repeat. random etc. Beatpattern: different accents Shufflerate: Add some shuffle The start of the arp is also linked to the global song quantize if this is enabled. I use it a lot to record beats very quickly. Or create nice harmonies, basslines. Guitar strumming effects, bouncing ball etc also great on beats. So let me know if you are interested and i can send you one of my MC303's, will be great if i don't have to use it anymore because the MIDIBOSS can do it :)
