  1. I am not sure it is a good idea to do DRC before you know exactly that your schematics are correct...
  2. There is no EU distributor. Tim aka SmashTV is handling all requests through his online shop. He might be a little slow right now because his town was hit by a tornado a few weeks ago, and he might be busy with more important things right now. However, I am confident that he will be back to normal mode pretty soon.
  3. Fantastic job - and thanks for your kind words! Best, ilmenator
  4. Ok, then it's yours! I'll send a PM for the dirty details. Thanks!
  5. Don't stress yourself  . If you take it I'll even throw in an AES808 8-channel AES/EBU interface card with a 19" breakout / connector box for the cost of sending a second parcel to you (140?). It's never been used and has been sitting in its packaging ever since I bought it new, shortly after I bought the mixer second hand.
  6. I am not particularly sure that you got your math right!. In terms of cost the MIDIALF is probably located between the V4 and the V4L. Feature-wise it is probably similar. However, USD 50 is highly unrealistic (I'll buy 3 from you for that price...).
  7. Optical encoders are basically overkill in MIDIbox applications. If you want higher resolution you can go for a resolution of 30 (whatever unit you are refering to). Beyond that it starts to get impractical for various reasons - one is precision of the setting (it is difficult for your hand and brain to adapt to such high resolutions), another is scan frequency through a chain of shift registers. Debouncing is done in software and not through the 10k resistors. These are pull-ups. Of course you can insert an arbitrary value there, but you might want to keep in mind Ohm's law and make sure your circuit does not eat up too much power... 10k is a common value.
  8. Sure. I just switched it on again to see if it boots up immediately - and yes, it does. So I don't know what was wrong when I took it out of storage and it would take some time. I guess I shouldn't have mentioned it in order to not worry anyone... This desk does not sound in itself. It does not add coloration, and obviously also no "warmth" or whatever you'd call "positive" distortion. It just does its job. In that respect it is quite boring, but then it surely does not sound horrible! Obviously, the mic preamps are not much to speak of, but they are still decent, and in my scenario they were simply not used. Plus, the desk is really easy to handle - compared to the Yamahas I'd prefer this user interface any day. I'd say it's a steal at this price, and maybe I should just keep it as a submixer (and hide it somewhere from the lady... ). Well, if you told me before the weekend that would be perfect, Monday morning is the latest I can send this off within Norway.
  9. Hei, if you take my DDX then you get an EQ in each channel ;-)
  10. Glad someone finally woke us up from the dead  :cheer: !
  11. Well, say 2500 NOK plus whatever it costs to get this to Vigrestad? I think it is slightly over 10kg (I'd use a wooden frame for sending this safely) so shipping is 250 NOK. Oh, screw it, for 2600 NOK incl. shipping it is yours. I really need to downsize my lair.
  12. Hi, up for sale is my Behringer DDX3216 mixing desk. It has not been used in a loong time, so I guess it makes sense to just let it go. It has seen some light use, see the images, but is missing the red translucent plastic cover on the LED ring in the Master channel. This is purely cosmetical, and the LED ring works as it should. I know people are usually not very fond of Behringer equipment, but this mixer is actually quite a bang for the buck. There was a review in one of the German studio magazines when it came out, with measurements taken by Anselm Goertz, Germany's 'Audiomesspapst' (audio measurement pope - can't translate that literally but doing so anyways for your entertainment), and indicating that the technical specs of this desk are actually superb. When I switched this on for testing after a very long time today it needed about ten seconds before the screen came on - I don't remember this as being normal. However, with subsequent bootings it was on immediately, so maybe this is an indicator of capacitors in the power supply starting to fail?? As I said, it works as it should and if I had some more time I'd look into recapping the desk myself - or maybe, there is no need to do anything at all, I don't know. As it is, I am traveling to Germany next week June 24 and I don't really have the time... If you want it, I'll take it with me. Asking price is 350,- Euros, or make me an offer. Else it goes on Ebay, but I'd rather avoid their steep fees, so talk to me  . Best, ilmenator
  13. Seriously, I think you need a SEQ V4. Unfortunately, I am located at the far end of Europe (Norway), otherwise I would seriously consider building you one to your specs. Good luck! ilmenator
  14. Hi, here goes my Ambika fully loaded with 3x SVF and 3x 4P voice cards. I have modified it to sport the Marquardt switches that have a far better tactile feedback compared to the standard clicky tact switches (Oberheim XPander style). Obviously, the case is a custom one, too. No volume pot for better looks, but has a power switch. Extra sturdy due to four additional struts in the center area of the front panel that go through the whole unit. Asking 830,- Euros for this, including power supply - newly built. I can send this from Germany for extra cheap shipping in about one week, will be traveling there. PM me with any questions! Best, ilmenator
  15. The holes are plated through, so drilling is not the first choice as you might damage the plating. In that case you must solder the part from both sides, top and bottom, and that way create a good connection between top and bottom side of the PCB. You would normally use desoldering wick or braid, a thin copper netting that you press against the solder you want to remove and that "sucks out" the solder from the hole when heated.
  16. They must be removed and new ones must be set in correctly. Cut all the legs, remove the part, and then desolder the legs one by one. The part is so cheap it does not make sense to risk the board by trying to salvage it.
  17. Have you tried looking at the config file on the SD card? A LOT of functionality can be changed there, maybe this is already enough for what you want to achieve?
  18. Hi, I recently purchased a second Sony DMX-R100 for extension cards. I removed the cards to go into my own desk and have this one up for sale. Sony dropped the pro audio market a few years ago, but this desk is still top notch - it is the Oxford's small brother and features excellent mic pre-amps as well as one of the best sounding EQs you'll find in a digital mixer regardless of price tag. And yes, this is not just my personal opinion :phone: . 12 mic inputs and 24 line ins, 8 buses, 12 inserts, 8 aux sends and returns, 6 monitor outs for surround monitoring, 88.2 / 96kHz capable, etc. pp. It also has 9-pin Machine control and MIDI. No fan - this desk is convection cooled and silent! Can be extended to up to 48 full parallel input channels via optional cards. This particular desk has seen a bit of rock'n'roll, but is in excellent technical condition. It has been regularly serviced by a technician in Oslo, as it was used in a band rehearsal facility's recording studio. All faders are running smooth and the touch screen is working as it should (but you can also connect mouse and external monitor to the desk). There is a slight scuff on the lower center of the touchscreen, just where the virtual "CUE" button is located - this is cosmetic only and does not affect the touch functionality at all. Also, there are two major "wear areas" on the desk itself where the paint is gone, see the pictures attached. There is a little crack in the perspex covering the meter bridge - obviously, this does not affect the meters and is not visible when the LED bars are on. I can remove the paper stickers if you want. It does neither smell smoke nor beer . It is still one of the best sounding desks around. I'd keep this for spares should my other one ever give up (very unlikely, though) but my wife says it is too much... I am originally located in Norway, but will be traveling to Germany in about two weeks from now. I'll drive through Denmark from Hirtshals down to Flensburg, mit weiteren Stationen in Reinbek, Herten, Erfurt, Lörrach und Selb, also durch die halbe Republik. Für einen Versand ist das Pult leider etwas zu schwer (55kg) und groß, es sei denn, ihr organisiert Abholung in Selb selbst. Fragen gerne auch auf deutsch! Best regards, ilmenator PS: The desk is sold now, thanks for your interest.
  19. I'm in / near Trondheim, I can also help you to build one. No fee here either. :phone: Oh, but reading your post again, it sounds like you are moving away from Norway? Where to?
  20. What Hawkeye says. However, if you really don't dare to start building one yourself it would help if you told us where you are located.
  21. Yes - but then you know that already :phone:
  22. Great (snippet of a) tune - RESPECT!
  23. The boards are all gone now.
  24. I can second that. I have the flexible ribbon cable in my machine, but it was a long and painful process. Things usually go wrong at the last lead in the ribbon cable, i.e. I broke a lot of wires when trying to remove the insulation of the last lead in the ribbon cable...
