  1. Nothing about this in the Sale Requests forum..... C_04 are you aware of our license requirements?
  2. Local copy of the file linked above (post-dropbox document preservation) mbhp_lcd_ssd1306_multiple-schematic_mios32.pdf
  3. Hi *, Due to a large amount of spam bot registrations (avg. 1 per minute) and quite a few defaced wiki pages If you already have an account on the wiki no problem, nothing changes. If you need an account for the wiki (required to post or edit): 1. Make sure the email address associated with your forum account is correct/up to date - the server will send your password to this email. 2. Use the "Messenger" tool here on the forum to send me a private message..... "need wiki account", "can haz wiki ?" or anything similar will work. I do my best to generate accounts quickly but I do sleep so requests made after local bed time may take a few hours. As always let me know if you have any questions or issues. Best regards Tim
  4. Hi guys, I added a note about LED 31 orientation (twice + bold text) to the SEQ construction guide in the wiki. Best regards Tim
  5. Local copies I uploaded to the wiki: http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/lib/exe/fetch.php?media=mb-6582:mb-6582_base_pcb_r2_color.pdf http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/lib/exe/fetch.php?media=mb-6582:mb-6582_cs_pcb_r2_color.pdf Best regards Tim
  6. Hi Nick, Please check your inbox and spam folder..... I offered you a spare resistor network for the cost of shipping. Do you have a more reliable email than yahoo? Best regards Tim
  7. Thank you Esher! The email has exactly the info I was looking for - recent real experiences. With what you wrote and more digging I see important parts of the whole story missing from the articles: Russian Post publicly warned that customs inspection was not properly staffed/funded to handle growing parcel volume years before it was more than a seasonal problem. Part of the 500 tons of piled up mail was due to other countries continuing to send containers to Moscow despite being told to spread them across other major ports. The 500 tons was cleared quickly by moving it to other regions with customs inspection capacity. None of the "news" writes about good stuff/resolved issues since it does not generate ratings/hits/attention. Best regards Tim
  8. Hi Esher, Not cursed - but I am having trouble finding info about the current state of the postal service there. In March USPS and other shipping services were not accepting any parcels bound for Russia due to a 500 ton backlog of mail stuck at various transit points. If you have any reliable sources of information please share, all I have to go on are stories from many people still waiting on mail/parcels sent in November and links like: http://rt.com/news/russian-post-service-problems-942/ http://themoscownews.com/russia/20130514/191512157.html http://www.ridus.ru/news/85325/ which I do not automatically trust. I can definitely relate since the postal service here is slowly imploding in a different way. The guys who never received a reply were usually demanding to use a reversible payment method (ignoring the info on my site), or asking for a shipping quote without stating what they wanted shipped or giving a proper address for a quote, or asking for false value declaration. My apologies for the time it took me to reply..... I kept thinking I would dig up some new info that would verify that the situation has been fixed but found none. Your email on July 17th has been open on my desktop since the 18th with me trying to find any assurance that a parcel will not end up in a pile at the airport. I will send a shipping quote and payment info now via email. Best regards Tim
  9. Hi Cyril, I sent quick reply(s) to your emails and facebook message. Since losing messages is common with Yahoo and some of the other freemail services, I tried again via a different email account this morning, with no response. 15 days ago/"il y a 15 jours"? My paypal account: and email from you: show 3 days, not 15. Since I do not understand your intent with this false statement and my reply(s) to you remain unanswered, I will immediately issue a full refund/cancel the order so that you can make other arrangements. After a decade of doing this I know that communication problems cause anxiety and complicate even the smallest transaction. To the guys who are patiently waiting: I have not forgot about you. If you need more detailed info about an order than I have on my status page let me know, I will happily answer. If you do not see a reply within 24 hours, I either did not get the message or you did not get my reply. A forum private message avoids email issues. Tim
  10. I moved this thread to troubleshooting so we can get a few more eyes on the problem.... Sorry for the lack of reply to your last post, I am still having connection issues. I just noticed in your photo that the J4/Chip Select jumper is on position 1, default MIDIO128 expects this to be on position 2. Does the link LED pulse after moving the jumper? Does this include the link LED or is it pulsing? If the link LED is not pulsing this tells you that the Core is not controlling the shift register (IC2). The MIDIO128 app will cycle the link LED when it is running. No pulsing link LED = safe to assume the board is also not cycling through inputs on the mux chips (4051s). No. IC1:pin1:CH0=J13, J6 is IC1:pin8:CH7 If the missing pin1 was the only problem I would also expect it to work but generate trash data for the J13 pots due to the floating pin. You can simply replace it, MCP3208 is an 'off the shelf' serial ADC with no firmware. It should work by default. From the AINSER64 page under "Testing": Move that chip select jumper, let us know exactly what the LEDs are doing (even if the symptoms do not change) and we will move forward from there. Best regards Tim
  11. Posting this here since my email is throwing a timeout error..... Hi Louis, I had not seen that thread.... since the tornado my internet access here is mostly frustrating and unusable (high packet loss). After looking at the photos only one thing jumps out at me - the Core:J19 to AIN:J2 cable looks mirrored/reversed/wrong. This does not make sense to me (but I have not had my coffee yet so nothing seems quite right). I would not expect the LEDs to be lit with the connection reversed, but I have seen stranger things happen with power taking 'alternate' routes through I/O pins on other/non-midibox equipment..... This should be very easy to check: Pull IC1 and IC2 on the AIN, power up the Core, and check the power/ground pins at the IC1 and IC2 sockets. It will be missing/on the wrong pins if the cable is the cause. Let me know how it goes! Best regards Tim
  12. Thanks guys! Internet access is still mostly unusable here (extreme packet loss - pages/email won't load but IRC works). I am hoping to be back to normal with the shop by the end of the week. Best regards Tim
  13. I watched it from here. Impossible to correctly describe. Similar to standing near the tracks with a heavy freight train moving fast multiplied by 5. Intense sound, the ground shakes, low and high velocity debris. (disclaimer: do not ever do this. I had two separate real time radar feeds going which gave me plenty of time to decide whether to stay or get out of the way. Without live info and an understanding of what it means the only correct move is to seek shelter underground.) Definitely one of the worst ever in regards to damage. Awareness/advance warning had a large effect on the death toll, as did the response. Within an hour they had military and law enforcement helicopters scanning the area with thermal imaging systems. This helped quickly rescue over a hundred people trapped in debris. Here it looks more like after a heavy storm. Some trees down and a lot of dust from insulation. 14. Thanks guys sorry I worried you! Please pray for the people who lost loved ones. I live roughly 5 minutes by foot away from this surreal nightmare. I rode bikes and played here as a kid, back when kids spent the day outside. The response has been amazing. The minute you step on scene it restores your faith in humanity. Best regards Tim
  15. I am going to guess James is just confused about context or what thread he has posted in..... When you strip the session ID out of the link and use a proper login, it leads to a for sale thread by blackcelcius on the muffwiggler forum that includes: I don't see any mention of LED ring boards in the thread, but it is possible they were there but were already sold or traded. Even though it is James' first post he has been a registered user here since 09, which would make it the oldest "sleeper" spam account I have seen here....... plus the muffwiggler forum would have to be compromised and serving malware to make this link an exploit, etc. While I have no idea what the post is trying to communicate, I can tell you there is not much there to be afraid of. Best regards Tim
  16. Hi Louis, It looks like you are not seeing my emails so I will answer here: You will want 10k linear taper potentiometers for best performance. They are wired voltage divider style like the AIN modules. The AINSER_64 boards are in process and expected here in around one week. Feel free to send me a private message here on the forum if you have any other order or build related questions. Best regards Tim
  17. Hi guys, I turned off WIKI account registration temporarily due to an influx of junk/spam signups. More info here: Bad timing for a bot war. :( Best regards SmashTV
  18. Hi *, Due to a large amount of spam/junk registrations on the WIKI today I am turning off new account registration temporarily. If you already have an account on the wiki no problem, nothing changes. If you need an account for the wiki (required to post or edit) send me a private message here on the forum or simply post a reply to this message, I will keep my eye on it. Sorry for the inconvenience! SEO spammers making 80+ junk wiki accounts and the ongoing DDOS war are making "free" a bit costly today. Best regards SmashTV

Most PCB orders do not cost this much to ship. Shipping is done at my cost - I use "First-Class Mail International Large Envelope" service for the Low Value Orders, and either "First-Class Package International Service" or "Express Mail International" for the main shop depending on total value. The big difference between Express and First-Class is tracking, and my parcel insurer sets a 'requires live tracking for coverage' value threshold. The USPS rates are at https://www.usps.com/calculateretailpostage/welcome.htm for comparison. Best regards Tim
  20. Very likely..... This sounds like "text enhance" or a work-alike (there are many) that use adobe shockwave or adobe flash players to do the deed. A quick google scrape found some decent info here: http://botcrawl.com/how-to-remove-text-enhance/ Best regards Tim
  21. My first guess would be the R33 resistor array...... accidentally using a 10k "103" part here instead of the 1k "102" array can cause this. (both values are in a LPC kit/BOM) Wrong polarity on the array or an open connection on one pin can also generate the same symptom(s). Best regards Tim
  22. They are/were Bourns brand, from Mouser. I will check the ones I have in stock for similar variance. I am skeptical of the quality after hearing this (and if they are not 100% I will be removing them from the shop). Tension variance and jumpy behavior can be caused by overheating during soldering, but I am much more likely to blame poor QC at Bourns than assembly issues. Best regards Tim
  23. Hi Duggle, The easy way: click "My Media" in the message editor and select from thumbnails of all of your uploaded images. The generated tag markup: [sharedmedia=gallery:images:127] the result (with automatic thumbnail/small preview): Best regards Tim
  24. Hi Alex, Typical meters do not work this way, Attempting to measure continuity/resistance on a live circuit can damage the meter and the circuit under test. Same for diode and transistor check settings - never on a live circuit! Best regards Tim
  25. Happy sound check day!

Yeah, we got an SMS from the kindergarden here that we should bring something white for Sam to dress up in when celebrating Lucia here, but instead he was home with me and missus - I was to be home with him coz he is sick and can't be in kindergarden, but missus came home from work soon after she left, coz the school she works at closed down. Cozy day :D
