  3. This is really, really great. I'll test it out with my Yamaha DTX-Multi 12 percussion and Virus Snow after I get an OTG cable.
  4. I've also had good experiences with Seeedstudio. They did an excellent job on some complicated SMD boards.
  5. One more thing: I highly, highly recommend using Kester 331 solder which uses polyethylene glycol instead of rosin as a flux. Synth developers such as Paul Schreiber (MOTM) and John Blacet swear by it as it is believed to be much less toxic. However, since it's an water-based acid flux, you need to wash your board after with distilled water within a couple of hours so the acid doesn't eat the board. It's also to be avoided around pots and switches which it can damage.   6. I got bronchitis last year for 6 weeks and all evidence points to solder fumes. To be very frank, it's going to take me a while longer to recover.   7. 20 years of soldering has taken its toll on me and I had to install some proper ventilation. I highly disagree with Hawkeye's "solution" because those filters simply don't handle any microparticles. When rosin-based flux is heated, it releases formaldehyde (among other nasty things) which can't really be removed by this kind of carbon filter. The ducts go straight out my window. If you don't have a window, then put on a HEPA filter on the tubes. Find a cheap one for a vacuum cleaner.

  20. TK - For the sequencer, would it make sense to blink one of the encoder-ring LED's as a step-chaser that follows the pattern, like in this video?

Works perfect here with TortoiseSVN on Windows 8.1: - I have it integrated into my shell, so when I right-click the target directory on my computer, I then select "TortoiseSVN" then "Export". - I use the same URL TK gave - svn://svnmios.midibox.org/mios32 - then click "OK" (Edit: Just tried and Checkout works too)

  24. 0V min, and approximately 10V max is fine. Keytracking and Pitch CV are the same input. 1. When you have the filter self-oscillating, you can use it as a 1V/Oct. oscillator, hence "Pitch CV". 2. Keytracking on a filter is used for 2 main purposes: and you play a note from an oscillators that go into the filter, the keytracking opens the filters proportional to the pitch. You do this so you get a consistent amount of harmonics over the range of the oscillator, ie. higher notes need the filter to be open more, lower notes need the filter to be open less. The keytracking is also very important musically when the resonance is higher so that the frequency of the resonance follow the frequency of the oscillator. This makes them both in tune with each other :)
